    • Incredible I informed I would be arriving late at night to which hotel informed me that their reception would be closed but I could retrieve hotel and room key from a small vault at entrance. No problem, but when I tried to use this electronic card the door would not open!! I called their help line and after trying several things the reply from them was they had to send someone. This person turned up one hour later, whilst I was standing in the freezing cold. Finally 1,5 hours later after arriving to hotel I could get in my room. Next day getting up early to get to my meeting, wanting to take shower and forget about the bad experience of the previous night , but to my surprise both soap and shampoo expenders were drier than the Sahara . Overall very bad experience

Location, staff, so is so a good experience! After the good breakfast I can cycle back to Leeuwarden!

    The location.

The service at the reception could have been a bit more welcoming. We had booked for two people, yet there was only one blanket. When we asked for another, the receptionist provided it but mentioned we should call next time, which felt a little unusual. A warmer attitude would have made the experience much nicer. Also, the walls are quite thin — you can clearly hear people talking or even snoring in the next room, which makes it difficult to rest.

The room was big and cozy.

The staff was rushing you and sometimes made it seem complicated. The bathrooms were not clean. The sink had yellow stains and rust. The shower water was leaking, therefore the floor was always wet.

Some of the staff were very nice and accommodating, doing their best to fulfill our requests (like getting an ironing board). In addition, the location is beautiful.

Parts of the staff were rude and treated the customers like the enemy. Not only were they rude but they also lied when they didn't know (such as whether the hotel had an ironing board). In general, the whole hotel felt like it was barely functioning. Despite ordering extras (such as breakfast, which is not included in the price) directly through their website and getting a confirmation email, the extras weren't added to my booking. The hotel styles itself as a wedding location but despite this, there is only one iron and ironing board in the whole hotel. Hair dryers had to be borrowed from the reception. The room was poorly cleaned, and after the first day, we had to ask a second time for them to finally empty the one trash bin that wasn't completely full. To get a cot for the room, we had to pay extra. It was a small amount, but they didn't put any mattress in it. All in all, everything with the room required extra effort from our side. There is a restaurant at the hotel, and the food was quite decent. However, we had to wait for the main course for roughly 45 minutes before it arrived, and we were not the only ones with that problem. The vegetarian burger was dry, and they didn't bring us the wine we ordered, but they did still charge us for it. To sum it all up, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Beautiful location and the room was spacious and nice. People were friendly and the parking is good.

We arrived late in the evening and there was no receptionist. We needed to take our key from a locker next to the door. It worked out, but it did make us a bit nervous. I had higher expectations for the breakfast buffet. It was fine, but price-quality not a good balance.

The service was very good from the staff. The location and surrounds were nice and good breakfast.

Beds and pillows were below par.Shower screen wasn't large enough, meant water over the floor in bathroom. Not enough shelving in bathroom as well. Quite disappointing for a large chain of Hotels.

The property is clean, tidy and very peaceful. Breakfast was really good also! The location is great for keen cyclists or walkers, villages all around for dinner and shopping. Customer service in the hotel was great too, lovely people.

    nice location in nature

the smalles rooms are the cheapest, but still expensive. They are under the roof, so very hot in summer. Even cant sleep from the heat. As usual, mostly no airco in europ.

The location is spacious. In a pretty environment and quiet . You can have a good walk around the property. A good place to bring your dog with you.

It is hot.. the fan is not enough to cool down the room. We reserve a room with two single bed but got a confirmation of a double bed. There were no staff available that we can talk to
