    Based on 180 reviews

    Pros +

    • Pool spa la reception
    • Good accommodation.Good staff.Close to sea and train.Possible free parking on the street close to hotel except Tuesday because of its market day.
    • Everything was good.

    Cons -

    • There is no publicly available drinking water, you need to buy additional water separately throughout the day, evening and night. At night there is no possibility to get hot water for tea or other drinks. There is no hot water kettle in the room.
    • I was not clearly informed during booking that the hot pool is not included, so I paid extra during my visit, and it cost me roughly 150 euros.I have not received any kettle in the room, which I have to pay extra for it and the tap water I was using in the room to fill the kettle was quite salty, so I have to buy a water bottle to make tea in the room. Initially staff gave us a few packets of tea and milk, then we had to pay extra for any more tea and milk. This was a new experience for me, as kettles and tea are usually complementary in hotels and resorts.I understand that during dinner, we are meant to purchase drinking water from the restaurant. And if we ask for tap water, the catering staff doesn't seem very happy to provide it. A few times, we drank tap water provided by the staff was quite salty as well. I think it would be advisable during booking to inform visitors to consider all the costs in mind, as all of it comes extra.
    • The lady in the reception was very rude. Reception was empty and when i asked where to park the car, no indication, no explanation, she just waved with her hand to go find a parking. Her colleague later explained that they have an agreement with hotel next door for good rates and the process to follow. Last thing i wanted after 10 hours drive is to spend 1h15 looking for parking.

Was clean enough with a decent menu

Didn’t like having to pay so much for parking out of season , the cost of parking was more than the hire car. We shouldn’t have to pay for a kettle in hotel ever !

We used this hotel as our base for exploring Barcelona, as its location is very convenient, either you have your own car or use public transport. Train station is located just outside the hotel, and you can travel from there right to Placa de Catalunya. Hotel itself is near the beach and short walk from Carrefour supermarket. As we travelled in low season, Santa Susanna town was rather very quiet and most of the shops and restaurants were closed down. Despite that, hotel was lively and full of tourists from all over the world. Our room was clean and spacious, with super comfy beds and nice view from the balcony. Teenage kids enjoyed their time at the swimming pool and game zone room, which were a life saver during bad weather we were unlucky enough to experience. We loved the breakfast, with great selection of hot and cold food, pastries, fruits and even Proseco for a good start of the day. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, and made our stay even more enjoyable.

Extra charges for use of indoor swimming pool were a little bit disappointing.

+ great location, beach is 3 minutes walk+ helpful staff+ tasty meals with a very wide range of options+ clean+ cheap parking available

    - very little soundproofing between the rooms as well as between room and the corridor- odd room layout with toilet and basins not next to one another- poor lighting, especially in the shower- probably a room issue, but we had constantly flushing toilet

This hotel is a really good place to stay if you want a nice relaxing area and like to avoid the downtown mess of Barcelona. It has a good buffet, some arcade games, an amazing pool area with just the right amount of chairs and outdoor seating. It’s great for anyone. This hotel is more on the quiet side. I wouldn’t come to party. It’s majority 85% older people. I recommend getting the pool facing view or else your stuck looking at other hotels and the alleys. It has great shops along the boardwalk and other restaurants in really close distance. The staff is really nice. Everything is super efficient. You don’t have to wait long for the reception. PS, if you have kids and they like to go on the balcony, book the first floor it’s a safer option. Also, pool is too cold for babies.

The rooms could be updated a little bit and cleaned a little more. I found dust in the lamp shapes and on the bed skirts. Some build up on the shower head. The floors need a good scrub.

    Pleasant stay-as always.Total 6 nights.Exellent food and service.Slept well.Close to train station.I will be back!

Breakfast was good, but things aren't replenished quickly. Even juices. The earlier you go, the better it is. The location is good, but it's one of the further out good hotels.

Staff aren't very engaging as a 5 star hotel do. They are good, but you can see a difference. Its a good 4 star hotel.

The location, food, entertainment and helpful staff

That there was no kettle in the room and coffee making facility

    Nice room size and buffet

Spa was decent but could have been better for a 4 star S

Really nice hotel with a big pool outside in a great location with grill, restaurant, bar etc its got everyting and is just across from the beach and all the night life etc

    Everything was good

We really enjoyed the service and breakfast at the hotel. The reception staff was very friendly. It is located in an excellent location near the beach and the train station. The dinner was fantastic as well.

    8GalynaPosted on: 9-16-2024

The hotel and place are nice. The food was excellent with a lot of choices. The sea is not from the hotel and also clean and warm.

The hotel has a SPA but you have to pay for it But there is nothing special in the spa. The hotel has a gym but it is also located in spa, so you have to pay for gym if you want to use it.

    6ArnaldoPosted on: 9-6-2024

    Nice meals, great nearby beach.

Regular services and Ibis-like rooms. Not 4*s.

    9SvetlanaPosted on: 9-2-2024

    - Great food (good variety, buffet refilled during the whole dinner timespan, cava for breakfast, seafood throughout the whole week), almost no queues at the restaurant in peak season in August- Good and courteous staff, always ready to help- Spacious room, good cleaning- Great entertainment team- Plenty of things to do for kids (mini disco, swimming pool, arcade machines etc.)- Mini market just inside the hotel building for snacks and refreshments, big Carrefour supermarket a short walk away- the beach of Santa Susanna is lovely, vast expanse of coarse sand, with clear blue water

Nothing in particular. Things to note about Santa Susanna which are characteristic of the whole resort and I just mention them here as something to keep in mind when booking:- the sea slopes very steeply in this area of the coast - which is a known fact, so just bring or buy some inflatables and watch your kids- the hotel is located somewhat further away from the part of the beach supervised by lifeguards than other hotels in the area, but it's still pretty close - an easy 10 mins walk along the promenade- drinks at dinner are not included into the HB price, but again, this is standard for HB in Spain- the train from Sta Susanna to Barcelona which everyone rates as a big plus is actually always packed with people - there's no chance you can find a place to seat either way for the 1h+ journey during the summer period, so consider renting a car or even taking a taxi
