Avantgarde Hotel

Staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was really good, included local foods, self made bread and wide variety of cheeses.

Nice location for reason of trip, nice staff and clean rooms and property.

Generally old furniture and bath room. Missing A/C under slowly working WIFI.

Breakfast was fine, no complaints, reasonable considering the price paid. Staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. Helped me to order in food from a local restaurant for lunch as their own restaurant hadn't open yet. and even put it on a plate and gave me cutlery.

No AC or even a fan in the room. it was far too hot. Shower cubicles quite small, a large person may struggle.

With outside temperatures around 30 degrees, the lack of air conditioning was a negative point. Moreover, it is incomprehensible that there was not even a fan available! Let's be realistic: the earth is warming up, even in Germany!

The hotel was excellent. Lene on reception was so helpful she went to so much trouble to book us a restaurant in the town which was quite hard as the Christmas Market was on, nothing was too much troble for her. A valued member of staff definitely an 11 out of 10 for her.

Breakfast was excellent. Location was convenient to where I worked.

Only single room was available, and it was bit too small.

Very friendly staff, we arrived 2 hours before check in time and they prepared our room in 10 minutes.Good breakfast.Very spacious and clean room.Convinient location - in a quiet neighbourhood, 10 minutes walking to the old town.

Friendly staff, excellent facilities, great breakfast, large comfortable room, great value! Walking distance to the christmas market. And to top it all off, we were able to charge our EV on site.

The rooms are a little outdated, but that’s definitely not a showstopper.

The best bed I have ever slept in when travelling. Very quiet hotel. The buffet for breakfast offers lot of options.

There wasn't a coffee machine in the apartment. And no cushions either.

Hattingen city maintains its charm. Serene atmosphere is liked.

Room tariff is higher as compared to similar hotels in France and Italy. Tariff needs to be revised and reduced.

doors close at 10 pm and the back door is literally that, a door in a dark alleyway in the back of the building. Spa facilities were broken (just the day before ) and it's just a little far too walk and too short for a taxi journey

The Best regional hotel in Germany, very good personnel, helpful, perfect breakfast, clean big and extremely comfort rooms. I had opportunity to stay in Avantgarde hotel several times - always exceptional service and best impressions from my side. THANK YOU !!!!

The property is well situated in a surprisingly pretty town. the lady in reception was superb when 5 tired motorcyclists arrived. she sat us outside in the sun, got us a beer each and brought the registration documents out to fill in and sign. absolutely superb

Very helpful staff, a welcome drink when we arrived and a good breakfast. We had a room with a kitchenette and sitting area, which was nice as Hattingen town is 20 mins walk away. It's always nice to have a kettle in the room!

The hotel is located in a nice quite neighborhood. The room was big, and the breakfast was very good with high variety. The city center Hattington is in walking distance. It a place that we would like to stay in the next time when we visit the area.

Lovely, quaint hotel. The staff were lovely and the rooms for large.
