Hotel Marinella

Stayed on our way to Sicily, friendly staff, very helpful, room was immaculate and the food in the dinning room was excellent. So nice in fact we will stay again on our return trip to northern Italy.

Can't think of anything

The location is good away from town ..you will need a car to go to town..There is a nice beach a little ways behind the hotel.. there was a minu fridge in the room ,there is free parking at the property .

The hotel is always dark .Very weak lighting in lobby and common areas..the wifi basically never works..so if you need it for work just forget about it..the front desk service is basically inexistant in the morning there is no one there. Breakfast was ok good enough. What we really didn't like is that they turn off the Air conditioning in the morning from 10 am to 2 pm..they control it from the front desk i believe..in the summer this is not acceptable !! I would have told them this when we checked out, but there was no one at the front desk , again !! .The balcony is big enough, but their outdoor furniture consisted of 1 ugly plastic chair .and that was it ..I guess if you have 2 people in the room you're supposed to take turn on this chair?..the wooden shutters haven't been cleaned in a very long time .they could use a good cleaning ..this hotel could be a real nice place but only under a different management..The rooms are really just basic No phones .A tiny tv.The cleaning crew and the lady at breakfast were the best part of this hotel... I am sure there are much better places to stay in the area .

Our stay was great.

Very friendly people, very clean and good bed. Breakfast was also very good and we had a very tasteful pizza in the restaurant. So it was very good value for money!

Bathroom a bit outdated.

Quietness of the room and if the blinds are closed, it really was dark - just the way we like it. Administration was quick and straight forward. The pool looks really nice (and other quests seemed to enjoy it), but we didn't have the time to hang around the pool this time... Otherwise I'm sure we'd have liked it a lot as well.

Closeness to the main road. When you're sitting outside in the restaurant, it can get a little noisy when trucks are passing by. (On the other hand, when you arrive or leave, you're right there or on your way again. So it's pro and con...)

I would not recommend a stay here.

We had to leave our key when we left the hotel. When we returned there were several room keys on the counter for various guests. There explanation that the keys were safe because of the video camera was very poor.

The staff is amazing. They treated me like I was family. The food was delicious. It felt like home away from home. Karaoke night was a hoot. The beautiful beach was just a short walk away. I'm going back to see my new friends at the Hotel Marinella. That says it all! I'm going back!
