Hotel Ristorante Alcide

The food in the hotel's restaurant is fantastic, both in selection of the menu and in presentation. Also, good breakfast. The staff is friendly but does not follow up on promises.

The service in the restaurant was bad. The bed cover was soiled and they would not replace it, despite promising twice. The walls are paper thin, people smoke in the rooms despite no smoking policy, and the windows are too thin to keep street noise out.

Ok for a couple of nights. 15 min walk to the train station. Nice staff. They charge for parking, but there's plenty of free parking on the streets around the hotel.

No boiler, no coffee/tea in the room. Outdated facilities. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Paid parking in an area where you can park for free, right next to the hotel.

It was clean and the hotel is in a good location

The staff were all very friendly, especially Benjamin at the reception. He welcomed us warmly and offered us a fabulous welcome drink. Benjamin is truly a kind and wonderful person, making our arrival even more memorable.

Good breakfast, and if you want to be close to the center of Poggibonsi it's a good location. Also good if you love the 1970s.

Hotel and room in desperate need of renovation. Photos on site don't match the reality, it looks like the 1970s. You hear all the doors slam throughout the hotel, and the guests one floor above walking around. Airconditioning was non functioning while the room was very hot (26+ degrees).

Very clean and comfortable, steps away from Siena Eye Laser Surgery. Excellent restaurant.

Very nice family owned hotel. The key thing for me was to get a quiet room. They certainly delivered on that. The staff were great and could not have been more helpful. The restaurant was good and the prices were very reasonable. I’d definitely recommend it.

Room heating not eady to manage

The staff was excellent. They went above and beyond to help me and my group. Incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. It's always difficult dealing with a group of 20+ people but they never once made it seem like they were bothered by us even when our situation was definitely a bit annoying. We will definitely return.

The show was exciting. So many hotels are equipping the shower with a half shower door. This is very awkward especially when the hand held shower head comes loose from the holder and showers the entire bathroom.

Room for 3 was a little bit smaller than what should be. There were no charging outlet beside beds and the hair dryer was not powerful.

Decent sized room. Decent breakfast. Good location. Easy to go to San Gimignano - reason for our stay at this property. Ample parking all around the area.

The bathrooms are quite small and outdated. The knob for switching Handheld to overhead shower is in a not so obvious place and needs a lot of investigation- a. Either the front desk should have a FAQ ready to answer this or instructions be clearly stated on the wall. This was certainly a frustrating experience to have them help me identify which I found out myself anyway. The bathroom n my room was certainly unergonomic as well. Wouldn't like it for more than the 1 night we stayed here. The front desk, atleast when I checked in, was clearly disinterested. Not so courteous. House keeping staff was the same too but that could be due to lack of training or education. Certainly not expected of front staff. Biggest gaff - no toilet papers at all. They did come up and give them but no apologies for missing basic stuff. All in all - needs improvement on multiple fronts.

Good position for whoever goes there for the clinic, very close by, also a super lovely staff

Among the amenities many things were lacking of like: a pair of slippers, toothbrush and mini toothpaste, mini hairbrush, all of the mentioned things are things that I usually normally find in 3* hotels (this was 4*)
