Good hotel, very friendly reception, we may to ask everything and always had the answer, Thanks. The beach is near, about 100 m from the sea. Quiet room, good size, delicious food, good choice. We' ll come again.

The location is too far a little.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, the staff was polite and helpful, the rooms were cleaned every day, and the food was really good. The location is also convenient

The internet connection was almost never working, and when it did, it was very poor. Also, the walls are very thin, so the noise was terrible and it was hard to rest.

We're regulars at the Cartago Nova, we stayed here several times during the years (our first stay was back in 1993!!!).

We liked everything, otherwise we wouldn't be returning guests.

Location

The room. It says aircon but only fan. There's no cool feel. When we try to tell it to the front desk they just told us it is their system like centralized so when rooms simultaneously open their aircon some may not have the cool feel. Was it how to reply client? I mean it is not our problem whatever about their system. We pay properly and so we should get the corresponding service that we paid for isn't it? And one thing more, they told us they will refund the money if we were not comfortable had we found another place to stay...at past 10pm in the evening?? Where on earth can we find at that hour and again was it a good reply to a client from their end????

Very clean, nice looking rooms, great shower facilities

Walls are little bit thin- on our floor was lots of teenagers staying who liked to be very loud..

This was our second year staying at this hotel during our holidays on Costa Brava. All the staff are extremely helpful, efficient, and great to interact with (at the reception and in the breakfast area, also staff doing the rooms). The breakfast and the other meals are really excellent, a huge variety of choices for all tastes, and absolutely superb desserts. Very good coffee for breakfast. Clean room. Plenty of towels, changed every day. Room cleaned every day (basic cleaning with towels changed every day). Comfortable beds with good pillows and linen. The bathrooms (with shower) are very comfortable, no issues with water temperature or water pressure, all working great. We came with our cat, reasonable price for bringing a pet. We received vouchers for welcome drinks, this was a nice touch :) Good location, close to the beach and a lot of shopping options, bars etc

I think the furniture in some rooms could use some upgrading but this wasn’t an issue for us.

Very basic hotel, but I use room only for sleeping all day otherwise im outside! Only one thing missing in the room is fridge! And maybe someone would not like that downstairs is night club every day open!

The location is good. It is close to the beach, many restaurants and the places that we needed to go. We travel with our cat and it was a good experience, we didn't have problems.

Friendly and helpful staff although very little English spoken by the ones we dealt with but it wasn't a problem.

The hot breakfast we had was 'cold'

Sea view was lovely. Location nice.

Dinner and breakfast buffets were carb heavy. Disco was noisy until 4 am. I guess that’s why there were earplugs available. Checkout was too early.

Lovely location, right at the beach. Clean rooms, very polite cleaning lady on the 9th floor, bless her heart! Everything went as expected, it’s a basic hotel and perfect for a family vacation.

No fridge in the roomTERRIBLE buffet. Worst I’ve been to… Reception girls talk to you like they paid for your stay.

The staff were really nice and friendly, we got a room with a broken air-conditioning, they changed the room for a better one. It wasn't woeking perfectly running, but we could sleep through the night without issues.

The air-conditioning needs renovation/upgrade. The hotel was full of young kids who were making a lot of noise during the night

They give you earplugs to help with the music coming from the disco. Cleaning staff very handy and committed.

A hard place to sleep in due to the loud music coming from the inhouse disco. Outdated and not very equipped rooms.

Except the noise the hotel is rather good, rooms are clean and nice. Food is good.

There is a disco in the very same building which makes sleeping barely possible. It is open whole night till 6 in the morning. It is not only the disco but also screaming and fighting on the street and if you somehow manage to fall asleep an ocassional firework will definitely wake you up. I was on the 6th floor and it did not help. It is unacceptable: you either run a hotel where people sleep or a disco which makes sleeping impossible. Moreover the rooms are extremely poorly isolated which makes it even worst (if you are unlucky with loud neigbours you will hear everything, but you are not sleeping anyways because of the disco so actually it does not matter...).

Pretty good location, variaty of food, welcoming gifts.

Forget about the sleep as you will have worst pillows and banging music next to your window until 7 AM.

Location was excellent, near local shops and restaurants, room was clean, breakfast was very good, plenty options

The water in the shower took a long time to heat up and the air conditioning did not work.

I liked the location as the sea is right across the street. The room was clean, also the hotel clean. The bathroom was also very clean. The room is big enough to make you feel comfortable. The room has a desk and a big closet which were very useful. Rooms have balconies. The personnel is friendly and nice. Good breakfast, with many options to choose from. There are many restaurants and stores all around the hotel. Stunning sea view from the window! Supermarkets in the area, at approx. 5 - 10 min by car. Non-stop reception service.

The walls are very thin and you can hear absolutely everything from the other rooms. Couldn't rest properly because it's very noisy outside too, from 9 - 10 in the evening until 6 in the morning. There is a club right in front of the hotel, loud music all night, while in front of the hotel there were many groups of party people, very loud too. Even with the windows closed, the noise is very loud and it's not possible to rest. During the day, the location is lovely, During the evening, I didn't feel 100% safe in the area. People at the bar of the hotel were not nice. The check-in was very slow as the person at the desk didn't know very well what to do.

Staff polite and good food, gluten-free available if asked.

Great staff, really helpful. Breakfast is ok, good variety of options. The pool is nice.Good price / quality for the area.

The room can be refreshed and the lobby too. Some noise you can hear from the corridor.
