Central location; very good breakfast buffet;Great staff

The room was an attic - didn’t expect that almost half of the ceiling was slanted so you have to bend your head to cross from one side of the room to the other… or else, you’ll hit your head..

Unfortunately i was under the weather for most of my stay in Obernai and this meant that i spent most of the time in our hotel room. If i had to be ill in a hotel in a foreign country, i would choose here. The staff was exceptionally helpful and the view from our room was the simply the best. We look forward to coming back when we can enjoy the city more. Staff was amazing and we loved Romey ;)

This is a charming hotel in the center of a beautiful Alsace town. We had a large plus room with windows on two sides and beautiful views over the main square. The room was large, bed very comfortable and a good size, bathroom good. This was our second stay at this hotel. There is a public car park behind the hotel which worked well for us (Place des Fines Herbes). We had breakfast at the hotel and it was very good.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel La Diligence. What a great location—our room looked right out onto the main square, which made it the perfect base for exploring Obernai. The room itself was spacious, the beds very comfortable, and the shower excellent. Breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of variety and a great start to the day.The hotel also provides secure bike parking, which was a big plus for us as cyclists. It made it easy to relax and enjoy the town knowing our bikes were safely stored.It was a very enjoyable stay overall. We were happy being here and would gladly stay again. The location was perfect not just for daytime exploring but also for a late-night stroll to see the church (Obernai Cathedral) and the old town beautifully lit up. A real gem in the heart of Obernai.

Very nice hotel in a lovely town. We spent one night here driving from the UK to Switzerland. Very friendly checkin, beautiful room, great location.

I loved the property. Perfect location at the center. Everything was very nice. Breakfast is well worth it. My first time to Obernai and will be coming back.

We stayed in room 203 which was delightful with dual aspects. We always enjoy La Diligence every time we staythere. The staff are extremely kind, helpful and personable.

The only improvement would be a duvet with a higher tog rate or extra blankets.

This was our fourth visit and we were upgraded to a suite without being asked. It was such a lovely and unexpected experience. We cannot fault this boutique hotel it even has gluten free bread, which is a bonus for my needs. The staff also recognised us as having stayed before which is always nice.

The room was comfortable, with a great city view. The bed was also good and everything was nice and clean. They also cared about our pet and the staff is super welcoming and nice. This felt great!

Just would reccomend you to offer new towels, it’s a very good place but with old and torn ones.

Right in the middle of pittoresque Obernay, arrived late at night and woke up to wonderful view of the square and pretty townhouses. Comfortable beds and clean room.

Only bad thing is that breakfast closed already at 10 on a ”Sunday” (26th of december), a little early for a holiday so had to go out to get coffe and croissant.

Everything was perfect

-the proximity to the Christmas Market-the breakfast

- the view was horrible, nothing like in the pictures; from our windows you could only see the back of an abandoned building, dead pigeons - when we tried to open our windows, feathers from pigeons were entering our room- a lot of noise from the kitchen, starting from 6AM in the morning - no slippers in our room - for all of these complaints, the staff kept saying “We are sorry about that”

The location is excellent, since it is in the very center, right in front of the square. I liked the hotel, because I saw nice pictures of the rooms on the booking site, which are quite spacious, nicely arranged and with large windows overlooking the square. However, that's not all as it seems at first glance. Arriving at the hotel, we were instructed by the receptionist in room 401. When we got to the room, the feeling of discomfort that overcame me at the moment when I saw the room we were taken to the accommodation, words cannot describe it. It was a room of about 5 m2 and with a miniature window, which looked more like a window than a toilet. I had the feeling that we were staying in a storage room, and not a large double room as we had booked and paid a higher price than usual. At the same moment, I went down to the reception desk and asked to change my room, for the room I paid for and reserved, but I could only I get resentment and rejection of opportunities replacement due to the full occupancy of the hotel. Seeing that I could not change anything, I requested a conversation with the main manager, who also gave unsubstantiated reasons why I found myself in such an unpleasant situation and their inability to correct their mistake, constantly stating that the hotel was full, and that if the room does not suit me, I can change the hotel. I think it was totally unprofessional and inappropriate on the part of the hotel management, especially such a statement "to change the hotel", in 8:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve. I also asked them to call the police, but they replied that no one would come for such a call and that they did not know the number of the police. The rudeness, unprofessionalism and fickleness of the staff and management of the hotel, who misled and cheated me for the price difference between the reserved large room and the unacceptable small room in which they accommodated us.

We got an upgrade for only 40 euro to the Balcony Suite which has a nice view on the square. Nice room. Excellent breakfast and lots of good restaurants. Really nice hotel staff. We really liked the Freiberg.

Sometimes difficult to find a free public parking spot. Yes the hotel does have paid parking places but it is quite a challenge to park there especially with the wider car we have.
