- A lot of Limescale in bathroom it needs some TLC. A good walk to park car, we were unaware the restaurant closed Sunday evening and Monday, Toilet wouldn’t flush without taking top off cistern. No refreshments at all as closed, no one about until breakfast.

Bags of towels, laundry, dirty bath, dirty bed, bags of junk everywhere
Charming hotel with art collection and antiques. Fan in room great! Much preferred over air conditioning. Comfortable bed and 3rd floor room with view.
Would have loved to have dinner, but closed Sunday night.
Our room on the third floor had a large balcony overlooking the outdoor seating area and rooftops of surrounding buildings. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very good. It was very warm when we arrived so we were happy that a fan was running when we arrived and we were able to open both sets of doors to the balcony. The painted doors on all the rooms as we went up to our room were very artistic and unusual! The location in old Biot was fantastic.
There was a lot of noise from people dining in the outdoor area of the restaurant below our room. It was difficult to get to sleep, but not a real problem. If you have a car, you will need to leave it in one of the parking areas and walk with your bags. We found a place in the Parking des Bachettes so we didn't have to climb all the way up the hill on foot.We left early so left the two keys in the door of our room. When we got down to the front door, it was locked, so I had to go up to our room, bring the keys down, unlock the front door so my partner could get our bags out, then go back and leave the keys in the door of the room. It wouldn't be safe if there was a fire at night as the fire escape plan on the walls could not be followed without having your keys to get out of the building.
original interiorgood breakfast
quite steep stairs (no elevator)light in the bathroom was quite low
Staff were incredibly considerate and nice. Great location a little out of the way for somewhere a little chill. Definitely is a bit of an effort to get to but the community is incredibly friendly.
Better transportation to the hotel.
The position was very good. Coffee was fine in the morning.
The shower did not work. Staff did not help take suit case upstairs on arrival. the bathroom fittings were broken. The guest had to keep turning on lights in the stairwell.
Great central authentic village location. Grest breakfast with hot tea (unusual in France!).
Sorry, but the room (11) just was not clean. Grubby bathroom, dust everywhere, jyst not acceptable. Bed dipped in the middle, not grest. Bed linen ok. Gloomy lighting.
Confortable and quiet place, and also quite beautiful. The breakfast is nice with croissant, orange juice and so on, and you can have it outside under the arcades if the weather is good, looking at Biot city slowly awakening. Diner is fine too : Les Arcades are a good restaurant. Dining room and bed rooms are uniquely decorated.
Nothing, except : don't even think to have breakfast before 8 AM, but it's Midi de la France, so...
Staff were great very helpful , nice view from the balcony
Steep stairs broken bed
Central location, very cosy rooms.
There is no elevator
A characterful old hotel in a quiet village square. We had a balcony with great view. The food was exceptionally good and meals were overseen with brio by the eccentric host. A great vibe.
This wouldn’t suit those who like all the mod cons and can’t manage steep winding stairs. The loo and shower were minuscule. The staff prioritise the restaurant so staying guests don’t get attentive service.
This is the best hotel and dining experience I’ve had in years. This family run hotel is steeped in generations of art history which is evident in the beautiful mosaics and paintings throughout the building, classic and skilfully decorated rooms and picturesque al fresco dining experience. You will meet and be welcomed and fed by generations of the family and their friendly quirky team. Everything here is simple, delicious, and no fuss. If you want an authentic, soulful stay, this is it. Did I mention they have an art gallery that is one of the best I’ve seen in years? Already plotting how I can live out of this hotel for weeks of the year!
Such a wonderful location so local to the church and heart of beautiful Biot. The rooms are all so individual and full of antique furniture and art work adorning the walls. So quirky and French - chic a’lore! Staff helped to gain early access to the room which was so kind and very much appreciated, as it was the best room overlooking the cobbled street for my son’s honeymoon night with his adorable new wife. They were able to enjoy their French breakfast outside on another sunny day. Thank you to all the staff who made us all feel so welcome.
Amazing hotel with art and gallery. Very friendly staff and beatiful view from terrace. Also Biot is very cute town.
a very warm welcome and excellent restaurant.
The room was a little tired, but very clean.
quirky and friendly - i have stayed several times and always very helpful and warm and welcoming - rooms charming - quintessential french village - love it
My 2nd time staying there - I love the quirky French hotel - if you are looking for a chain hotel with certain standard things this is not your place... funky paintings, curvy stairs, old furniture - super relaxed staff -love it - the breakfast in the town square lovely... and just as it should be in a quirky hotel above a wonderful restaurant
I know the place and know what I am getting - I am sure people dont like having to walk to the hotel or the windy stairs.. but I love it all
