Grand Hotel San Michele

The private beach was incredible! The elevator to get there was out of order, but the nice owner gave us a ride there and back!

11/10. No notes. The beach & beach restaurant are exceptional. I’ve never experienced warmer hospitality. How is it possible they make you feel like family after just a few days? The most perfect food & setting. Unspoiled old word charm that is now few and far between.

Almost everything, the evening meals were exceptional!

On our first day, a wedding was underway, which limited our access to various areas. The christening the following day gad considerably less impact. The lack of public transport.

I am in love with this beautiful hotel and the people who run it. The whole staff is lovely, very welcoming, everyone speaks very good English and they can't do enough to make your stay a lovely experience. Although it's a big hotel, you are made to feel special and welcome, as if you are coming home, so inviting and relaxed. Nothing is too much trouble and they see to your every need.The hotel itself is just magical, the grounds are breathtaking, with a beautiful view of the coast and its own private beach with lovely facilities where you can shower after your swim in the beautiful clear sea and then have a wonderful lunch in the little restaurant directly on the beach. The food served by the hotel is based on the produce from their own organic farm, I had absolutely no problems at all with my stomach while I was there. The restaurants command views of the sea and coast: it felt just wonderful to dine outside under the stars.I can't wait to visit again and highly recommend San Michele as a place to relax, regenerate and nurture your soul.

We had the most wonderful stay. Everything was incredible.. The beach, the food, the views. The staff were so helpful and friendly.

Beautiful building set high above the sea. Friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurant both in the hotel and by the beach.

Breakfast was good but the same every day. It would have been nice to have a little variety.

some things aren’t perfect but that is part of the charm.

The property is very quiet in a natural setting. Very easy to lounge around with a book, forget about the whole world.

We came a little off season and we couldn't use the pool. The internet kept dropping out. The room heater was out of order.

Tried to give us an inferior standard room outside of the hotel. Had to complain to get a nice room inside the hotel

Elegant and beautiful building and gardens. Attentive and friendly staff. Golf course in beautiful setting with olive and orange trees and vineyards and ocean views. Great breakfast, lunch and dinner. Highly recommended hotel. We will definitely return.
