The garden is exceptional, and is the highlight of the property! The food was very good

Not that it's any problem, but there were mainly elderly couples, which is obviously the target group of the hotel

My family and I spent the weekend here and were impressed by the surroundings of this hotel, the greenery, the high-class service staff, we highly recommend it❤️

I think I’ve finally found the exotic vibe I was looking for! The hotel has a stunning botanical garden, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the rooms were absolutely amazing. It even reminded me of the hotels from The White Lotus, a series I absolutely love! Thank you for the wonderful experience and hospitality. We’ll definitely be back next time - with our cats!

No elevator, lots of stairs, no water in room, room difficult to find in the dark even with plan. No signs on which floor the room number is.

Amazing location staff and food

The gardens are exquisite and cared for with exceptional attention to detail. If a leaf dares to fall it is picked up immediately! The pool area is beautiful, with masses of seating, and the pool itself is spotless. Every single member of staff is delightfully friendly and helpful.The apartments feel spacious and are immaculate, like the entire complex. Personally I didn’t much care for the green theme which looks a bit drab, but we got used to it. The bathroom was attractive and there was plentiful hot water. The view from Block C is glorious.The shop was surprisingly well stocked considering it only caters for hotel guests.The restaurant is attractive, with plenty of inside, outside and semi-outside seating. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was fine but not particularly exciting, especially for vegetarians, though what we ate was always of good quality. Parking was sometimes tricky, though using the garden gate rather than the front door helped considerably when we were parked further away.The airport was nearby, which was ideal, especially as it isn’t particularly busy and the planes using it are small, so the noise wasn’t a nuisance at all. The area close by seemed slightly rundown - empty shops, closed cafes, etc., but for the most part we were out and about (we hired a car), so that wasn’t a problem. Not far from gorgeous Santa Cruz.All in all, we loved our stay at Hacienda San Jorge, and would highly recommend it for a lovely peaceful stay in beautiful surroundings. A very well-run establishment.

We liked the territory a lot - especially for the child it was perfect with the small digs and Lola :) the pool was good and just eat the beach - also good for children

We didn’t like the food at all! Poor breakfast and also the dinner .. we were expecting better choice and quality of the food for the money we have paid ..and also with the room - 2 adults and baby of 3 years old to provide 2 single beds united .. not very comfortable with child .. but as soon as we were just 2 nights we decided not to bother anyone ..

Great hotel with a huge garden. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. it is a bit rustic (don’t expect a typical modern hotel experience) but that’s exactly its charm.

Relaxed environment. Effie entry managed. Excellent gardens with a couple of lovely cats.

The staff at this hotel have to be the loveliest people I've had the pleasure to meet. The staff in the food hall just couldn't do more to help and make everything perfect. One waiter 'Lito' told me he'd been working there for over 25 years! That's saying something. Rosario, Daniel, Ceci, Nicole we're all attentive and worked with such coordination it was lovely to see. One morning my mum couldn't make it to breakfast, and when they noticed she wasn't with me, they organised a breakfast that I could take to the room for her. Including two huge thermos jugs full of hot coffee/ milk. The staff in the orchid bar Jorge and Maria, were friendly and chatty, and made some lovely cocktails. The lifeguard José was just so friendly and welcoming with everyone and helped us find the perfect spot with shade. The receptionists made check in/out really fast and easy. Even the gardeners and maintenance men/women were friendly and smiley every time they passed by. Gave a really nice happy atmosphere.We loved the enormous pool. My son and I didn't want to get out!The rooms were nice and modern and the beds were really comfortable. The WiFi worked well in block A. Well enough to watch Netflix before bed. The walk in showers were lovely, again we didn't want to get out of that either. The surrounding gardens full of beautiful plants and trees, animals and birds gave the place a lovely feel to it.Even though the hotel was full, it felt empty and private. There were always sunbeds free, and tables free in the dining area. It was a lovely stay. Will definitely be going back.

Even though the staff in the food hall were amazing and without fault, I didn't find the food in the evenings up to the standard of the hotel.There was little choice and a lot of the things tasted the same. That being said, the breakfast buffet was fine. If I do come back I will just go for breakfast only and eat elsewhere or cook in the appartment.There was abseloutly nothing else I could find fault in, at this hotel.

Everything is clean, the garden is beautiful, nice pool and beautiful views from the restaurant. Onsite supermarket and free coffee are a bonus. Kitchen and bathrooms are nicely renovated.

It's dated. broken tiles in walkways, dirty concrete pathways, no elevator and aircon. I'll think its a better 3star plus hotel, not a 4 star or even 5star
