Garner Hotel Munich - Messe by IHG

Very friendly and nice hotel. Child friendly. It was very clean. The staff was professional and friendly. Very nice breakfast with plenty to choose from.

Paying for the parking in front felt a bit off, even though it was just 10 eur.

The hotel was located at 20 minutes walking from the Munich expo fairground. Hotel rooms were comfortable and clean, personal was very helpfull at reception. Unfortunately , the hotel restaurant was closed, but at 2 minutes walking, you can find a very good restaurant

The staff are excellent, friendly and courteous.

Beds were to soft…train was in good distance but in Gornstof you had to be back early to get the 242 and the U2 has the return to the hotel walking in the dark

Really enjoyed the hotel.- There is a separate parking lot, but it costs 10 euros per day. It is almost impossible to park nearby for free because of the private sector.- Very comfortable beds and cleanliness of the room.- You can buy snacks at the front desk. The choice is quite large, which is important given the lack of stores within walking distance (5-10 minutes).- Typical German breakfast with coffee, cheeses, sausages, and pastries. We enjoyed it very much.- Welcoming and friendly staff.

- We got a room overlooking the driveway and slept with the window slightly open.- It was tough to sleep because of the noise of cars passing by. And in the morning, trucks started to drive by.- Paid parking.

Very quiet location a short walk the underground to Munich city centre.Staff very nice and friendly.Great breakfast selection.

The room is big. The location is nice , it’s close to restaurants, 5 min with a car. The reception guy was really nice and welcoming. Breakfast is expensive- 19€!

It wasn’t so clean. The mattress was too soft .

Advertises restaurant on site but only serves frozen pizza on an evening. Stayed 2 years ago and the evening menu wasn’t huge but was a decent choice of meals

Not for people who can't walk far enough to the nearest rail (~1/2 mile), bus doesn't come very often. Beds are pretty firm.

32C and no air conditioning. Bar never open. €250 per night was exploitation of guests attending Adele concert €50 per night is normal price.

We only booked this hotel because it was close to the Messe; we knew we were overpaying due to the concert there. However even at the regular price, we would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Cleanliness of the room was not OK. The bathroom was at best superficially clean and regularly smelled of sewage. Water temperature of the shower was constantly varying. The room itself also had an unpleasant odor which can only be described as smelly feet.Curtains were insufficient to darken the room. There was also no other way to keep the sun out, which made for a very warm night.Also beware that although we booked a three person room, the third bed was only an extra added bed which was uncomfortable.

The green area around the location.The cleanliness maintained by the staff.Value for money.Distance of the hotel from our conference/ work venue (Trade Centre/ Congress Centre) was approachable.

There was no difference in the menu of the breakfast offered throughout the week.As most of the time we travelled through metro or bus, we have to take a minimum of 18 minutes of walk to the station from the hotel. When we tried to book a taxi/ cab to airport, multiple times the taxi cancelled our ride mentioning the location of the hotel.

reception staff were friendly and helpful

the bar man were unhelpful and there was little or no food service other than breakfast. no way to get a coffee/hot drink at convenience, bar had limited times. No air con, no fan, smoking all around so couldn't leave windows open for air. dirty cups and glasses not changed in the room.

The stay was conveniently located for an expo I was attending. The breakfast was enough and the staff were very professional who provided advice and support multiple times.
