    • superfriendly reception

    Cons -

    • Very dated overall feeling. Carpets in the room really needs to go.
    • Cleanliness, kitchen appliances not always cleaned
    • The structure is pretty old. It would benefit from a small refurbishing. Elevators were always very very busy and using the staircase wasn't really ok.

Lovely hotel, great location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, great amenities in and around the hotel. The property isn't the newest, but it is very well maintained and we found the entire deal great value for money. The kids loved the ping pong tables, pool billard tables, air hockey etc. The beach is only a few metres walking distance from the hotel entrance and there is a small shop and a bakery nearby. Access to a very nice public swimming pool (slides, whirlpool, baby pool, wave pool) for 2 hours is included in the price for every day spent at the hotel.

    View. Strand. Kitchen.

The beach location is great, although a first floor balcony with a view on the roof of the restaurant (instead of the sea) was a pity.

The appartement was not clean: floors were dirty with death insects, smell in the bathroom was very bad (strong sewage smell from the opening in the bathroom floor), and the curtains looked disgusting. Check in is only at 5pm, while check out is already at 10am. Very overpriced.

Nice beach, and great facilities at the hotel, also for children. Large room with all basic amenities and a well-equipped kitchen.

Wi-Fi reception was weak and unstable.

The rooms were spacious, the furniture was a bit old but comfortable.

There was no shampoo/shower gel in the room. Had to wash myself with hand soap. The wifi was slow to the point of not working. It wasn't the worst place I've stayed in, but ut definitely wasn't worth 150 euros per night.

The location was superb. Directly at the beach. Friendly workers. Beautiful atmosphere. I would love to visit there again. Was very family friendly.

Our stay at this beachside hotel was a remarkable experience. Its proximity to the beach was a major highlight, complemented by an array of on-site activities that kept us entertained during the winter windstorm. The cleanliness and spaciousness of our room, along with a well-equipped kitchen, made our stay comfortable and convenient. The view from the upper levels is absolutely stunning. The hotel’s dog-friendly policy was appreciated, though it’s worth noting that it applies only up to the 4th floor and specifically to the twin bedrooms with single beds. However, the beds can be easily connected, which was a handy feature.Dining here was a culinary delight. The breakfast offered a wide range of delicious choices, ensuring a great start to the day. The dinner, especially the fish soup and fish and chips, was of top quality and highly enjoyable. Dogs are also accepted in the restaurant both for dinner and breakfast, major major plus. In summary, this hotel is an excellent choice for those seeking a beach vacation or a winter getaway with comfortable amenities and great food, all in a pet-friendly environment. Highly recommended!

I would approach the dog policy to be implemented also on the double room and higher levels not only a single beds room up until the 4th floor.

Very Nice location located on beautiful beach. Close proximity to cozy nearby town of Burg, with many good food options. Great with access to nearby swimming facilities

Room layout felt squeezed and the facilities hadn’t been modernised for decades - but this is also reflected in the price level. Staff service level could have been better and insisting on only communicating in German, which stretched my school German capabilities

Fantastic view, nice balcony, pizzeria was nice, breakfast good

Could have been cleaner... sorry guys, but our bathroom was a bit rotten. And your WLAN was a kind of joke

    The view

The furniture from the 70s, the stains in the carpet, the "beds" ....

Very old hotel, old rooms with carpet. Old restaurant. Buffet in the morning (breakfast) nothing special everyday the same choice and very limited

It has lots of facilities outdoor and indoor, so even if the weather was not the best we could enjoy our time by using indoor facilities. Restaurants are a bit expensive but variety of food is available. Staff is very friendly. We asked for net to the room window, and they made it immediately.

I was staying in vitamar house, so internet did not work for couple of days of my stay, and during 9 days, in vitamar indoor pool activating bubbles did not work.

    5MarenPosted on: 6-29-2023

The reception area and restaurants were amazing. Smelled clean and looked clean. Staff was very polite and nice. Windrose buffet for dinner is great value.

The rooms need a good deep clean and switch out some furniture. they are very tired looking. people are smoking on their balconies and that smoke sits in the room once you have a window or door open. but the room has no AC, so you needed a window open. Bad circle.

perfect location, very nice winter garden, clean room, possiblity to use the „Fehmare“.

we could enter the room first at 5 pm. we had to leave it already at 10 am. We booked the stay in Haus Vitamar so that we would have the possibility to go to swimming pool, and when we wanted to use it we found out that in the week one can use it from 3 pm. This should be mentioned at arrival. There was no buffet for children for breakfast and dinner.

Spacious apartment and wonderful view. Serviceoriented staff.

    8KristinaPosted on: 4-15-2023

Our view of the ocean was great. The rooms were clean and the office staff was pleasant.

The restaurants in the hotel were not very good (13 Euros for a plain spaghetti) and the pizza we ordered from the Italian restaurant was over cooked (almost burned, but still edible). The elevators were slow, luckily we were able to also take the stairs.

    8HelmutPosted on: 4-13-2023

Location with easy access, easy check in and friendly front office personal was great. For kids a paradise with the beach right in front. Great view from a high floor. All in all, it was a great stay and for families with 1 or 2 kids perfectly all right.

We had breakfast and dinner 3 times and while it was overall satisfactory we missed some good seafood. I remember this hotel from many years ago and the overall F&B offering was clearly better. I felt sorry with the friendly waiter and waitresses. Totally overworked, yet smiling.
