    Pros +

    • Wonderful stay. The kids got their own bunk beds and robes. The breakfast was perfect the pool was terrific. The staff was outstanding. One of the best values and places we stayed in Europe.
    • Cozy HotelSuper friendly StaffYonaguni Spa - rly idyllicTop quality Restaurant The little City Obernai is magical
    • The Yonaguni Spa /pools was Fantastic. The in-house pool/ spa also looked good but we did not use it. Would return to the hotel again only because it was so close to/ part of this great spa facility. Breakfast was Great.

    Cons -

    • The entry fee for the Yonaguni-Spa is per Room (60€). Means, if you are travelling alone you still have to pay the 60€. In my opinion thats not fair and not customer-friendly. Its super nice if you are f.e. a couple and you only have to pay 30€ each. But no prive adjustments if you are alone - c‘mooon, serious?
    • The bathroom was very small and the room felt a little tired and in need of an update. Common area carpets needed a good clean. Access within hotel for those with disabilities would not be easy with many levels and steps. If in a wheelchair I imagine almost impossible.
    • Hotel room is sadly very small, the toilet is old and dirty. If i will booked this hotel again its because of the Yonaguni Spa. The Restaurant on the Monday evening was fully booked mostly the Restaurant nearby were closed on Monday was unfortunate that the hotel cant accommodate their guests even for takeout or sit somewhere else inside the hotel. There wasnt a lot of effort to accommodate their guests on this part in my opinion.

The location is great, free parking on the premises doesn’t need reservations.Breakfast is good with lots of option to choose from. Check in/out was fast and simple.5 Star for the Bartender and the lounge! We really enjoyed our drinks and ambianceIm giving 5 Star to Yonaguni spa is such an amazing place to unwind, relax and recharge. The architecture is superb one of the best we had experience in Europe i love the modernity combined with nature! The Aquatic Maze/Labyrinth, water jets, variety of themed shower, spa/saunas and many more ways they think of how to truly relax and unwind. A truly unique sensory experience. We got to enjoy full day as a hotel guests with extra charge.

Nice location, walkable to town, great facilities and food, beautiful spa.

Staff was not skilled and seemed almost surprised and put out when asked to make reservations for us. In a hotel of this caliber, one would expect this service without an attitude. On one occasion, after explaining that I was struggling to reserve a wine tasting, I asked them to assist. This front desk person was so rude to me that I actually walked out. On a separate occasion I called the front desk and asked them to make a reservation at a restaurant because I don’t speak French. They said no problem and that the reservation was set. We went to the restaurant that evening to find it closed for vacation! We then couldn’t find a restaurant with an available opening for 2.5 hours! Our last terrible experience was at the fine dining restaurant. We had a tasting menu and sadly, in the middle of our dinner, my husband fell ill and had to leave. I finished my duck course and sat there for an incredibly long time (my husband’s plate untouched). Nobody ever checked on me, ever. Finally a busboy came to clear. I told him my husband was sick, I needed to go and get the bill.He said I need to talk to my waiter. My waiter who took care of us all night never returned, never showed any concern whatsoever, never offered to have my remaining 2 courses brought to my room or communicate to me in any way. The busboy just returned to my table, and dumped a check for the full dinner, without a word. I have been in the hospitality industry for decades and was appalled with much of the callous behavior. However, I did experience some lovely employees during my stay, as well, many who went out of their way.

Nice room and a fantastic breakfast with a huge selection of delicious options. The new spa looked quite busy but we were delighted to have the residents-only Asiane spa all to ourselves! The bar is very nice and serves great cocktails.

The room was a little dated and the shower leaked but this was fixed the next day and we were given a bottle of Cremant on departure by way of an apology.

The restaurant was very good. Had a nice dinner. The Spa facilities were good.

Our room was located on the lobby floor and nearby the pool. It was too noisy, although we were very tired when we arrived at the hotel , it was not possible to get some rest.

Nice cosy rooms, outstanding room service. Beautiful modern spa wellness zone, for me the best out of what I have already visited. Cute teracces with green zones. Definitely the place to come back

    Nothing! Everything was perfect!

The spa is very large, and has a lot of facilities. One of the best spas I've been to. Highly recommended! Best suited for couples

Nothing, perfect stay as far as I'm concerned

    Spa et restaurant

Room good for the price but not exceptional. Bed extremely comfy

    3SamiPosted on: 3-18-2024

    Bad staff and false advertisement

The actual spa was not included in the price of the hotel, it's not clear at all on the website that it's not. All the pictures of booking are from the spa that is not included in the price. The staff was not nice at all, very disrespectful, not helpful, except the cleaning staff, very nice.

The room was small but cozy, clean and equipped with everything we needed. The breakfast had the best French Toast I've had in a long time, the lunch buffet was very tasty (and healthy!). The Yonaguni SPA is really a next level experience, I was a bit sceptical at the start but it exceeded my expectations - very large, with so many things to explore. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience!

Noting that really comes to mind.

The food in the restaurant was amazing. But also expensive (39 euros for a scalop dish). The spa is one of the best in Europe. Decoration and ambiance was my favourite. Super comfy bed.

I like everything but the hole in my wallet.

    3Andi-travelerPosted on: 11-30-2023

Very quiet location, despite the big construction just next to the hotel, and a very nice breakfast buffet.

On the booking page it was written 'including spa' but finally it turns out that there are two different spa, the famous Yonaguni Spa and the Asiane Spa, a small spa inside the hotel. And only the Asiane Spa was included. So we had to pay on top of the 300 euro for the Yonaguni Spa. Very confusing and misleading info if you don't know about. Furthermore the room was pretty old, and for us not a 4 star at all. And finally, once we left, we had to pay again, just the tourist tax of around 8 Euro, even if we already paid the room while checking in - totally annoying and not customer friendly! Why not just paying everything at once?

Gorgeous property. Wonderful, clean and large jr suite. Amazing restaurant.

    No parking

Room itself was nice and big.Friendly staffGood breakfastGood dinner Extremely nice spa

Airco in the room wasn't really working well, even at 17 degrees the room was extremely hot.

    8TamaraPosted on: 10-11-2023

Yonaguni spa is definitely worth a visit, great experience. The spa area in the hotel itself is also a nice one, but we did not appreciate that it cannot be used after the check out or before the check in, so one needs to pay at Yonaguni, if interested to go to spa. Room was pretty small and it could have been cleaner (a lot of dust and stains on the wall). Still bed was very comfortable. Breakfast has been excellent. Very polite and kind staff.

    3JaapPosted on: 8-24-2023

Breakfast was good, enough to choose from. Hoever, the price 28 euro for breakfast is absurd high per person.

This is simply a Spa and not a Hotel & Spa. If you book a room on the groundfloor, then your room smells to swimmingpool and you see only people in bathingsuits and bathrobes. The rooms are intertwined with the spa.The photos online about the room are so much beter than in real life. It is so outdated! That you cannot see this as a Hotel. And where is the park? Garden is more suitable. And again so much overpriced for that room. Totally not what we expected according to the website.
