Pros +

  • The room furniture looks tired. Musty smell. Wifi is good. Breakfast is sad.
  • The large rooms, the location and the food they serve at the hotel's restaurant . Mr Mario at the reception who could speak and understand english and who was very helpful and responsive when I asked for an upgrade to one of our rooms. Mr Nelo too, at the restaurant, who was the only friendly person from all the hotel's staff and the only one who speaks english and we could communicate. The restaurant serves quality, tasty food. The garden was nice as well.

Cons -

  • The furniture was dated and needed a big renovation. The beds were large but the mattresses were very uncomfortable the same goes for the pillows. Fortunately they had a big sofa bed in the room that I use to rest for a better sleep due to my spine problem.. What was very frustrating was the fact that they had no room in all the hotel to sit after 9:30 p.m with our friends to chat, play cards and have a night drink. There was only one area connected to the restaurant and the main entrance with 5 sofas all line up in a row and two small coffee tables and on that we all were sitting around. We were playing our card game and by 9:30 without even considering our presence there they were closing down the lights and leaving without even saying sorry or goodnight. Forcing tourist customers to go in their rooms from 9:30 having nothing else to do was really disappointing and frustrating. This was not a 4* hotel at all and I don't understand how they rated this hotel as very good.
