    • Convenient
    • Pretty hotel in the heart of the village with free private parking. Comfortable bed. We were only there for one night for an early ferry departure so we did not have any meals there or use the spa facilities.
    • Location

    Cons -

    • Worst towels ever. Very tired shabby decor. Room not cleaned properly. No mirror in room. Dreadful shower.
    • Our room was a little noisy being on the ground floor next to the street but thankfully things quieted down overnight. We had problems with the wifi never connecting despite following the instructions in the room.
    • Where to begin. Firstly after booking in advance I noticed the price of the room on the check in day had significantly dropped by €30 then €40 a figure not to be sniffed at .. I did take issue with the hotel directly they said there was nothing they could do about the difference .. Hint maybe some sharp outside the box thinking would have suggested a free breakfast to ease the feeling of being completely ripped off ? But no nothing .. to me this means A. Lesson learned do not advance book keep checking prices and B. They have lost any future business I may have considered. The room first given had been freshly painted with oil based paint we had to move due to the vapors .. the second room felt dank dark and slightly grubby we had the window open all night due to a strange odor coming from the bathroom .. final thoughts be aware of their dynamic pricing structure and room condition before booking.

Good comfortable room, very clean. Competent ,attentive staff . Excellent restaurant with good choice of food.

Only one coffee pod for coffee maker in the room .

The hotel is exceptional, the breakfast was continental, the location for Pegasus Bridge was an easy 10 minute walk, the staff were friendly.

The car park for our block was a bit of a squeeze to make sure the others had enough room to get passed.

Great experience all the way around. Clean, very conveniently located, delicious breakfast (lots of variety), a very nice restaurant onsite, and a wonderful, helpful staff. This in one of several places we stayed on a 14-day D-Day focused trip, it was one of the best. I would not hesitate to stay there again. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to stay near Pegasus Bridge. Fantastic!!!

Distance from the ferry port. It was very easy to get to.The hotel is very attractive and set in a pretty village.Good, clean bathroom.

Being woken up by noisy guests downstairs in the bar /restaurant. At 00.30 we had to go down to request that they keep the noise down as we had an early ferry to catch. The whole point of a hotel is somewhere to have a good night's sleep. There didn't appear to be any means of complaining to staff e.g.no telephone in the room but they were being served drinks. This explains the low overall score. It is a shame we had this experience as this could be an excellent hotel. For a superior room[number 24] we would have expected better pillows and a full length mirror in the room. Miserly number of coffee pods for the machine.

Took us for a last minute dinner

Rooms weren’t great. Breakfast served late. Heat in room didn’t seem to work right.

Great location and access!Husband and wife were the BEST!The restaurant is a must!!

Street level room windows only had sheer drapes, no solid window covering

    All was ok!!!!

The shower was VERY slippery, it needed a mat so we had to use a towel, very dangerous!!!!!

The restaurant was good and the staff helpful. The heating in the room didn’t work properly and it was cold.

    Lack of heating

We had to change our Ferry crossing and didn’t arrive till late. The young lady very kindly put a plan in place so we could get into our room. The staff are very kind and attentive and we had a very nice room. We will definitely stay again, thank you

Lovely hotel. Very close to ferry port at Ouistreham. Interesting menu for dinner.

Very tight to get into car park.

As Ever - Staff were on hand to book us in after we arrived on the late Caen ferry. The hotel is nice, the room comfortable and the staff helpful - this is our Go To for early / late ferry crossings.

    All Good

Easy to find, good parking and perfect for our trips to the Normandy beaches Staff friendly and range of food for dinner good well prepared and full of flavour. The staff were friendly , bed room basic but clean and for great night sleep. Despite being on the road there was little road noise. We will stay again next time we come to Normandy.

Not so much a didn’t like but a surprise on the Thursday night that the hotel was closing for day on Friday! But as we had paid until Saturday we could stay but no food or drink available nor beds made or towels refreshed. When I asked the manager for a reason, he said that the hotel would be closed for Friday but not given say reason by the owner,

The location is good for a stop off . That’s all that’s ok.

We booked the superior room and well it was not .Smell of damp on entering and everything covered in black mould. The shower included.just a kettle and one coffee pod.the room was separate from the reception and parking was limited . Host was terrible only interested in where you park . We were attacked on the next day by immigrants in our motorhome and the host refused to help or call police , just said park elsewhere . Food in restaurant was inedible and very expensive .

This was our second stay at this hotel. We purposely caught an early morning ferry so we could stay here and eat at the restaurant on the last night of our holiday. The food was amazing last year when we stayed and this year did not disappoint. Our stay here made for a lovely end to our holiday. I have to be honest and say that we rarely stay in two star hotels but this is really good for a two star hotel, the food is amazing and its a ten minute drive to the ferry port. Our room was large, very clean and did not feel like a two star hotel. Bed was comfortable. We will always stay here whenever we need a hotel in this area. Practical note: there is lots of parking at the hotel and on the road.

    There is nothing to dislike.
