Hotel & Spa Golden Barcelona

It was quiet and the room was large.

The supper menu was limited and the staff although helpful were over tasked. The heating system in the room didn’t function properly forcing us to use space heaters.

The decor was modern and contemporary, although the lighting was poor and the protruding bed frame caused my mother to trip and fall, injuring her arm

The air conditioning was not working in the hotel. We were not advised of this prior to or on check-in. There was no effort made by the hotel to compensate for this inconvenience and in particular, my mother and one of my children were left on a first floor room with an open balcony window for the exit hose of the portable ac unit in their room. This was not very secure. There was no AC unit in our room on the second floor.

I had thought that I had booked the Golden Hotel, not the Hotel Golden, so was rather shocked to discover that I was 'out in the country' not in the city with my cousin! My own fault...although the name is confusing!So I was eventually pleased with the hotel and its surroundings as it was calm after a day in the city, and when I discovered that I could get a bus nearby straight into the city for 4.50 euros instead of the 45 euros I had to pay for a taxi, I was happy.Great complimentary breakfast. Superb desk staff.

It was disappointing not to have a restaurant in the evening on site, although a pizza was made available.

Loved the environment and the fresh air! The staff was nice and the breakfast was pretty good too. Rooms were clean and comfortable as well.Definitely will come back for more fresh air!

I can understand mistakes or oversights. But I cannot accept so much lack of assistance...

I spent one night in this hotel on September 20th. The day before I asked an invoice. They told ma they will prepare it and it will ba available next morning. The day after, no invoice availlble. They took my email ensuring me they will send it. Twelve days later, I did not received any answer, despite all my reminders. I travel for my business. I need an invoice to get reimburse from my company… If you need an invoice, move on !

*Poor staff, just one person on the reception who has to take care of check in- customers orders by the pool*No restaurant / bar in the property , so no food available after breakfast service

We need a place to stay on our way back to France. We usually spend the night in Barcelona but this time decided to stay outside the city. It was the best decision. Super quitte location. The hotel provides excellent value for money. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and clean. A very generous breakfast buffet is included as well.

It was a good looking hotel, nice staff. Basic idea was good with spa and all.

Some stuff in my hotel room was broken. And the check in and check out time was not correct in the E-mail so I had to book a day extra. The swimming pool wasn’t that clean either.

The staff very polite and welcoming from start to end, spacious rooms with a good view, good spa facilities to take a moment to relax, breakfast was also very good.

When we checked in was was told the restaurant was closed so we could get a meal that night. we also asked three different members of staff could we pls have a breakfast bag takeout as we was leaving early before breakfast started. This didn’t happen as in the morning nobody knew anything about our request (not good).Also I was so looking forward to going in the swimming pool after a long days drive, but when I started to go in the pool I couldn’t believe how dirty it was. Even the chrome steps to climb in had ground in dirt on them, so I didn’t go in. And the pool needs draining and scrubbing clean to get it cleaned properly. would never stay here again…?

The breakfast was very tasty and varied. The hotel is nice, the staff are very kind; reception is 24h, which was very convenient for our late check-in. The rooms were well cleaned.

I was booked a room which, according to the photos and size, was visibly different from the real one. I got a significantly smaller room, with a very small bed, which was not very comfortable for two people and 4 nights.

The hotel was AMAZING. We came here because we went to see Formula 1. It’s just 10/15 min from the Circuit (take a Cabify/Bolt, never a local taxi!). Breakfast in the morning were so good as well, plenty of food and amazing staff. The room was so big and everything was nice a clean. The Spa and massage experience was great, everyone made us feel so comfortable. THANK YOU AGAIN! ???

The room was a bit warm at night, AC wasn’t very cold. We opened the window and curtains and wasn’t too bad (June).

The young man at the front desk was exceptional. In fact, he was the best part of our stay.

At first, we were not given the room that we reserved. That was pretty quickly rectified after complaining to the front desk. Unfortunately, the AC in the room we were finally given did not work. It was a hot night sleeping on the rock hard bed.Also, the bathroom had a constant urine like smell. It was a pretty substantial odor.The hotel shows a four star rating, but in our opinion barely deserves a two star rating. Everything inside was fairly cheaply done. One bright thing was the location. It seemed like a very peaceful location.We had a bit of bad luck though. There was a wedding the next day at the hotel. There was a good bit of noise in the hallways that night. There was also a lot of noise outside near our room from the staff setting up the outside wedding area. The noise started pretty early in the morning.

the fact that I have been given a room way before arriving at the property… and to my surprise not featured with the items that you should expect from a 4star hotel, phone to connect with reception was not working… Tv had a poor selection of channels if any… shower seemed that was missing parts and toilet seat was yellow stained…. spoke to the staff but did not see much empathy in trying to solve the phone problem, and considering that they already had this room allocated form even before arriving at the reception I saw no point in stressing any further… overall a disappointment

it was clean and the staff were helpful. it was cheap

the rooms are not sound proofed we could hear people in the room next door coughing or snoring. we could also hear a lot of barking dogs at all hours in the neighbourhood. The hotel is used by golfers and people visiting the racing circuit and every night we were there people were coming back very late and making a crazy amount of noise talking, laughing and shouting. one night this was going on until 2:30am. Had we wanted to use the pool we couldn’t as it was very dirty.

We were upgraded to a suite for free ??

Not that much reli i felt reli well looked after. If I had to find something what I dint like, it would have to be the water when washing was a bit cool. But honestly lovely, oh and they forgot us some clean bath robes, one day

The hotel is new, room is big with modern design. The stuff is helpful and very friendly! Quiet place with nice view to the mountains from the balcony.Beautiful yard.

The spa was not workingThe water in the bathtube was not hot enough for winter time when filling it (but they said the hotel is new so they're still working on many things)

Nice hotel, nice location, nice staff, nice room.

Restaurant did not open for dinner apparently because of staff sickness, so we had to order pizza. Breakfast the next morning was also limited and unappetizing.

Room was spacious and they made us a vegan and gluten-free breakfast. We asked for a late checkout which wasn’t a problem at all. The staff was super friendly. We also liked that you could park your car there for free

the shower head… wouldn’t stay in the holder and the water pressure was too strong, the whole floor got wet.We booked the hotel because of the sauna and the spa. When we booked they said the spa is open but they didn’t mention the extra costs of 25€/h per person. Turned out they also had some issues with the sauna (would be nice to mention that in advance)
