Pros +
- Bike rental was convenient, we were able to use the spa with towels only(provided by the reception), no payment was needed.
- The location is great. The suites are spacious. Nice garden.
- Hotel infra-structure is very good and design is nice. Price-benefit balance is very good as well.
Cons -
- The room and bed cleaning could be better. On high season, parking is difficult. We had to park on the hotel next to it(200-300m away)
- There is maintenance pending at the hotel. Outdated elevators and hallways. The pool entrance ladder is broken. Carpets are a bit outdated. The showers at the pool were not functioning properly. The breakfast was ok but certainly not ‘excellent’ as mentioned as I would expect for the amount charged better coffee, juices, scrambled eggs, meat cuts as well as for example salmon, pepper and salt not from plastics etcThe artwork in the hotel with Katja Schuurmans etc needs an upgrade.Given the high season rates it all felt a bit pricey compared to the value.
- Check-in was at 3pm, but the room was not ready and had to wait in the lobby until 4:30pm. No compensation for the delay in the check-in time was provided.

Swimming pool goodbreakfast good selectionnice view from room 254snack during happy hour
Room cleaning only on request, the balcony was not clean when we arrived (full of sand on the floor), one lady at the reception was unpleasant, at the swimming pool there is constantly lots of water on the floor, nobody is coming to remove it, the hotel’s parking is overpriced (18 eur per day), the dinner in the hotel’s restaurant was overpriced for what you get, the breakfast was very basic.
The location is fantastic! Very very friendly staff. The breakfast was very good, excellent coffee ☕️.
The door at balcony and the windows above the bed were not very clean.
The staff was amazing, the hotel is really nice, plenty of facilities. The location is also good. We travelled with public transport and the bus stop is just a bunch of minutes away. What I personally didn't like is the mattress, too soft and I woke up every day with back pain.If one doesn't want to spend too much for eating there, there is a cheaper alternative nearby. One more thing: the Finnish sauna has a dodgy door that closes only applying force, which most of the people didn't do and therefore the door was always a bit open, so the next guest going there was not having a great sauna time. Hopefully they will fix it.
The room was very spacious, the bed comfortable but was a bit surprised that the room looked like it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned upon check in. One of the towels had very obviously been used. We noticed, too that during the 4 days we were there not once had the corridor on our floor been vacuumed as there were bits of tissue and sand and dirt on the carpeting. Because many guests bring their dogs and the because of the close proximity to a sandy beach one would assumed that it would be vacuumed daily. The breakfast buffet was so so. Parking fee expensive. And there was a 12,50€ charge for bathrobe and slippers. In other hotels we’ve stayed at this was offered in the price of the room. There’s definitely room for improvement.
Despite being a large hotel, the lounge bar and restaurant were calm and relaxing. The room was large with nice view and comfy bed and shower. So woken up gently, after a extensive tasty breakfast, you can discover the lovely surroundings on foot or bike. The rental bikes were of good quality.
As the hotel is rather large, you expect a large wellness area, but the sauna and steam bath were small (like max 4 people). The room itself was large, but not cosy, missed some furniture or decorations. In contrast to the breakfast, the dinner both at the bar and restaurant wasn’t truly good quality, not bad neither, just medium. For instance, all the main dishes have the same cooked veggies, which were rather cold.

Hygiene and the poor state of the Spa facilities and pool
Beautiful hotel. Nice, clean and spacious room.Nice swimming pool and spa. Delicious breakfast.
Just 1 tea bag in the room. Not enough staff, or not attentive enough. Had to wait 15 minutes before they got our drink order at the bar lounge.Roomservice dishes on the 2d floor of the hotel floor. We walked past it a few times. It was there for more than 24 houres. Should have been picked up. Makes a messy impression of the hotel. Which is ashame as it is a lovely and for the rest clean hotel.
Big room, and large bathroom. Breakfast was rather good. Service was nice.
- Spa was average: the sauna was not hot enough, the steam room was smelly. No one was coming to take the water away from time to time, so sleepers were soaked in water and not usable. I also think there should be time slots for kids so they don’t come when people want to relax in peace and quietness. - Too many options: you have to pay extra for bathrope, sleepers and parking. Just include everything in the price already and offer a good service by default.- Not that clean: lots of dust on the bathroom heaters, found a bottle from a past customer under the bed, only one layer (instead of usually 2) of bed sheet on the mattress.
Rook was huge and very comfortable with everything needed; breakfast was wonderful - lots of options and delicious and my kids LOVED the pool which was always accessible, clean and fun.
I asked for the room to be cleaned one day before we left and unfortunately it looked as it only towels were changed (sheets not changed, no new toilet paper or tissues so we ran out, etc.) which was not ideal but maybe they were waiting to do a bigger clean after we checked out which is understandable in some ways but also would have been nice to feel we were still getting the extra care.
Nice bar at the hotel. Nice pool with sauna.
NA
A good location with reasonably priced parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. We appreciated the upgrade room which was roomy and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious but had terrible lighting & no magnifying mirror. The large shower with a surprisingly small shower head was odd.
The breakfast is expensive and really not worth the price ~ all the hot food was cold, & the selection was below average. I would not have breakfast here again.
Comfortable
Extras kept coming. At the end, we paid an extra 50% in non announced extra. What a rip off
Great room, great food in the restaurant, beautifully designed interior, had a very comfortable stay
Expensive parking, the spa has no rules about noise, many people talking loudly, using phone on speaker, making it impossible to relax.
continental breakfast vs gluten free and vegetarian food, fresh and tasty fruit and great coffee was perfect for me. Also for someone with Diabetes type 1. The dining room is really nice and the chillout music in the background is great.
No idea. It’s like to me and my daughter things are really good organized.
I loved the lounge. The hotel was also very pet friendly, which made it a perfect stay with our dog. We will definitely bring him again. And although there were a lot of dogs, the hotel feels really quite and very relaxing. I also like that you could eat in the lounge at specially reserved tables for dog owners.
The only thing that could be better was that for breakfast, there was nothing on the tables, no pepper, no salt, no olive oil. We also missed salad on the buffet. The rest was nice though.
Calm location, great for long walks, runs and bicycles tours. The hotel lobby and restaurant are very cosy. Good selection of food, bites and drinks.
The safe in our room didn’t work. Only after we started complaining, it was fixed halfway. Guests are asked to proactively request room cleaning before 11 am, even though we did that, our room was not cleaned. Again, only after we started complaining we received new towels. The sauna/pool area could be cleaner, the sauna worked only intermittently, the water dispenser was empty most of the time. The food was good, but expensive for what it was
