Pros +
- The location is a bit off the beaten path, but it's very quiet and the grounds and lovely. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The management had a great recommendation for a nearby beach for our relaxation day. The restaurant is good and they were great about accommodating my vegan/fish diet.
- Borgo delle Pietre is a hidden gem. It is located in the countryside above Porto Empedocle. However, we had no problems in reaching it. Ancient inn for travelers where they could make a stop during their journey. Nowdays it continues the tradition but in a much more fancy way. The owners, Marta and Domenico, gave a second life to the place, rebuilt it from ruins and made this place full of beauty. They welcome the guests by themselves and are very nice people to communicate with. All the team is smiling and so hospitable. The Borgo is a very beautiful and peaceful place. Swimming pool for sunny days and olive grove for some reading. The rooms are made in a rustic style, very elegant, clean and comfortable. Our room had a stunning view of the fields. Inside the room we had a teapot, mini bar and fridge. Wi fi is fast. The bed is super comfy, as well as pillows. And the bed linen is so soft. We slept like angels.Breakfast is great. We were so happy to get eggs, cheeses, avocado and homemade banana bread. After spending sometime in Sicily, we missed a hearty breakfast. Pls also do not miss the opportunity to have a dinner there. Honestly speaking, it was our best meal during our Sicilian trip. Very refined and yet simple. We will definitely come back. Not only because the place is so beautiful and peaceful, but because the hosts treat it with lots of love and care to their guests.
- The property was gorgeous, unpretentious, beautifully appointed and supremely comfortable. The hosts were welcoming and caring, as was everyone on staff. The food was wonderful— many choices for breakfast — and we ate in the restaurant two of our three night say.Highly recommend. It was a highlight of a wonderful trip.
Cons -
- Our original room was on two levels which was not great for us. In fairness to the hotel, I booked that room as I think it was their last available space. They graciously moved us to a more suitable room for the rest of our stay.
- One night was not enough:)))
- I can’t think of anything!

I liked the beautiful relaxing setting of the property. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff were very nice. The delicious breakfast with lots of choices. The dinner was outstanding. We just stayed for one night. Wish we stayed longer!
I can’t think of anything!
It is beautiful, food amazing well priced Unique experience
Way way overpriced, were not oriented to the hotel or the area. Very disappointed. But way way too expensive. Aporox a 100 euro. No extras in the room. Basic shampoo, no creams nothing. And to charge for eggs. Really. Everywhere in sicily. High end to very inexpensive offer eggs really !!!! To charge
It was such a beautifully refurbished historical farmhouse! The accommodations are very comfortable and clean, the food is delicious, and the owner and staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. The location is perfect for visiting Agrigento !
Beautiful setting in the countryside. So peaceful. We had our private patio filled with lavender. The room and bathroom were lovely and so stylish. The staff was always smiling. Just 8 rooms.
Nothing !
The decor, architecture, facilities and services were excellent!
It was a bit of a challenge finding it. But if you keep going on the same road past the point where maps show, you’ll find it.
Our Best stay ever! What an Incredible property they have built here and fantastic food each night and beautiful breakfasts! The hammocks to lounge in under the Olive trees as well as the nice little gym and beautiful panoramic colours at night were beautiful! The pool was great and it was a short drive to an incredible beach and swimming in the Mediterranean Sea! Close to everything we wanted to go see such as the Valley of the Temples etc but we were always eager to get back to this jewel to kick back and relax! More like a Spas than an Air B&B
There was nothing we didn’t like about this Property! The drive up is a bit steep but worth the drive up and privacy, the road up was well marked and the hosts did everything perfectly as well as the staff!
Very cozy, stylish place. The rooms were neat, but everything could be less inspired. great service. Be sure to have dinner at their restaurant, it's amazing. The staff is very polite. The kids really liked the pool. I definitely recommend it.
My wife and I are already dreaming of a return trip. It's a truly special boutique hotel just outside the city. Everyone at Borgo delle Pietre couldn't be friendlier and more hospitable too. The grounds tranquil, the pool was perfect on a hot day, and our room was spacious, comfortable and cozy. Our delicious dinner on the patio under the stars was an added bonus. Domenico, Mara and team make you feel like a valued guest.
Everything was quite honestly excellent. The property had a sophisticated feel whilst being steeped in Sicilian history and charm. The breakfast was high quality local produce and the dinner menus provided some of the best Italian food we have had. Lots of wonderful beaches near by and plenty of local history with the Valley of the Temples and much more. One of our favorite trips to date as a family. The couple running the villa were lovely and very accommodating with our young children.
Excellent breakfast. Our first room was as reserved, but very difficult to get to, and small. Host moved us to a better room, easier to walk to. Very quiet. Beautiful pool area (but no heated pool-it was cold). When the restaurant had an unscheduled closing, they called a car to drive us to a restaurant offsite, and return us home, at n/c. :)
It's an interesting drive, 2.2 km from the main road over a poorly maintained road, but we did get there. There was some kind of problem with the chef and out dinner was not good at all. Apparently a family emergency.
Quite, clean, inviting. The staff went out of their way to welcome us even when we arrived late. They held the kitchen open until we arrived.
The property was setup perfectly for us. Didn't want to leave. Of the 5 places we stayed this was our favorite.
The countryside setting was an ideal location to relax, it was very peaceful but only about 15 minutes from Agrigento. The dinners and breakfast were excellent, and the owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We felt very much at home.
This place exceeded our expectations. We stayed 3 nights and it was the perfect place to stay mid trip. It allowed us the space to breathe and decompress from driving all over the island. We did some quick day trips from here, and we had 2 days of enjoyment the area too. We ate dinners each night, honestly the best food of our trip, we felt no reason to go into town and roll the dice when we knew the food was so good. The traditional fish soup was the most delicious meal I had on our trip. The staff was so welcoming and friendly, we had an amazing time and would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Sicily.
A beautifully appointed stone farm house near Agrigento and Scala dei turchi. Its run by a wonderful husband and wife team. A rustic exterior with modern washrooms and amenities. Wonderful experience.
Beautiful spot for a quiet stay, 30 mins from Vallei dei Templi. Coastal beaches 20 mins. Fantastic food and friendly staff.
We had a truly wonderful night here and couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our honeymoon. The host was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, offering both charm and comfort. Dinner and breakfast were delightful, but the real highlights were the fresh bread and exquisite wine—absolutely delicious! ?
The property is stunning - a beautiful stone building high on a hill surrounded by olive groves with views to the sea. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. But most of all, the owners and staff are fantastic - Domenico’s playlist for the restaurant maybe the best ever and the food no less excellent - fresh, creative, and delicious.
