Sussex Palms Holiday Park

Very friendly and courteous welcome. Quiet and comfortable. Beautiful colourful cabins on site. Loved our wee cabin which was well appointed, well equipped, close to the camp ground swimming pool and only a short drive to local amenities. Perfect option for budget conscious travelers.

It's a 3hr drive for us.

Not much, other than it was close to where my daughter was staying.

The bed was a small double, husban and I couldn't fit, his legs hung off the end of the bed. We booked two nights but left on the 2nd day as we couldn't bare another night.The bunks had no curtains so you couldn't see rigjt through the van at the toilet and bathroom.

Very lovely stay. The accommodation was very cute. We came by car so and was able to park it right beside. Finding it was nice and ease - just follow the arrows and there was our number. On check in, we arrived out of office hours, but was so easy to arrange on the phone. On check out, I did see Rene (I think was her name) and she was so nice and friendly. Recommend.

The only thing was that I did not choose to stay longer to explore the site and surroundings. There was a BBQ opposite and apparently there are kangaroos nearby but we had to head off.

We could have our dog with us. Location was good. It was clean and relaxed. Pool was good.

Got caught out by only one super market & it was very expensive

First time staying in a holiday park. We stayed in cabin number 2 with the verandah with our 2 dogs. The staff were extremely helpful from the time of booking. They answered all my queries quickly and efficiently. The Holiday park is tucked away in a quiet dead end street. The cabin is cozy and comfortable and is well equipped with the essentials. Kitchen has two stove top, an electric skillet, kettle, a microwave. The fridge was a good size (as we did some fishing and were able to put the fish in the freezer). Lots of storage in the cabin, Pelican Shores cafe is a short stroll away. I noted it’s such a doggy friendly area! We loved it, thank you Sussex Palm for a wonderful weekend.

The bed is very hard and gave us both a sore back. Pillows are too high.

The owner was really lovely and allowed earlier check in as the weather with storms was bad. We really appreciated this. Easy to find. Had kitchen items to cook which was great!

The split system was mouldy due to moisture over time so we didn’t use it. Black mould in a split system is a health hazard especially for elderly, people with disabilities and kids so we opted not to use it. Otherwise the accommodation had everything we needed :)

This beautiful spacious chalet was perfect for us. Despite the weather we were able to cosy up before we headed to the small town which was only a 3min drive away for some dinner. We even saw kangaroos outside our holiday park. The holiday park was small and quiet which we like and had everything we needed and right by the water and close to walking tracks around the area.

Close to walking area and park, pet friendly and there were other pets our little dog could meet. Clean and tidy room/cabin. Great in cabin facilities and comfortable. Park's new management team friendly and so are the regular long term occupants. Although we did not take advantage of them the pool and barbecue area looked clean and well maintained. Would recommend to anyone with a small dog. for a vacation or just a weekend away.

There were a couple of minor maintenance things for the management team to attend to we noticed: like securing the ends of the pelmets above the sliding doors and our van (7) could do with curtains on the bunk windows for a little more privacy but these are small things that the new management team can fix in time. Could do with three more dessert spoons in the cutlery draw.

2 rooms and kitchen the electricity power not working, cooking in morning not enough gas .one room beds not cleaning with sand under the cover, not enough hot water shower for 4 peoples

Ok for our one night stay while travelling south

No coffee machine, no sharp knives. Surely there could be decent bread and vegetable knives?

easy check in - clean and easy to find - good location

the towels did smell like dog - although partly expected as pets are allowed at the park

had a good little kitchen, enough to cook dinners. enough space for a couple, but anymore people i wouldn’t recommend a cabin. good outside area / bbq. friendly staff, will ensure you have all the necessities throughout your stay

nothing bad about property, but be aware all stores & restaurants and most beaches are 25-30 minute drive away
