- The views of the sea are amazing. Breakfasts very healthy. Excellent transportation options. Staff was very helpful and accommodating.
- Very close to the sea, just a 100m walk directly to the seashore crossing a road, there was an excellent bathing platform where you can jump to the surprisingly clean water. Water was 16.5 Celsius in June, very refreshing but surprisingly pleasant for jumping and swimming a bit in the otherwise hot, sunny wheather. Good that there were some locals there and warned me that there was a big jelly fish just beside the platform - but as I learned as long as you watched not to jump on it, it was fine. There was a very small other one also there, but apart from these two did not see others and people were jumping / swimming. I did not dare though to swim more, did not want to meet another one, but still jumping to the extremely fresh water was really great, I enjoyed it.
- Great property, perfect location, friendly staff.
Cons -
- The noise from the restaurant can be hard to shut out when trying to get to sleep.
- In this climate having breakfast outdoors is possible only during the summer so most of the tables were inside or in a kind of glass house, but we had a sunny June day, so outside was more convenient than in the glass house or indoors. The door to go out was extremely narrow, you need to go almost by side not to hit your shoulders. The outdoors area is very narrow, just enough for narrow tables in a row, chairs on both sides, behind that some green bushes and the hotel's parking place with the cars. Breakfast was just OK, not very good, but manageable and it is for additional fee.My wife had some bad experience though during breakfast - after I left the table, she was talking to our daughter on the phone at the breakfast table, phone was set on speaker but not loud and she was talking also not loudly. This may not have been too polite I admit and she should have used and whispered to a headset, but apparently some other guests did not like that she talked to a phone and not to someone else live at the table, because a woman started to speak in Danish to her probably asking to stop talking on the phone. She lowered her voice and the phone as well immediately and started to say good bye to our daughter on the line, that she needs to stop now and will call her back. Apparently her reaction was not quick enough, as another man at another table started to talk to her also - probably also in Danish - very angrily, and clearly wanted her out the breakfast area with or without the phone. I was not there, but this experience with the other guests has completely ruined her mood. Maybe it is a cultural difference (no, she is not Italian or someone who is naturally louder when talking), but maybe you should consider always using a sensitive headset and talk (whisper) really softly to the phone if you want to talk to someone while finishing your coffee at the breakfast table, as the tolerance of other people in this part of the world may be lower than you may expect it...
- The room was a bit small but that was the only thing I struggled with a bit - everything else was perfect

Great property, perfect location, friendly staff.
The room was a bit small but that was the only thing I struggled with a bit - everything else was perfect
A lovely situated hotel with parking. The hotel is very rustic, the room was spotless with all the facilities you would expect. We had a balcony which offered beautiful views. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. The hotel was well located to travel into Copenhagen. There was a bus stop outside the hotel, or you could take a 20 minute walk to the station to get into Copenhagen quicker. The immediate surroundings are very pretty. There are some local cafés. There is a lovely bar next door that serves good reasonably priced food.
We thought breakfast was a bit too expensive for what you got. There was a nice selection, but compared to some other hotels we stayed in, it lacked variety.
The breakfast was excellent. Focus was on healthy foods, highly recommended. Just adjust your expectations to know that this is an older, creaky hotel well worth staying in. The "pub" restaurant was especially good for lunch and dinner, also highly recommended. Staff were great!
It would be better if they didn't charge for small extras like a bathrobe for going to the beach, or beach towels. Also, if they could arrange for guests to use the saunas by the water -would be worth paying extra for this special Scandinavian experience, if possible. If staying in a room on the first floor above the restaurants (one on each side of the hotel), you will hear noise! Bring earplugs or drink enough shnapps that you won't care!
Everything! The quaint rooms #1 and 2 were perfect for family stay
Weird that no receptionafter 3p
Really nice staff and a great atmosphere. Good food (bistro) and nice, healthy breakfast
Poor soundproofing (stayed in the building next to the hotel)
The hotel is quaint, real room keys, wonderful front staff. Restaurant on premises. Bar with food next door. Minutes to beach, harbor and restaurants.
Considering the beach is right there, charging for bath robes is a bit cheapish, and probably not what a place like this should do. H
atmosphere and location, friendly staff
size of the room, too small
Nice old house.
The bed was very uncomfortable, additional weight got room next to storage room. Already at. 9:00 the cleaning stuff was doing a lot noises.
Spacious and comfortable room on ground floor of annexe. very dark due to staircase and galery above the window and a stone wall 2 metres away. Staff went there to smoke. Bathroom mould needed removing on shower screen and bottom of bathroom door had been wet and was disintegrating. On the plus side the bus stop is outside the hotel and we could go for a long walk along the see front.
Bathroom and breakfast
Beautiful location and so well done...historic yet up to date and classically decorated. Walking distance to the shore and additional restaurants. Bus stop to get to downtown CPH is literally at the foot of the exit...and bo tickets are needed, all you need to do is download an app. Couldn't have been more pleasant!
Nothing! A hair dryer would have been nice, but certainly not a deal breaker!
Nice cosy hotel. Room not so big but everything you need is there. Breakfast could be more extensive.
A nice petit hotel
Our room was small and the bed was uncomfortable
This is a wonderful small hotel. The ambiance is simply terrific. The staff is great, rooms are wonderful, location is perfect. Did not have breakfast there, but seen reviews that said it was good. The “old school” feel is nice, real keys, a reception. Been here twice, and I am quite certain I will be returning. The harbor has some nice place to eat. There is a newish place called Halgodt, street food vendors, indoor and outdoor seating. A really nice place to go hang out, grab food and drink. One photo is of the room, the other at Halgodt.
Can’t think of anything, though a bathrobe would be nice in the room. You can pay for one though.
Location very good,breakfast poor
Smallest room ever stayed in,tiny.Extra charge for a second pillow !whyI know it’s Denmark but at those prices, not value for money.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. The character and history of the building is unique. The restaurant was also superb
The bathroom could do with a little refresh and the spider webs outside the windows should be cleaned away.
The staff was fantastic! It is an older hotel but was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good.
Not much really
The room was on the small side and the bathroom tiny. For those who have difficulty climbing no lift esoecially to the 2nd floor.was a challenge. The hotel itself is lovely, the personnel very helpful and accommodating. The food first class. A great place to stay,
See above comments re stairs
This is a beautiful old property, as charming as it could be. Our room, no. 11, was large, with a balcony and a lovely view out to the water. The staff are wonderful- friendly, helpful, accommodating. The breakfast is fabulous, absolutely worth the extra charge. The hotel and the neighborhood are quiet. There is a city bus that stops in front of the hotel that takes you to the center of town ( you need Kroners in exact change to ride).
The restaurant at the hotel is excellent, but there aren’t many other options in walking distance.
