    Pros +

    • Room very clean, breakfast wonderful ambiance.
    • The owner was lovely and the building is beautiful. Everything was very clean and the beds comfy. There are small things that in my opinion let it down and that is it needs updating. It was a bit of a mis match, beautiful wardrobe, modern headboard, old curtains. It wouldnt take much for a quick spruce up, but i would stay again as all clean. Didnt try dinner or breakfast.
    • Breakfast was wonderful. The location so peaceful and the buildung full of character

    Cons -

    • We got lost!! More detail on how to get there
    • Some things seemed a little silly, for instance there was a dining table in the living space and another taking up all the space in the small kitchen when they’re right next to each other.

Beautiful setting, lovely staff and fantastic value for money! The kids loved being able to hang out just outside our room.

Wonderful place! IT is located in the quiet , charming village, among the vineyards. The building is very old with a long history. Room was spacious, well furnished, with amazing old fireplace and very comfortable bed. IT is clear that the host pays a lot of attention to all decor details. This hotel is also accustomed for cyclist. There is a well equiped, secured bike storage.

The hotel is in a very nice old historical building. It was amazing to read the history of this ancient residence started from the XIII century in the hotel book. We lived on the top attic floor, which we climbed up by magic internal compact spiral staircase that looked like an attached tower from the outside. There is a large parking lot behind the house where we put our car and very nice breakfast in the restaurant in the nearest building. The location turned out to be really very convenient for visiting castles. We visited 5 castles in 3 days :) The room had a bath and everything you need, even a teapot for evening tea after trips and heaters which is important for cold period. It was also ideal for us from the number of beds point of view, usually, it is very hard to find satisfactory rooms in hotels. So we really liked the hotel and the details of its history are just what you expect from heart of France. Thank you for a good vacation!

Too short stay :) Whish to stay more :)

Beautiful historic exterior. Sadly let down by execrable interior decor, but that is pretty normal for France. Stripes and floral wallpaper in the same room, of a variety not seen since the early 1980’s and black curtains - why?! But there was a little kettle and mugs provided in the room - much appreciated. Lovely friendly welcome from the lady on reception. Easy to drive back into Chinon for dinner. Buffet breakfast the next morning taken outside which was nice, but frustratingly difficult to achieve a cup of tea - loose leaves with no strainer offered and a milk jug only found on request.

Access to our room (20) was via an external staircase - might not suit everybody.

The quietness, the comfort of the bed, the birdsong in the morning. The bathroom was fine, we had the suite so a good amount of space and we liked the traditional decor. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I was served a really excellent bottle of white Chinon as well!

Would have loved it if the restaurant were open!

Very romantic location, calm, natural - and the staff were exceptional, driving us to Chinon for a meal when the local taxi wouldn’t pick us up on time

    10DianePosted on: 6-25-2023

Beautiful property set in the countryside, buffet breakfast in the garden, spacious rooms. Excellent location for Chinon and to explore the chateaux.

Fabulous location, lovely grounds. Peaceful. Charming welcome at reception and check-out. Lovely spacious room, very quiet. Easy to get to Chinon.

Nice place surprisingly comfortable.. good location near to Chinon..A town we enjoyed. A 2 night stay over.. with adequate breakfast.Lashings of very hot water and mobile heating.

Shall we say it was very workable and obviously had seen some interesting times. Some updating would improve it but not really necessary for a short stay.

Lovely old manor house with extensive grounds the children enjoyed playing in. Room with kitchenette & outdoor terrace was very practical for our 2 families. The welcome was warm and the atmosphere relaxed. Big bike shed for all our 8 bikes & trailer! Would def recommend for a stop en route if you are biking in the Loire. We would also record the superb municipal pool in Avoine (baby pool & brilliant slide!) as well as pizzeria l’Herozo where we had an excellent evening meal. thanks!

A quiet and comfortable room, good parking and an excellent breakfast.

It's a shame that the on-site restaurant is no longer open as it provided excellent food at a reasonable price.

    10FionaPosted on: 6-12-2022

We loved the tranquil setting, we could charge our electric car overnight, have a lovely breakfast outside on the terrace, and we had a lovely spacious room. The Logis is dog friendly. The only thing that could have made it better was if it had a restaurant on site as we were quite tired when we arrived. But it was only 4km to the nearest town for a quick supper and back to the Logis for a drink on the terrace. Would 100% recommend this place and we will definitely be back when we need a stopover on our way to southern France.

A restaurant for dinner would have been very welcome but this didn’t spoil our visit.

The setting - plus the hosts were lovely - very helpful

No milk with the tea making equipment ( only a minor problem- we Brits fo like milk in our tea!!)

    10AlanPosted on: 5-29-2022

Well appointed room. Excellent breakfast. Attentive staff

Disappointed that dinner is no longer offered in the restaurant - but I understand the reason.

    7WimPosted on: 4-27-2022

Friendly staff, good breakfast, located in natural surroundings.

WiFi did not work, the restaurant was closed and there were no restaurants in the surroundings.
