Pros +
- Staff is helpful and kind. There’s a place to store your ski gears. It’s a ski in ski out hotel.
- View was great. Food was good. Facilities were good.
- The only positive thing was the restaurant staff, who were very kind and friendly.
Cons -
- The location is quite bad. Although they have a quite huge open parking, the road going to the hotel is narrow and uphill and full of snow on the sides. The room is extremely small. Wont work for 2 people staying in the 15sqm ones. Get the bigger room if more than 1 person. The breakfast buffet can be improved because it has very few selections. Wifi becomes slow at night. Cant even load a short video properly. We left the “please clean the room sign” and it wasn’t cleaned at all.
- Location is a car drive away from the hub of activity. Staff are poorly trained. I went to reception to ask a question. Receptionist was on a call and just ignored me after waiting 10 minutes I left without being helped. Wait staff didnt know if they had orange juice or not. On check in our room was not ready but we were given the key and were surprised when we opened the door and the room was not ready. The second room was set up as twin and we requested double. We gad to wait over an hour to get into the room. At dinner we ordered 4 items from the menu. They did not have 3 of the things we wanted and had to settle for something different. The wine we wanted was also not available and had to settle for something different. My daughter asked for mayonnaise, it arrived after we finished eating and they still added the cost to the bill. We asked for slices of lemon for our water but it never arrived after asking three times.
- Unfortunately, our stay at Alpina Hotel in Gudauri was very disappointing. The rooms are extremely small, and the twin beds are very small and uncomfortable. There is no proper wardrobe or bedside table, only a few small drawers and shelves for storage.Cleanliness was poor — the hotel is not clean, the shower was leaking, and there was no trash bin in the room. Even after requesting one, we were told they don’t have any.Basic amenities were missing. Toothbrushes were only available for an extra charge, and the towels we received were dirty, which is unacceptable. In addition, the hotel is far from the ski area and there is no shuttle service. We had to take a taxi every time, which was expensive.

Good hotel with ski-in ski-out access, the room was great, friendly staff
- The ski access to the slopes can be quite difficult for complete beginners- Quite far from all the restaurants, though taxis are available- The road leading to the hotel is not always cleared, so you may have to walk the last part to reach the hotel- Slow service at the restaurant- Breakfast was sometimes a bit disappointing
The room was perfect even for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). Nice view from the room and from the open terrace, specially at night, you can see the stars very clearly. As requested, extra bed was ready for us when we checked-in to the room. Amazing breakfast prepared exclusively for us. My kids enjoyed the sports room (free access). I would love to stay again here.
Nothing to complain.
The location, comfortable amenities, extremely friendly staff and excellent food. The quietness of the place and relaxing atmosphere made my stay exceptionally pleasant.
Cool ski in & out, welcoming staff, nice breakfast and value for money experience overall.
Good breakfast, friendly staff.
Farther from nightlife than would have preferred.
The staff was amazing The receptionist are so nice and polite And the bar staff were so friendly especially Nika he’s the best
The room wasn’t clean And I felt like that there is gap between the receptionist and the housekeeper staff.
The staff at Alpina is incomparable to any other hotel in Gudauri, very friendly we felt welcomed, well serviced and safe in the snow storm. From the receptionists to the Bar and Restaurant staff like Daniel who is always smiling, respectful and very professional! If we will ever come back to Gudauri we will definitely choose Alpina.
The rooms are perfectly cleaned but we wish we had more space especially for the skiing season.
Nice staff very clean room and amazing food
Location was a little far from main areas and taxis around the area are expensive
Location is amazing with a great view, enjoyed the game room and facilities at the hotel
You will need a car to move around. Kitchen is open only from 4pm to midnight and the food selection is very limited
The hotel staff spoke very little English, but they were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a modern, well-designed bathroom. Breakfast was quite basic, and we were a little disappointed that on our last morning the restaurant had no milk available. On a positive note, the facilities were excellent, the game room was a lot of fun. The bar area was especially enjoyable, with comfortable sofas, a cozy fireplace, and food and drinks that were reasonably priced. Overall, a pleasant stay with great amenities.
On the downside, there appeared to be a shortage of staff, particularly room cleaning service. I stayed three nights at the hotel, and my room was not cleaned at all during my stay, which was disappointing.
The location is good and that is the only positive. The restaurant manager was really kind and helpful.
The food is cold and not great at all. The room was so disappointing. The price is so high yet our room was tiny with no balcony even thought we were told it had one and we paid a lot. The staff are unfriendly except for the restaurant manager. You ask for something at it takes ages to arrive. Our room didn’t even have pillows when we got inside. The room is also way too hot that we slept with the windows open.
The room was good, and the breakfast was outstanding. The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and pleasant.
Really nice place with very friendly staff who are always willing to help. The food was also great, especially the breakfast. We asked for something that wasn’t brought at first, and they immediately prepared it and brought it to us, such great service! They really care about their guests and always do their best, which is wonderful. The hotel also offers access to a pool and sauna at a nearby partner hotel. It was a bit far, but totally worth it, we enjoyed it very much.
The view from the hotel, the stuff, the breakfast.
There no chairs to seat at the balcony, no refrigerator at the room, no garbage can in the room.
The worst hotel experience you could ever have.
Everything. I don't even know where to start.the room is so cold, and the hotel in general wasn't heated, we asked the reception to turn on the heating in our room and she said that she can't do anything about it.the reception doesn't work full time, we were told that they have a restaurant and when we got there it was closed and the receptionist had to call the waiter so he could open up the restaurant so that means that there is no way that the food is fresh. basically the hotel is a big freezer with no proper staff, there is no safe in the room and its easily the worst hotel experience we have ever had.You would be better off sleeping on the sidewalk. And keep in mind that a normal car can't even reach the hotel because of the broken road.Basically you can get better rooms with better staff and a great restaurant in Marco polo hotel, which by the way has a pool and a spa.( we know that because we were sent there by the staff in alpina hotel, and we Basically spent all the day in marco polo that is heated by the way)
Room with a balcony, TV and a private bathroom. Toiletries and a hairdryer are included. Restaurant, and there is also a bar on site. The staff were super friendly with us.
They gave us free vouchers to go to Marco Polo Hotel spa for the day. That was great. They also have a fun entertainment room with billiards and ping pong. Breakfast was fabulous with lots of choices. In the evening they brought us a complimentary fruit tray. Best hotel out of the ones we stayed at in Georgia.
the road leading up to the hotel could use some work but that's pretty minor.the pillows weren't good but they got changed at reception without issues
