- Absolutely an amazing place. Enjoyed it to the full.. Highly recommend to all. Quite, cosy , spacious and very clean and comfortable!!
- Fabulous place, comfy bed, great location, friendly staff and tasty breakfast! We will definitely come and stay again!
- The atmosphere was lovely. Nice people great bar with yummy food.
Cons -
- Just kind of shabby. The lights flickered so much that we just turned them off. The other teeny lights didn’t provide much illumination so we were just in the dark. The television was so small we couldn’t see it very well from our bed. It just needs a thoughtful upgrade. Better lighting, larger televisions, updated bathrooms and new carpet.
- Because it was an old Inn type of building there was no elevator to transport luggage up to 2nd floor room but the owner was happy to help .
- Trying to be modern, but constrained by the age and layout of the property

Beautiful old Inn type property with beautiful gardens. The owners could not have been nicer. Breakfast was excellent. The properties restaurant was first class, menu offered amazing selections with delicious specials. The staff were delightful and the rounding very comfortable.

Great location for exploring the area . My wonderful hosts, Joan and John, couldn't have been nicer and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. And I loved the ceviche!
Attentive service in an updated old building

Below average and no value
No fan in room and no.way to open windowsVery musty
Beautiful space in an excellent location. Super friendly staff made us feel right at home and gave great recommendations. Luke was also very nice and served up a lovely dinner for us in the restaraunt.
The owner John was absolutely fantastic and so welcoming! His staff was absolutely amazing! Made it feel like home so comfortable and the other guests were all happy and fun to interact with. One of the best places to stay and will definitely return. Within 10 minutes drive to see family in listowel! Would highly recommend to others take the time to stay here. Worth every euro! So comfortable! Like staying with family and many good nights and great laughs
Nothing. Place was perfect
A charming stay. Restaurant on premises. Great food. The accomodations were lovely, as were Joan and John, our hosts. Felt at home.
Brilliant location in town, short walk to the fabulous beaches and shops and restaurants. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself has oodles of old world charm but spotlessly clean and extremely well kept. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but had a drink at the bar before heading to our room for the night. The bar was cosy with a open turf fire blazing and attentive staff.
The shower in our room had very poor water pressure.
Staff so welcoming and friendly , spacious comfortable room , close to the towns facilities and points of interest. Will definitely book again.
Only one tiny issue in that the jn house bar didn’t have much choice in beer so we had to go elsewhere for drinks which was unfortunate as the bar was so cosy and welcoming but it’s understandable at the end of the holiday season beer barrels get into low supply.
John was very welcoming at reception. The room was warm and comfortable with fantastic decor.
We had dinner in the restaurant upon arrival and truly enjoyed the staff, especially Trish. She made our stay extra special! The dinner was delicious and definitely an exceptional quality for the value.
Nice atmosphere, huge room with lovely period furniture that suited my the hotel styling. Great food at the onsite hotel.
A little bit too warm, we didn’t notice this until we had retired for the night.
Wonderful food and lovely staff ,a great vintage feel
Full irish breakfast and other options. Good. Parking on site. Live music in the ground-floor restaurant stopped before midnight.
Breakfast was nice everything warm and looked appetizing Bed very comfortable as I have a bad back and I had a good night sleep
Very nice building. Decent size rooms.Restaurant food was fantastic.
To old fashioned interior for our liking.Windows were not noise proof. They had a street race on in front of the Hotel and a lot of commotion going on. We could hear everything, even with closed windows. Couldn’t sleep.
Beautiful country house central in the village with good value for money.
