Hotel La Carruba

I stayed two nights in the Carruba hotel , my experience was excellent.Marco the owner is very helpful person , reliable.I highly recommend this hotel , i had a wonderful staying

The owner was just adoeable. So incredible nice and kind. He made sure we had an exellent stay from we arrived to we left. First we got see view, even we had only paid for back view. We were so thankful becase it is incredible to sit in the evening to see the sea. This is only first of more things that he did that made us feel like spesial guests. The placement of the hotel is ecellent , just nearby the sea. We just loved the place. The hotel also has a spectacular art zoo garden, with all kinds of big animals made in steel and sement. I have newer seen amything like it.. it was just amazing!

All straff was nice, We just loved our stay, and look forward to come back!

I highly recommend staying here if you want to experience traditional Calabrian living. The hotel is a family run business and Pino, Marco and Marzia could not have been more welcoming and willing to go above and beyond to make my stay as wonderful as possible. They were so warm and friendly - I felt like I was visiting family. The room was very comfortable and clean and only a few minutes walk from the beautiful beach. There is a wood-fired pizza oven right there on the premises and Marco whips up some yummy pizzas. I’d love to go back to Cetraro one day and when I do, I’ll definitely be staying here again. Loved it.

Hotel is old and needs a refurbishing to reach a 3-star of today's standards. Breakfast was not included unlike other hotel options equivalent in price and in the locality. Staff is otherwise very nice and friendly.

Nice hotel for one night staying on our trip to Sicily. Dinner at hotel restaurant was delicious and for very good price. Very nice hotel yard with interesting statuetes of animals.Free parking.Beach is approx 10min walking from hotel, but didn't used it.Best wishes to owners of this hotel, we met them and they are very welcoming and nice people!

The staff, in particular the head chef, were fantastic and very welcoming. Extremely friendly and spent time to give recommendations for food and local area. Food in restaurant was excellent. Location of hotel was very easy to find and close to main routes. Only a few minutes walk away to the sea and a quiet and secluded beach.

The owners are amazing and very friendly.They helped us with everything we needed and made us feel welcome. They are very honest people. The food was exceptional. Thank you for going out of your way to help us with the extra things we needed to make our stay successful!

Didn't have breakfast, location behind the railway line, not very near to the beach.

Hotel main doors were locked, no one to be seen at 4pm when I arrived. I was informed that the restaurant closed at 8pm. I went to the restaurant at 6:45pm and was given a bottle of tap water. After 25 minutes, still no menu and was totally ignored. I was the only person in the restaurant. After 30 minutes I got up and left. No food at all that evening. Woke up in the morning, no breakfast was even set up, so I checked out and left. The catering facilities were abysmal and actually non existent during my stay. I will never, ever stay there again. Staff were pleasant but that's not good enough.

like many coastal hotels it’s close to the main road and railway so expect some traffic noise

Had a most pleasant 2 night stay. The owners are very very kind and hospitable. Nice room, with balcony and chairs facing towards the sea. Strong Wifi. Pleasant interior decor. The dining experience was excellent. Two evenings with delicious seafood pastas, ended with a glass of home made finocchietto liquor.

The room facing the sea also face the main road and the railway, so some traffic noise is inevitable.
