Everything was perfect: the staff, the breakfast, the location, the apres ski. We had a great time
Perfect location, close to ski lifts as well as many restaurants, bars etc. Very good breakfast. The hotel has a ski rental which is very convenient.Great terrace with a beautiful view of ski slopes, with djs playing on selected days.
Nothing big, really. If anything, it would be nice to have a fridge/mini bar in the room.I would also suggest adding a creamer to the coffee/tea set in the room (I also didn't find hot milk for a coffee at breakfast)..Check out at 10 is a little bit early.
1. Friendly and helpful staff and service.2. Excellent location with ski-in/out.3. Free shuttle service around town.4. Very good hot and cold breakfast buffet.5. Onsite ski shop with changing/shower facilities.
1. Could hear loud dance music from terrace and nightclub all day and all evening in bedroom even when window closed.2. Beds and pillows were too soft (and alternatives not available).3. No rubbish bin in bedroom (just one tiny one in bathroom).4. Small open clothes hanging rail and no proper cupboard.5. Very dark main room with insufficient lighting, especially near main entrance door. 6. Over-priced dinner menu was pretty standard/basic fare.
Beautiful and clean. The bedrooms were a good size and looked over the piste. Lovely hotel. Most staff extremely friendly and helpful.
The hot breakfast- on a few occasions it was cold so we decided to have cereal and pastries most of the time.We had a nightmare getting home because the mountain was shut due to the snow fall within 24hours. We asked whether there was any availability for our family to stay an extra night. We were told no, which was fine. But, what was upsetting, we booked an apartment in the middle of the village and asked at the reception would the shuttle bus be able to take us with our cases to the apartment as we had seen it go up and down the village twice, so thought it was running. The young lady at the reception hotel did try and help but was told no by her colleague. The shuttle bus is not moving, we did mention that we had seen it moving and that’s why we asked. This was very disappointing and frustrating as we were all very concerned about the situation we were in - missing our flights and wondering when we were able to purchase new ones. This made the end of our holiday very stressful and a little help from the hotel would have been appreciated at this time. Disappointing end to our holiday, as we all really enjoyed staying at this hotel.
Loved the hotel, location and food. Majority of the staff were friendly and great but some at times were slightly rude.
Decent value and friendly staff. Breakfast a bit chaotic with facilities slightly overloaded and the in-room wifi was ineffective
Good breakfast(but same every day), real ski in ski out, nice lockers, very nice modern design good location ( not perfect), nice stuff
Small room, jackozy is super small , no balconies, some issue with wifi
Location, food , staff
There was a lingering smell of sewage at certain times on the day
The bar, the restaurants, excellent. Staff were super friendly and you can step off the outdoor decking straight onto the main slope.
nothing negative to say
It was a great place. I’m happy we got to stay there. I was really great that they organized my Ski transfers and Instructor for me.
A bit bummed the hammam was out of service
The rooms The breakfast The terrace
The exit and entrance from the ski slopes (ski in/ski out needs improvement. it's not easy and not safe, especially for beginners
Hotel location is very good for access to lifts. Ski shop and rental is very good. Room is not big but conveniently designed.
There is no fridge in the rooms and there is no room service. The guests can be loud in the halls. Service during breakfast can be more attentive.
All the staff are very helpful and nice, esp the ones who work in the ski boutique. They are very accommodating and gave us valuable advice! Prices at the ski boutique r very reasonable too! Emily who works at the reception is very helpful too! She helped us to get an airport transfer at the very last minute that really saved us a lot of money. Cuz our original transfer was an hour late! Their breakfast is great too! Good variety and delicious! I’ll definitely come back.
Water in the hot tub is not warm enough! Sound proof of the rooms need improvement. But the parties usually end b4 11pm. So, it’s not a big problem!
The hotel is modern, clean and stylish. The staff are professional and the breakfasts just what you need before a day on the slopes.
We knew the hotel held apres ski parties between 2pm and 7pm a couple of times a week. Sadly, Val Thorens now seems to attract very loutish individuals, not staying at the hotel, but hanging around outside to listen to the music. They were rude, noisy and urinating up the walls of adjacent apartments in daylight and full view from our room. It spoilt our holiday.
Reception staff were amazing, location was fantastic as was the food.
Our room was disappointing as there was no light by the door where the kettle and cupboards were, it was very dark and we could not see the kettle without using our phone torches.Getting served in the bar was also difficult, at times we were told we could not be served at the bar and needed to wait for a server, the servers were outside on the terrace but we were not able to get the drinks we wanted at the boot locker room bar so we were unable to get a drink. We gave up and went out, you really should be able to get a drink if you are a resident.Breakfast had lots of amazing options but every day we had to wait for food to be topped up, bacon, eggs,, bread for toast, plates etc, then when they replenish it was only a small amount, i.e. 8 slices of bread for toast which went almost immediately
Very nice personel, restaurant, internal design and great location!
Wellness area was a bit small
Not good breakfast. Poor service. Food wasn’t high quality.
