AX The Victoria Hotel

The hotel is well-located, rooms are a good size and clean, staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were very good. The roof terrace is very nice and has a breeze which is necessary on a hot day!

The mattresses are a bit soft, but not a deal breaker.

Comfortable with good price and without my asking they upgraded me to room with balcony and distant coastal view

Hotel itself is a bit of a walk to commercial areas but not a big deal. In fact some would appreciate that because many be quieter

Nice hotel, good variety of food at breakfast, pleasant staff, free water refill every day. Great location, close to different bus stations, close to the ferry and the main promenade.

Cleanliness left a lot to be desired, the mattresses weren't very comfortable, some furniture are quite outdated. A lot of noise from the clubs or event venues downstairs, it was impossible to sleep one of the nights. Also, you can easily hear noises from the neighboring rooms and from the hallway.

A great place to stay and enjoyed our stay!! The room was a good size, nice shower and a bath tub, which my wife loved for a good soak at the end of the day. There was also a small balcony with the room. The staff was excellent and very attentive to all our questions and requests. Breakfast was excellent, was pretty much the same every morning but with lots of options, fruits, eggs, cereals,breads, pancakes, etc. The breakfast personnel were also great here also. The location is nice, center of the city, but at the top of a hill. Be prepared to hike up hill, not horrible but if you have mobility problems could be an issue. Plenty of restaurants available along the waterfront and throughout the neighborhood. Heated in and outdoor pools were nice to enjoy.

Our room looked out into the next door apartments windows, so some privacy issues.The babies swimming in the pools, no special diapers or protection from them relieving themselves in the pool.

We liked everything really - as light sleepers we really appreciated a quiet room and good shades blocking the sun. It was very clean and the staff was super helpful. Good gym, 2 swimming pools (only the indoor one can realistically be used in winter, but it was expected).

Just a suggestion, the places for 3 people in the dining room were limited and all quite inconvenient (right in front of the entrance or otherwise right in the way of people with trays), would really appreciate more seating places for 3 people further away in the room.

Everything perfect and liked that can also ax palace the reception staff great acceptable by top pool area lifts takes to ax palace I prefer breakfast there as it had salmon and champagne ???chose ax victoria due to price difference but everything is same facilities the Xmas decorations amazing

Amazing place – rooftop, swimming pool, dinner and breakfast were all perfect.A special thanks to Leonis, the waitress from the Palace restaurant, who kindly organized a birthday cake for me. It really made my stay unforgettable. Regards, Nick

Great hotel with fantastic facilities and the staff were everything you could ask for. Our room was always cleaned if we left at any point in the day and the distance to restaraunts, ferries, bars etc was ideal

Only thing I'd say was we were promised a double bed but it seemed to be 2 single beds pushed together. No big deal though as it was still very comfy.

Excellent friendly staff. Good breakfast. Everything you could want. Reasonable bar prices.

Could do with instructions in the room for the operation of the air conditioning.

Quiet location in Sliema, 10min walk from the beachfront. We were upgraded to a superior room which was spacious. Bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, the little balcony had view on the sea. The roof top pool area is very pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good.

The staff were exceptional, very helpful and friendly, the receptionist, bar staff, cleaning staff, breakfast staff and the gentleman who worked in the gift shop.

Good location, nice pool/sauna etc. Expansive breakfast with catering to a range of diets.

Room not set up as requested (no cot, took asking 4 different members of staff 6 total times and 3 hours to resolve). Fridge was broken and leaked all over the floor, safe didn’t work, bath tub didn’t fill up. All were resolved eventually but it shouldn’t take this much asking, chasing and nagging! Dinner was pretentious and not of great quality. Same milk free or sugar free dessert every single night.

I have everything and my daugther’s needs. Free room upgrade, spacious room with comfortable big bed with balcony, swimming pool, good breakfast, smiling, friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and great location as there are lots of restaurants within and good choice of restaurants nearby, very close to harbour, buses and ferries making it easy to explore sliema and nearby attraction shopping and playground.The hotel is handicapped friendly.As a single mom traveling with hidden abilities (autism) is challenging but the staff was very helpful and understanding and always helpful with a smile.

Huge hotel and the receptionist on our arrival was not welcoming.

Everything was great, including spacious rooms, good breakfast, cozy and wonderful SPA and gym. This is why we return to this hotel each time we visit Sliema.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is well appointed and our room was large and comfortable.

Some confusion over housekeeping one day which led to our room not being serviced. However reception staff were very helpful and quick to rectify
