Pros +
- This hotel was very conveniently located near the Plaza Mayor and very nice! The rooms were clean and spacious, as was the bathroom. The breakfast was good as well.
- The location suited us best as we wanted an overnight stop over between Madrid and Alicante. We were greeted with a smile in spite of checking in at 1.00 am! The Hotel was more than comfortable with good hot breakfast. There is a bar cum restaurant which was open till late at night. The best part part was the covered on site indoor parking.
- Beautiful property in a wonderful town known far and wide for the excellence of its roast suckling pig restaurants, located quite close to Madrid. The town is justly famous for its beautiful central (round!) plaza that doubles as a bullfighting ring once a year. A very lovely hotel, surrounded by gardens, beautiful views, great breakfast.
Cons -
- Nothing. Parking was a tad expensive but it was easy enough to find spaces nearby on the street.
- We hated the fact that we did not have more time at Chinchon, a stay that we shall forever cherish.
- Nothing to improve upon!

Everything, location, parking, breakfast, room, staff
Good stay at Condesa. We stayed in a three-beds room with some views of the village. At the beginning we though the extra bed would be a little bit uncomfortable, but finally my friend snored like a little ferret and the room met expectations. What I liked the most was the breakfast: some fried eggs, some tortilla, grated tomate for the toasts were some of the products. Good variety and we enjoyed it for 10 euros. One my friends took as well two box of Corn Flakes Kellogs and we had to tell him to stop. Good proof of how comfortable we ere. Amazing vibes. It has too a Castilian pretty patio.Afther taking breakfast we went to the Chinchon famous square and we took some 'pelotas de fraile' ("monk balls") and some 'tetas de novicia' ("novice boobs"), native products of the village. Amazing too.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. They offered us the choice of two rooms; the first had had a smoker so we moved without problems. The room was very comfortable indeed and beautifully decorated- laminate floors are a luxury we don't normally see. . The beds were very nice and the town very pleasant, if a little bit of a tourist trap Parking was easy just about 200 metres away.
Location and old world charm
Easy to hear the occupants in other rooms
Good parking in an underground carpark at the rear of the hotel. Pretty garden with seating. Plenty of variety at breakfast including, surprisingly, bacon and eggs! Lift from underground carpark to all floors. Very close to the centre of Chinchon with all its bars and restaurants.
Coffee at breakfast. The room was very dusty when we arrived but the lady on reception sorted it. Not happy with the system of a little card to get you into the room and access electricity. Card lost its magnetism whilst we were out and we had to go to reception. The room had a balcony but it felt a bit unsafe as it was on a slope! WE didnt stand on it again. Room was small and very dated. It could do with a refurb-bathroom door was tatty and there was paint peeling off the walls.
The location was amazing. The extra 10EU for the safe parking was worth it for us. We may have been able to find free parking on the street, but the street was so narrow, I was worried about our car getting hit. If it is a busy time, forget finding parking unless you want to pay at the public lot. You can pull up to the front to check-in which was nice. It's all about the parking in these small towns for us. The parking in the garage was tight, but we had a bigger car and it was fine. Great location to walk around the town. It was quiet and safe. Theresa at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
The bed was creaking and too hard for my taste, but the sheets were very nice, and that is also important for us. I slept well and that is what counts
It was a lovely traditional Spanish hotel in an excellent location, just down the street from the Plaza Major. It had it’s own easy/accesible parking. The breakfast was excellent.
If i was being picky our room could have done with some redecorating (wall paper ripped/scuffed) this didn’t affect our lovely overnight stop. I would stay again.
Fantastic location. Very helpful staff. Having access to a secure parking area was useful.
A little dated but well cared for and very clean
Location and friendly staff
Has no complementary tea or coffee in room and bathroom needs maintenance.
Great location. Really convenient underground parking. Staff were excellent and spoke good English which was much appreciated.Powerful shower. A good nights rest.
Needs sprucing up, as decor is tired and worn in places.
Location is excellent, parking under the building is very super easy to use. Our room was excellent as were the staff.
Nicely furnished
The party in the next room were very noisy talking until 3.00am in the morning, then started again at 6.00 So a good nights sleep was impossible
Great location to explore the highlights of Chinchon. Parking was easy. Breakfast was exceptional.
Perfect location. Very comfortable and spotless. Excellent breakfast. Staff superb.Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay there again. Secure car park was a bonus.
Great location (on the main street, 2 min walk to the Plaza Mayor). The room is very clean and had a classic atmosphere. Pretty courtyard view from the window. Had a bath tub. Great cost - quality balance.
A kettle in the room would be nice. In cold days, nice to have a warm drink in the room. Most of the hotels have them.
A comfortable place to stay with a very warm welcome from receptionist Teressa. Room was spacious with a comfy bed.Small fridge in the room kept our wine cool and everything was clean and tidy. Situated within a town of narrow streets but easy to find. Secure underground parking is a bonus. Breakfast provided an immense choice of just about every breakfast food you couuld think of and it couldn't be faulted. Great for an overnight stop for the ferry ports.
This hotel has obviously been quite a special place to stay at one time but it's starting to show signs of wear & tear. It's nice & clean but some dodgy repairs are evident such as tiling in the bathroom and the bedroom would benefit from a freshen up of the decor. This is more an observation than anything else, it wouldn't stop us staying there again.
It was authentically Spanish and very characterful, completely in keeping with the surroundings. The jacuzzi bath was an added bonus. The location was central and our room had the best view out of a bathroom ever! Absolutely loved it.
