    Pros +

    • Wonderful place, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Good private beach.
    • Very beautiful hotel. Great Spa. Nice Staff. Excellent breakfast. Hotel was not crowded at all.
    • Pleasant

    Cons -

    • Enjoyed the whole experience. No issues.
    • Spa facilities left quite a lot to be desired. Surely not 5 star. Paint peeling off the ceiling of the steam room and dropping onto the floor. Not cleaned up or touched in the 3 days we were there. Turkish “Salt” Sauna with a moldy smell and no salt in sight. Bio Sauna advertised as having air infused with herb and essential oils which was not true at all (confirmed by spa staff). Actually a foul smell. No soap made available in any of the spa showers to ensure guests clean before & after using the facilities. High chlorine levels and strong smell in all baths and the cold plunge. One towel made available at entry and forced to return to front desk to ask for a fresh one. Typically with a 5 star you would expect a coffee/tea time in the afternoon with some complimentary hors d'oeuvre or desserts served to guests. In this case only tea and some nuts made available. Finally, outside of the disappointing spa experience, the facilities all around the property are quite dated including the room we have stayed in. One of the days water was completely shut off and for 3-4 hours when it returned the water was completely brown which in my opinion is unacceptable at a “5 star resort”. Interactions with staff were limited and mostly positive however in two instances on arrival during check-in and at check-out slight condescension has been noted from the front desk employee.
    • - food menu got very samey after a few days- pizza oven out of order- Bar restaurant didn’t have good seating for an evening meal, need better table and chairs set up- when busy the service lapsed which was a shame because it was very good when quieter

Good and clean facilities, comfortable room, and helpful staff.

A well-decorated, renovated and stylish hotel set in endless gardens in an old country style villa. You can be sure that the staff will do everything they can to make you feel comfortable! They are all very warm and friendly! The hotel does not have a direct beach but that is absolutely no problem! They have a shuttle to the beach and the private beach is a great place! Emanuel is working very hard to make it beautiful! The spa area is completely new and very big! You will be pleased with the amazing care of the spa manager - you should try the massages! The outdoor pool is also big and spacious! We would like to thank everyone who made us feel at home during our stay (reception, room service, pool bar, lobby bar and bell boys).

The restaurant service is incredibly slow! Generally the waiters are running around like bees but the chefs don't do much - just welcome and what do you want to drink! This was a bit annoying! also in a long stay hotel we expect the restaurant menu to change even if it is a daily main course but the same menu was served every day! At then end staff was very friendly and did all they can!

    The spa and the pasta

We were a group of 15 who spent well over €12000 over three nights. There were three dogs on the property, none looked after, two badly injured. Why was it on us to call out a vet and get help for them? The hotel should have taken care of them especially as there is an excellent vet and shelter just five minutes down the road. If you love animals don’t stay at this hotel.

The staff were excellent! They were polite, engaging, friendly and very helpful! The Spa is undoubtably their jewel in the crown. It really is amazing!! 10/10 beautiful swimming pool, slightly too hot, Sauna, Salt Steam Room, so much space to relax. Quiet rooms, cold water plunge pools you name it!

Mosquitoes were a problem. During meals you had to make sure you were either covered up or had mosquito repellant on. Mosquitoes in the bedrooms too were a problem. So agasin you needed to spray before bedtime! Or make sure that there were no lingering ?s waiting for you. Of course it was possible to keep them at bay but you needed to be aware always !

Overall - excellent stay. Amazing staff - from check in, breakfast, lunch, spa and dinner. Massive rooms - comfy bed and great pillows. Extremely clean and well maintained property. Lovely pool area. Spa was amazing.

One section of the spa was closed. Pizza oven out of order for entire stay.

The entire staff was super friendly and highly professional at all times. The wonderful spa featured an array of amenities, including an indoor pool, sauna, trepidarium, and more, all of which we enjoyed to the fullest. The outdoor pool area (with its pool bar) was really cool. The hotel's architecture and the gardens were elegant and beautiful.

While the daily breakfast was enjoyable, it could have benefited from more variety. The private beach, unfortunately, did not meet 5-star expectations, being somewhat small, distant from other facilities, and affected by algae. The restaurant experience was decent: the staff were very professional, but the food itself was only average, especially considering the pricing. The hotel’s focus on sustainability is commendable, but small plastic bottles were still being used for daily toiletries.

The hotel is really well designed with lots of luxury features, the spa is amazing and the staff are very attentive and helpful. The breakfast and dinner food options are also strong. It is a very relaxing environment with large comfortable rooms where the air conditioning works well.

The hotel is in a very remote location so you need a car to properly visit the surrounding area/ other restaurants as taxis are very expensive.

Beautiful elegant property with fabulous service and attention to detail. A real treat. Huge rooms. Great spa area. Lovely pool. Luxurious and traditional for a very indulgent stay

The booking process was a major faff. Booked with booking.com but instead of taking payment it sent various messages in the days following that contained a link that didn’t work with internet explorer….. almost gave up as was so needy and unnecessary. Ended up emailing asking fir a link I could use. Then got to the hotel and they weren’t aware I’d paid so what was the point? All very long winded and unnecessary and would have put lots of people off

Service, equipment - specially the Spa

Can't sleep at night as 3 dogs were barking in front of our windows during the 3 nights - I called the reception but nothing as been done and we complain at check out, the employee just say: i 'm sorry !!!!! what a pity the rest of our stay was perfect

Almost everything about the hotel, wonderful, relaxing, quiet, lovely staff. A place to rejuvenate Incredible Spa also..

Scrambled Eggs, price of food and drinks on the high side

The property generally is top class. Super clean and staff are really friendly. the spa is amazing.

The outdoor pool needs to be heated! It was colder than the sea water !! It was just super super cold water. given that it’s an amazing pool but has very low usage, I would’ve thought management would pick up on that and understand and realise why it wasn’t being used properly. the indoor pool was heated but on a warm day you do want to stay outdoors and enjoy the sun but you also don’t want to freeze in the pool water. I also think that they need to introduce some more vegetarian dishes into the menu for dinner and for lunch. And given that it’s a five star resort it would be handy to have a kids menu.
