    • The peaceful vibe, the air conditioning, the comfortable bed and the amazing food and friendly staff!
    • Amazing surprise !We have been warmly welcome upon check-in by a very friendly lady called Asia and upgraded to a suite room. We travel a lot and experimented all types of rooms or suite and this suite was just perfect. The bed was so comfortable, the decoration was on point, the bathroom very well thought with a Jet/bidet for the toilet ! great add-on especially after we lived in South East Asia for more than 15 years. We got in room dining and the food was very good too.The pool was immaculate and so quiete. The breakfast was set with a very generous buffet with all sorts of savory or sweets items to choose from. Eggs are made based on your likings. We had an amazing sleep and the room was pitch black which was important for us. The staff was great, we chat with a few and all were very friendly

    Cons -

    • Even tho I am a picky guest and myself in the hospitality business, nothing has disappointed us during our stay. We regretted having booked our next hotel already a while ago otherwise we would have extended our stay without hesitations.
    • - We had to use a babysitting service which ended up costing circa 30 euros an hour. Yes it was external to the hotel but they could have done a better job at negotiating a reasonable rate. - Gym could have been a bit better.
    • Travelling with a car is a must. There are few things to see in the proximity, except for the small village of Ambra (not a tourist destination).

Excellent hotel. Paradise for those who needs Gluten Free kitchen.Great place to have 3 generations holiday. Grandparents in a suit and children and grandchildren in an apartment ( there are 4) .It is not a fancy hotel and it feels like home, also because of the attitude of the staff,Very good breakfast and also a very good restaurant on site. For sure we will come againGood location to visit both Toscana's wine route, as well as all main cities

We had a lovely stay at Il Verreno. It has a quiet, understated luxury with tasteful design throughout. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, blending modern style with Tuscan charm. The resort grounds are beautiful, surrounded by rolling hills and peaceful greenery, perfect for relaxing walks. The food is simply amazing, showcasing local ingredients with care. Management and staffs are friendly and attentive. We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.

Beautiful setting in the Tuscan hills. The restaurant is delicious. The staff are lovely. Breakfast was great.Small town nearby if you need anything.

    - We had to use a babysitting service which ended up costing circa 30 euros an hour. Yes it was external to the hotel but they could have done a better job at negotiating a reasonable rate. - Gym could have been a bit better.

Exceptional property, on a small hill top. Spacious room. The restaurant is closer to fine dining than traditional, with excellent courses and an extensive wine list. Staff is very well prepared and friendly. We had a big delay with our flight and arrived at 01:00 in the night, the Chef was waiting for us and was very helpful. Amazing wildlife around. Wild boards, rabbits, foxes. Drive carefully. Not cheap, not overly expensive, hits the right balance. The location is 30 30-minute drive from Siena, and it is great for exploring all major Tuscan regions. 1 hour drive to Montepulcianio, San Giminiano, Chianti regions.

Travelling with a car is a must. There are few things to see in the proximity, except for the small village of Ambra (not a tourist destination).

    Amazing views, scenery and breakfast

Accessibility for family’s with children. More shaded areas around pool.

It was beautiful both inside the building and outside, a true flavour of Tuscany

Being an old building , our room had lots of stairs to climb , next time I would ask for a lower floor room

great breakfast, good location chefs restaurant.

strange room design mix of traditional and old. bedroom should have the attached bathroom but it was attached to the libing room. lack of light. the area is a bit unattended the vegetable garden for example. small pool.

    8GyzelPosted on: 9-1-2024

Calm surroundings with a great in-premise restaurant, coupled with great staff

The pool area was less maintained than we expected.

    10SandyPosted on: 8-23-2024

Wonderful stay. The quiet place, charming room, nice swimming pool and amazing breakfast. Not a lot of rooms, and I liked it. I also recommend the restaurant ?

More leisures could be great like board games , ping pong table etc

    10DavidePosted on: 8-23-2024

Beautiful property, recently renovated, large double bedroom with living room. Room cleaned daily, staff always there to assist. Excellent restaurant. Very quiet location on top of a hill. Definitely recommended.

    All good

Authentic property. Genial staff. Exquisite food.

    7RichardPosted on: 8-7-2024

Exceptional Breakfast, location and rooms - They also bake wonderful cakes for breakfast

The staff went to a party on my arrival so I never got to find out how the dinner was, but I'm sure it would have been exceptional too.

    9HolgerPosted on: 8-5-2024

Very nice and beautiful resort in a scenic remote location, great for a taking a time out and enjoying the excellent cuisine of Donnaluisa. We had 2 nice and spacious rooms in the main building with comfortable beds, separate living room, both well airconditioned.

All good and exactly what we were looking for, just be aware it is somewhat remote.

Best shower, best beds, best food and staff! It was beyond perfect!
