- Stay Away – Worst Hotel Experience in a Ski Resort
- Location so close to lifts and ski hire. Great views of the mountains from my room and the dining room.
Cons -
- There really wasn’t anything I didn’t like
- Stay Away – Worst Hotel Experience in a Ski ResortI stayed at Les Crêtes Blanches for one night (Sunday into Monday) and it was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room was incredibly dated and in desperate need of refurbishment. The bathroom was disgusting — dirty silicone, cracked sink, and everything just felt old, worn, and uncared for. The entire hotel is far out of date and completely lacking in comfort. The location is okay, but it’s a decent walk to the slopes — and there are many far better hotels nearby. The worst part: after skiing on Monday, I came back to use a shower (I had checked with reception in the morning and was told it would be fine). When I returned, they refused and told me the only way to shower was to book another full night. I was happy to pay a cleaning fee to use a room for 15 minutes, but forcing guests to pay for another night is disgraceful. Did they expect me to drive four hours to Geneva and catch a flight back to London covered in sweat?I was incredibly upset and disappointed. This hotel has no understanding of basic hospitality. I will never return, and I strongly recommend you book elsewhere.
- Other guests a bit noisy during the night.

Location so close to lifts and ski hire. Great views of the mountains from my room and the dining room.
Other guests a bit noisy during the night.
Relaxed, friendly, great location. Good breakfast.
Slightly old-fashioned, but not a big deal.
Great breakfast Lovely staffGood tea apres ski
If there was a sauna that would have been great!
Location, breakfast. Relaxed vibe
It’s dated, and the ski / boot room is chaos
A group of 6 of us stayed for skiing in 2x triple rooms. The hotel is in one of the best locations for skiing - a short 100m walk from the hotel to the main gondolas. Ski room with good boot dryers. Breakfast was fabulous with lots and lots of choice and fresh every morning. Staff were very helpful. Rooms were very clean, beds were comfy and made each day, bins emptied/cleaned etc. Shower was strong with plenty of hot water. Others mention noise from a club close by, we didn't experience any disturbance, if you wake up in the night you can hear it, but its not loud.
The hotel rooms are getting a little dated. But they are more than adequate, clean and comfortable.
Great hotel in heart of village; close to main lifts; friendly & helpful staff; great facilities; good breakfast included.
On-site ski storage/drying room is small - but adequate.
Fabulous location; very comfortable rooms; extremely clean; serviced daily; friendly and helpful staff (they were able to make bookings for us at restaurants during busy New Year week); terrific buffet breakfast each day; and close to all amenities. A fantastic week in a great hotel.
Ski storage room (heated) was a little cramped; but perfectly functional.
Very close to pistes and other central amenities, great breakfast, comfy beds, helpful staff and rooms always kept super clean.
Quite noisy with a nightclub nextdoor that opens 11PM-5AM and price wise a bit high considering chalets in the vicinity would cost the same but with full or half board, but that's just the price you pay for going in peak season. Could do with a secure luggage room, but not a huge issue.
Fabulous location, close ro the ski slopes and right in town. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast offering.
Bedding a little basic.
Convenient location. Close to the Main Street and a short walk to the ski lifts.
Room was a bit cold
Great locationFriendly and very helpful staffVaried breakfast and something for everything and restocked regularly Value for money
we were there in low season. There is a public parking garage right on the opposite of the hotel and it was free.
All the service was a bit reduced. Also the breakfast buffet, because of the low season.
Very good and simple breakfast every morning. Enough foods: eggs, bread, ham, cheese, etc.
Met by a friendly receptionist who gave us keys, explained where to lock the bikes (ski storage room) and where to park the cars. There was lots of space in the hotel, and the rooms were a good size. We had a family room, which included a double bed and bunk beds. Lots of electrical sockets, and keeps everything charged! Oodles of hot water. The hotel is in easy walking distance to shops, bars, and restaurants. There are about 3 car parking spaces directly outside the hotel with an underground carpark opposite, though spaces are tight. This is free in the summer! Generous breakfast served. Lovely hotel for a summer stop, but clearly set up for three winter season.
Very little. It worked for us for an overnight stop. There is a lounge area in the breakfast room but no bar, so nowhere really to socialise. Val d'Isere is very quiet in the summer.
Very short walk to the ski lifts. Breakfast was very good. Room was very nice. Ideal for solo travellers
Breakfast was good and room was very comfy and clean.
The bar / nightclub over the road blasting very loud music until 3.30 in the morning accompanied by drunks shouting and singing until well after 04.00
Slightly dated but comfortable hotel, extremely friendly staff, close to the slopes. The breakfast was excellent. The apres ski pastries are a nice touch.
The locker room is a little cramped but quite adequate. the TV was smart, but French-only, so little use to non-French speakers
The location is great, 2 min distance from the cabin and lifts.
It is a bit old and needs renovation
