Gästehaus Fernblick

The property is well-located. The receptionist was kind and helpful. The breakfast was stylish and delicious with an attentive chef/manager who kept checking and replenishing items

The temperature in the bedroom was absolutely unbearable. Only one window could be opened and it was impossible to sleep in such temperatures. I had to rush to an electronics store to buy a fan. Furthermore I was travelling with my dog and in the morning she was displaying symptoms of heat exhaustion (hyper ventilation & collapsing). It was pretty stressful. Even in the corridors, atrium at reception, the uncomfortably high temperatures and lack of ventilation was strange for 4 star hotel. Uncomfortable for staff too I imagine.

This is an apartment building with a handy elevator if you have a room on the 4th floor. The room has a separated shower and toilet room. Bed is good, large balcony. Cooler/refrigerator. Car can be parked outside or in a parking building close to the apartment building. Short walk, 500 meters to the old city.

Hotel was closed. Although we booked the day before it was obviously closed and had been for some time.

We had booked the Fernblick but when we arrive we were told there was no availability but we would be booked into the Rosengarten Hotel instead. This was a surprise but was a pleasant one.The hotel was comfortable, very clean and had all we needed (except a kettle) in the room.This hotel is within easy walking distance from the beautiful town centre, although there were some quite steel hills.Would definitely stay again.

Other than there being no kettle (we think there should have been on as our friends room did), we had nothing to not like.We could have asked for the kettle but it really was not a big issue and we were out most of the time.

The room was clean and met our needs.

Location. It was hard to find and not convenient to the town.

The room was pretty good.

The coffee was horrible. The hallways between the two buildings were freezing and water was leaking on the floor in numerous places.

It is near the historical old town of Bad Wimpfen, but in a quiet residential area with plenty of parking. The facility has its own spa.

It is a little bit confusing because the guesthouse and the hotel nearby are actually the same, and I was supposed to check in/out and have breakfast at the hotel front desk, instead of the guest house. It is no problem since they are next to each other. But please make all these clear in the check-in instructions.

Gästehaus fernblick is a 2 star hotel. When I arrived I was told I had to register my arrival at hotel am Rosengarten, 500 metres down the road. The hotel informed me that Gästehaus fernblick was closed, however I could stay at hotel am Rosengarten for the same price (including breakfast). Hotel am Rosengarten is a high quality 4 star hotel with all the amenities. Great stay, great hotel. My recommendation...... Book a night at Gästehaus fernblick.

I was a little bit disappointed by the breakfast. The coffee was great. Bread wasn't great. Not even a bottle of water in the room.

They give us room in hotel, room was big, very cozy, silent and clean. Nice and clean bathroom. Very nice garden with terrace behind hotel. Main city SPA (pools and others) in the same building as hotel. We used underground garage (paid) but ti was plenty of free parking places nearby hotel. Hotel is a few minutes walk from old city. WiFi worked fine.

Rooms are a little older.Due corona, only lunch pakkets available for breakfast.

Due to corona, the guesthouse was still closed so all guests were upgraded to the next door hotel. The hotel is a good place to stay but a bit outdated but the rooms are well equipped. The close by city center has plenty of nice dinner options and is worth a visit.
