- Breakfast buffet was until 10.30, one morning arrived at 9 not alot left, did mention this, was told that was it.
- room excellent reasonable cost staff manager excellent and helpful
- Rooms were clean and good size. Very comfortable bed. Slept great. Great pools and outside area. You can walk into the town altho not a lot to do there. We were 3 families who traveled from Ireland and like our tea and toast in the morning. The staff were very helpful in organizing this for us . Overall staff and hotel were great . Would definitely recommend .
Cons -
- Coming in the beginning of September, feel the hotel was concerned more about events, weddings ect. May have been more atmosphere in high season for hotel guest. Over all we where happy.
- pools and surrounding outside not kept very clean due to probably used mainly as function use shame as with tlc could be improved a lot but room was perfect as a cheap base to explore the area
- Would have liked a kettle in the room. Minor issue.Food menu could be improved.

Great spot just a short train ride from Napoli Central Station. Close to the Portici station which is only 10mins walk a
Nice pool area with two different pools and relaxing atmosphere. Close to the Highway and therefore easy to access Naples with car. Great room.
The breakfast (though cheap) was quite poor.
The location was a bit further from the center of Napoli, but with the public transport good to reach. Unfortuantely, sometimes there was no public transport, but that is how it works in Italy, I suppose. The last day we ordered a taxi via the hotel to go back to the airport. The first day we arrived via public transport. Both are fine, of course taxi is more expensive and more comfortabel. The breakfast was good. With my dairy and gluten intolerance, I was still able to have a good breakfast with corn cereals and plant based milk and fruits. We confirmed this with the hotel beforehand and again on the day of arrival. The personnel and chief was friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is very relaxing, sufficient places to rest and swim. The hotel is in a very peaceful area.
We staid for a week in May. In the weekends and evenings there were several parties for communion feasts and anniversaries. Therefore we were not able to use the swimming pool at specific moments. It would have been better to communicate this with us before, then for us to be sent away. However, there was not too much noise from the parties. The only disadvantage are the bells of the church that make loud noices in the morning.
From the minute that we arrived, we were welcomed by staff who readily retrieved our luggage and parked our car in an adjacent lot.Our room was large, very quiet and quite comfortable and the bathroom was verry spacious and lovely with its beautiful tilework and marble sink.Breakfast was served by Allesandro and more than met our expectations. We plan to return when next we travel to Portici.
The night of the reservation I received a message from the hotel, that they have a problem with our room and they reserved a room for us in another terrible hotel. It was everything broken in the room, it smells like toilet, the breakfast was awful. This pleasure was only 105 euro....
V. Difficult to rate this as if you take into consideration the location, you deserve what you get. Naples is near impossible to navigate so it took me 3 hrs to find the hotel (which turned out to be a 20min train trip! .. way back is much easier to navigate than way to… ) not the hotels fault! Google maps! The staff speak basic/zero English (again, not the hotels fault, it’s their home) … so apart from that, the hotel was beautiful! Poolside beers in scorching 30” heat! What’s not to love! Staff were as helpful as they could be ! I was there off-peak season so it a lot of people around… if your in Naples and better than me at navigating back streets I’d recommend it cause the place was beautiful
Staff don’t speak English (not a complaint just a fact)Local area difficult to navigate (not the hotels fault)
Excellent hotel. The owner and were super friendly. I was bowled over by the fact that they offered to pick us up from the train station that’s 10 minutes away, at no extra cost. And this happened 3 times when we were exhausted after sightseeing and came to thr via liberta train station at 10 pm. Rooms are also very spacious and comfortably accommodated 4 of us.
Portici is a small place. So if you want to have dinner outside, choices are limited. Also breakfast options are limited in the hotel.
