Avalon Hotel

It is an old family hotel. Cosy and warm in atmosphere. Very friendly couple. They arranged for us a room whilst I booked very late. Thanks to them. We could get a breakfast, wasn't possible by the site at that moment, and also this was possible at the late moment we came. The public area (entry, reception terras and dining-room) was very niceOur car was protected by a camera, in fact nothing negative to say.The owner was busy with renovations, but no harm for us. We could get everywhere without danger. :-)

the staff was very friendly and helpfull. althought the hotel is a bit outdated it had all the basic amenities a hotel needs and the friendliness of staff made up for it. the room and beds were cozy, with a big bathroom with bathtub. recomended for someone who values personal approach over modern design rooms and who would like to experience belgian friendliness and hospitality.

Owner was welcoming and friendly, interior was tastefully decorated, quiet area, easily identifiable, ample parking, free WiFi throughout, cool snake.

Very old place that needs renovation. The bathroom window fell off when I tried to open it.I think the bed was 120cm wide with a 160cm matress on top.

They are renovating or closing the hotel ( not sure as not very clearly communicated), overall very bad environment, dirty everywhere, not worth the money.

Room is simple and clean as expected for a small stay as I did. Owner very hospitable and helpful.

Extremely comfortable clean bed. Slept very well. Exellent value for money. Everything I needed was provided.

No negative for me. Tired decor that other reviews mention did not matter to me as I did not sit there looking at the walls.

The staff is very nice, friendly and polite. In fact, during my visit, there was one guy only who worked 24/7 and a girl who assist him sometime in the restaurant.

The facility has not been renovated for many years: radiators are rusty, ingrained dirt on a toilet, tons of wires on the floor of the room: from an outlet through the wall to a hall. There is no soap in the bathroom and there is a broken soap dispenser in the cabinet under the sink. The hanger is torn out of the wall and inserted back, if you touch it, it fall out. Breakfasts are simple: not good not bad.

Wonderful place, in a nice village. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. The owners are very friendly and helpful. As a single girl traveling with my dogs I felt comfortable and enjoyed the stay. I would recommend this hotel !!

Very nice personnel. The bed was good. It was clean. I needed a very last minute place to stay and they were still open fortunately..

Noise from the road. I could change rooms and that helped a bit. The bathroom really needs a renovation, everything worked but some tiles were broken, I think because of an renovation. It seems like they are working on the hotel. The man who was working there was very helpful with the luggage and changing rooms etc. That compensated a lot.

Really quite location and very friendly staff, nice and clean and breakfast was lovley, also plenty of car parking.

Very poor

The hotel seats next to a buzzy road, and the sonic isolation is not up to it.The shower, as pictured, was broken, and there was a used condom below the desk... Very charming, and never again!

The hotel and staff were great friendly made you feel welcome very much down to earth. Just a great place you feel comfortable and welcoming. I have stayed in lots of hotels. But this is like home from home. Will be back defo
