Pros +
- Fantastic location across from the lake. Friendly staff. Beautiful decor and simple and secure free parking.
- No complaints whatsoever. Staff was great (all of the staff). centrally located but quiet. I can imagine how summers would be much more active, but this quiet, beautiful setting is what we were looking for at this time.
- Breakfast was available.
Cons -
- The eggs were cold and not very good.
- Shower too small
- Breakfast is much worse than average. The omelet is inedible. The only good thing is the coffee. The shower is a disaster – it’s impossible to turn it on without first being completely doused with cold water. Women might “like it”))) – but it’s the end for any hairstyle. The wide double bed comes with a double sheet instead of a duvet cover, and on top of it you’re supposed to put a single woolen blanket of questionable cleanliness – and both sleep under it.

Shower too small
An excellent place, the best. A beautiful hotel with great parking.

Great location, free parking in a locked area next to the hotel, nice views, very friendly and helpful staff. The “garden / pool view” rooms do include a partial view of the lake and are a bit quieter of traffic noise than those facing the main boulevard.
No problems.
Very nice location, just across the lake! Hotel has its own parking and it has a pool.
Room was quite small and the aged AC hardly worked.
The location on Piazza Dante Alighieri is convenient to the lake, 2 lake front restaurants, and a pretty walk on a hydrangea lined street up to the walled city section. Convenient parking in a gated lot behind the hotel. Stop in front of the hotel on the piazza to checkin, drop bags, and then park. There is an elevator for handicap access, but all access to the pool is via steps. The hotel furnishings and decor is very traditional, pretty, and the photos are representative. There is a very nice pool that has a couple umbrellas for shade.Breakfast is provided: meat and cheese, bread, yogurt, cereal, and assortment of cakes and croissant. Coffee/tea/water. Breakfast ends at 10:30 and they will ask if it’s ok to clear food starting at 10:15, so don’t go down late. The shower is a corner shower. Half of each of the doors on the sides (not against the wall) slide back. Some will find the entry to the shower to be small. It wasn’t an issue for us.
We will complain about the air conditioning. Where the hotel has a/c, it is not effective enough to adequately cool the rooms. There is no individual temperature control in each room, so you only get whatever temperature the hotel sets. It seems the temperature gets turned up a lot during the day (or the a/c cannot keep up with the heat during the day) and by the time it starts running at night, it is too hot to sleep. Around 8:30am we can notice cooler air blowing in the room, but it’s too little too late. At 37C outside, it was uncomfortable to sleep. Even opening the window didn’t help at night.
Breakfast was fantastic, and the location is the best for visiting and exploring Bolsena.
The swimming pool needed to be cleaned.
I loved everything about my stay at this lovely hotel with my water views. My room was great, breakfast was also but the standout nicest person there was the receptionist. She has great English and did everything with a smile. I’d recommend this hotel or location to anyone. I liked that as a pilgrim I wasn’t looked down on walking in hot, sweaty and dusty with my back pack.
While it wasn’t a problem for me, I thought anyone carrying weight would struggle to fit in the shower door.
Staff were fantastic. Room was lovely and clean.
Shower was small.
Very comfortable hotel, great value, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast
The room cost was an off season bargain for a 4 star hotel on Bolsena lake. The room was spotless. I got a large bed even though a single. I'm not sure why I've read bad things about the breakfasts. It's one of the few places that have served a large amount of scrambled eggs. The room itself was very quiet. This was a Francigena rest day for me and I enjoyed it very much.
They had I stalled new floors which gave off a bit of a smell. Not horrific, and likely won't last long.
reception staff! she was helpful and kind. room comfortable. location by lake.
no dinner service.
Location in front of the lake
WIFI not strong enough and heating not appropriate with a night at 7 degrees
Large rooms and great location to the beach and promenade..The water was scalding hot and the windows opened 2 ways
Breakfast could have been better but the staff were very accommodating.
We booked the junior suite Room 309. The room itself is quite small but the balcony was enormous with a fabulous view over the lake and marina. Reception staff very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast wasn’t great, did feel like staff were keen for us to eat and go! Bar wasn’t open as such but drinks available. Pool is not heated so v cold.
Location was perfect and pool was lovely
Room was tiny 3x4m and bed was hard and uncomfortable but otherwise good. No blankets so had to had ask for 2 to keep warm as no ac/heater so price was a bit high for what you got.
Friendly staff, great location. Pristine facilities
Great location. Very clean. Comfy beds and linen. Nice pool. Staff were friendly.
Breakfast was not the best (cold eggs, took ages on our first day to get a coffee as they were short staffed, not enough glasses or yoghurt etc). If you say you serve brekkie til 10.30 then the eggs should still be hot at 10! No iron in the hotel. Rooms were clean but very small. Decor from the 1970s.
