The location was good for me. Breakfast was also nice and the size of the room.

The room had no elevator access and the shower was a little run down. The room was not all too clean, very dusty everywhere.

Nice place, very clean, great breakfast and really cheap, close to Mechelen.

Friendly staff, cozy hotel and quite location. The wellness is also a great deal and a complete rich breakfast for all tastes!

Calm location but out skirts of main city

No kettle with coffee maker, no water bottles only one, no iron with stand, no room sleepers

Very nice, cozy place. Clean, comfortable. Based in an old building (ex prison), enchant vibe. The cheep public car parking. Nearby 6€ per day or 0,6cents per hour. Breakfast included. A bit far from city center, but it really does nt matter if u have a car

Friendly helpful staff. Easy access to public transport, bus & train. Quiet location. Nice breakfast, still plenty of choice toward to end of breakfast time. Beautiful huge room.(301) Good blackout blind. Always piping hot water, shower had good pressure, not walk in, over a bath. The room had lots of large exposed wooden beams, which were very characterful & they had managed to keep the whole room spotlessly clean. Interesting information placed around the downstairs communal areas about its use as a prison. Much of the original architecture seemed to have been kept in the breakfast area. Plenty of seating, where later in the day people chose to stay. Good selection of Belgium beers at the bar. Coffee machines made excellent coffee.

Room was on level 2a.(roof space) The lift did not go up that far. Coming down the last step was deeper, uncomfortable jolt until I remembered it. A bit of reflective tape there would be useful. The sofa bed was not wonderful. The Air conditioning seemed to turn itself off after a few hours. Wi-Fi reception in that top corner of the hotel was not always reliable. But don’t let any of that put you off, it was a lovely stay in a great hotel.

Perfect location just a few steps away from the busy Brussels suburbs. Very comfortable rooms in industrial style. Very nice and clean as well.Friendly staff, nice bar and great breakfast!

Keep in mind not all rooms are elevator accessible, The 3rd floor you'll need to reach the staircase for.

The breakfast was top notch. Really impressive choices. Of anything the breakfast made up for everything else. The staff was very helpful and friendly tooThe reception and breakfast area is very nice amd cool and the place has an interesting history making it unique.

We booked 4 rooms. None of the aircons worked. We were"upgraded" to rooms that is in the ceiling or should I say to the sauna. Free sauna throuhgout the night without aircon. Then having all the pipework through the room where you can bump your head and spoiling the room aestetics. Not quite a luxury room look.The so-called wellness centre is €40/hr. For very small 2/3 person sauna. I specifically searched for hotels with spas and this is what I get!No in-room coffee, no free coffee either.

American family of 3 staying 1 night as a stop off hotel, driving from England to Germany. Pleasantly surprised. Booked 2 days in advance. Large, flat car park on the grounds with convenient, secure, inexpensive parking. CLEAN and well maintained hotel and room. Large attic level family room with pull out couch. Walked about 5 mins to a Pizza Hut take out opposite the church. Plenty more shops and restaurants in this area too. TV with loads of English speaking channels - hard to find in Europe. Comfy bed and strong, hot shower. Breakfast was FANTASTIC!! Much improved over previous reviews with many choices hot and cold and a great coffee machine. Interesting history with it being an old prison building. 100 % would stay again next time we drive over. Cannot speak to Vilvoorde, other than a nice looking town, easy to get to off of the ring road and convenient for our road trip. Affordable room. Thank you - staff was great!

Honestly, nothing for our short one nighter but just a note that the lift only goes to floor level 2. If staying in family rooms on the 3rd level, you will need to walk up 1 flight of stairs.

Very good breakfast buffet. Spacious room. Very quiet spot. Parking directly at the hotel is not included but cheap. Friendly staff. Very good renovated building with an interesting history.