We booked this hotel as we were travelling by car & wanted to visit Naples but didn’t want to drive into the centre. Easy to find, very convenient for a stop over, just off the motorway. Good public transport links to Naples, 10 minute walk to Bellavista train station & 20 minutes into Napoli Centrale train station. Very helpful, pleasant staff. Good parking. Great continental style breakfast. Large, clean, quiet & comfortable room. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Beautiful hotel, pretty gardens and large room. Great base for exploring Naples.
Nice pool, room spacious and clean
Overcharging, although booking included breakfast was told this was only for coffee & an additional charge was required for breakfast. Charged €10 for use of towel at the pool. Drinks at the Bar very expensive, staff not friendly & felt we were an inconvenience.
I had an emergency situation and found myself looking for a hotel at midnight. I was welcomed at Villa Colombia with a level of professionalism, discretion and politeness that is today hard to find. I ended up staying two days, the service was always great, the room was very comfortable and beautiful, the building is gorgeous and surrounded by trees and with two swimming pools to start or end the day with a quick plunge and some sun bathing.
That I didn’t come earlier. ;)
The property has three pools and lots of sun beds! Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean with beautiful decor. The rooms are big, with a comfortable bed and a gorgeous bathroom. The shower always has hot water and is dreamy! The hotel is well located with transport links that we’ll get you to most attractions/locations in the region. It was easy to get to Vesuvius, Pompeii, Herculaneum, the water park and Sorrento. The breakfast was plentiful. We are sad to be leaving and would love to come again!
Nothing to fault about this hotel. Everything was perfect
The hotel had everything you needed. The staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. Having a restaurant in the hotel was an advantage and the food was delicious.
The room requires a little better maintenance particularly the air conditioning and drainage of the sink and shower but overall it was good.
The place was nice but it felt like a robbery that opening a wine bottle at the pool bar did cost 20€ as a service fee!! Breakfast was also very limited.
Facilities ok I guess. Good sized room
Not disabled friendly at all. None of the polls accessible. Staff unavailable to provide service at the bar or restaurant. Despite claiming English was a language they understand, it wasn’t and they weren’t willing to use Google translate
We stay here every year when we visit my in-laws. We chose this hotel for its pool and proximity to their home. Unfortunately, the weather was rainy this time and we could only enjoy the sight of the pool. The staff is always cordial and the grounds are very pretty with the two pools and lovely landscaping. It is not far from the circumvesuviana train and near the shopping area as well. It is also easy for our in-laws to pick us up here. The staff is always on hand for anything you might need. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are spacious and there is plenty of room for our things. The bathroom is large and has a spray bidet as well as a bidet bowl. There are plenty of towels and everything is perfectly clean. They clean the rooms daily and change the towels when needed. There is also air-conditioning and a minifridge as well as plenty of outlets for my needs. Wifi works well and is fast enough. I forgot my pearl earrings on the nightstand after checking out and the cleaning lady ran out to find me in order to make sure I had them. I really appreciated that since they had been a gift.It is all very pleasant and we look forward to staying there again next year. We would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the area as it is easy to take the train to Naples, Pompei, or even Sorrento. We were there from a Monday-Friday and there were no events that we noticed. Everything was perfectly quiet with the exception of the church bells.
The only things to critique are very minor but it would be good if they were fixed. Room #1 did not have shutters, blinds nor blackout curtains, so the light came right in. The opaque curtains did not close all the way, so I used a pants hanger to keep them closed, since we were on the ground floor and staff members sometimes walked by. They should at least get blackout curtains that can shut all the way in order to block the sun. We never mentioned it because it was very cloudy and rainy during our visit and we slept right through from the sheer exhaustion of our trip. One shower door was missing the plastic to block the water from escaping, so the water would puddle easily outside the shower. The hair dryer is one of these white ones attached to the wall. I always bring my own but I would want to know this in advance. We paid less the previous year and breakfast had been included then. This year it was extra. It's minor but as returning guests, we would appreciate including it. Aside from these minor things, our stay was lovely and we look forward to having better weather next year so we can enjoy the beautiful pools.
