The location

The size of the wc. It was really a small closet with no room to maneuver.

Nice village, friendly people running the hotel.

To be honest: the breakfast was a bit meagre, compared to what I got elsewhere

Beautiful location and very quiet. Reception staff were very good and breakfast was excellent. Safe parking at rear of hotel for my motorbike.

Well located and comfortable hotel, very friendly and helpful hosts, an outstanding breakfast buffet, and a divine shower.

I found the corridor noise, doors slamming, etc to be a little disruptive, but that’s to be expected in a historic building like this.

The best beds so far.Very big and good mattrasses. Very big room and bathroom. Lovely garden for breakfast and drinks in the evening. Very nice and caring hosts.

I loved the look of the place and its central location in this small village. The staff I spoke to the most were very friendly and good fun. Interesting to watch the pelotte right outside the hotel. Several decent small restaurants close by- once you,d worked out the widely differing opening times! Nicely laid out room. Interesting associations with literary figures who visited the hotel. Very clean. Amazing church right next door .

Being central and by a road running right through the village with lights where traffic pulled away, it was somewhat noisy for me even at odd hours in the night. Some louder lorries too perhaps due to building works? Depends what you,re used to but rather loud if you live somewhere quiet normally.

Good location, comfortable room and quiet for sleeping. Freindly and helpful staff. Plenty of restaurants near the hotel. Close to public bus service as we didn't have a car.

More steps to climb to the bedrooms than I expected. The bathroom was good with a big bath and shower. But for our age it was difficult to get in and out of the bath. A separate shower would have been better for us.

There was a warm welcome at this family run hotel where we were given helpful advice on local attractions and restaurants. Our room had been recently renovated to a high standard and was well furnished. A friendly greeting welcomed us to the breakfast room each morning where the choice on offer was more than acceptable and set us up for the day.

Absolutely amazing authentic family run village hotel.Carolina, the lady from the breakfast room is so so welcoming! Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful.All the staff were very friendly.

Only one little thing regarding the room. It has a separate shower room and toilet room which is fine, but there is no sink in the toilet room...It's not a very big deal, it would not put me off staying there again.

Very friendly atmosphere, nice place to stay a few days in a typical rural ambience and relax, nice garden beaches of St Jean de Luz just 10min away

The breakfast room and terrace are very pleasant even though we eschewed breakfast.The house has character and is comfortable.

Our personal preference would be a room without fitted carpets, but this option wasn't available.

Located in the centre of town so good for amenities great restaurant next door but the town has everything you need.The staff were very helpful and friendly thank you for a lovely stay

In the centre of a beautiful village, perfect room for us and our adult daughter (quadruple room) as it had 2 separate sleeping areas. Staff amazingly friendly. Great breakfast.

We had the loveliest time. The staff were fabulous, location perfect for taking in the town and surrounds. Breakfast super too!!

Position and very friendly and helpful staff.

Our room faced the square. Unfortunately there is a market on Saturday morning and they start setting up around 06.30 to 07.00 not much fun if you want to sleep longer.

great location, staff are so friendly. it’s our second visit and we’d definitely returneven better when there are hand ball matches on!
