This family-run hotel and restaurant is situated in the southern part of the Black Forest, enjoying a sunny southwest-facing location overlooking the Rhine rift. - Owner is very welcoming and kind and the place is very cute and well equipped
- This is one of those hotels in the grand tradition of German hospitality: small, family-run, warm hospitality, professional, courteous, efficient, great value, terrific breakfast and immaculately clean. There were nice little touches that showed a little more care and individual personality: vintage books on the staircase, a handpainted Tyrolean chair in the room, funky vintage tiles in the bathroom. I appreciated the thoughtful bottle (glass, not plastic!) of water in the room. The check-in desk remained open late for me and another set of travelers that arrived even later because of traffic and roadwork problems. And he still greeted me with a smile and condolences for the "bad" German roads! (He should travel to Italy if he thinks the German roads are bad!) Thank you to the owners and staff for creating and maintaining a place like this for the weary traveler!
