- I've stayed in many luxury hotels, but this one was miles ahead of them all. Our room was very large and had a beautiful view. It was also immaculately clean throughout our entire stay. The pool area was clean with stunning views, they brought us water by the pool each day.Breakfast was delicious, there was a large buffet and eggs cooked to order. It was also in a beautiful location on the balcony overlooking the river. We ate lunch at the hotel every day and it was also delicious, cocktails at the bar were enjoyable too. They had live music one evening but sadly we missed it. They have a small bus which takes you to/from Florence center throughout the day which was very helpful. Staff throughout the hotel were attentive and friendly. Despite a little rain, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I can't wait to visit again!

- The setting, and hotel were stunning!
Cons -
- Just a couple tiny points: I asked for a dinner recommendation in Florence but was given a book with about 30+ choices. A smaller list or personal recommendation would have been helpful. It would be nice for the hot foods at breakfast (sausage, bacon and potatoes) to also be cooked to order or kept warmer.

- Information regarding shuttle is difficult to find when making travel plans and is far from train station or airport. It also closes mid day for two hours.

We stayed at this hotel and absolutely loved our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome — kind, professional, and always ready to help. The view from our room was beautiful, especially in the mornings and evenings. The restaurant was excellent — not only was the food delicious, but the restaurant staff offered such warm, heartfelt care. They paid attention to every detail and made each meal feel special. The shuttle service was fantastic and made getting around easy and comfortable. Every service reflected real thoughtfulness and a touch of luxury. The atmosphere of the hotel was elegant, cozy, and full of genuine warmth. Extensive grounds and multiple buildings all well tended, decorated and well staffed.
Nothing we did not like.
TRANQUIL YET SO CLOSE TO THE CITY. STAFF AMAZING, SHUTTLE BUS AMAZING & GROUNDS EVEN AMAZINGER
THAT MY HOLIDAY HAD TO END !
Rooms were beautiful and immaculate, beautifully designed. The hotel itself was beautiful and with perfect Tuscany charm. Enjoying river view at every breakfast and sunset at dinner are perfect ways to start the day and wind down after a day of touring. Breakfast was good and the hotel prepared fresh fruit juices every morning and brought them to the table specifically for the guests (unlike some where fruit juices were just produced in bulk and placed on buffet bar table). Staff were attentive and joyful - happy staff happy place!Prior to our arrival we requested the hotel to make a few restaurant reservations and we were presented with a professionally prepared typed up letter with details of all the reservations. These are the little details that differentiate a true five star hotel from a mediocre one.We loved the place so much and it's by far one of the best 5 stars hotel we've stayed at.
Lovely friendly staff, great facilities, immaculately clean, attentive service, beautiful setting.
Beautiful property, really peaceful and quiet. Not too far from town and really clean and tidy.
We wanted to eat in the town for one of the nights but the free shuttle was already booked, so we had to eat at the hotel twice. Not a problem but would have liked to try elsewhere.
We really enjoyed the location of Villa La Massa, it’s perfect distance outside of downtown and reaching downtown via the shuttle makes life easy. The amenities we thought were great, especially hanging by the pool mid day; getting a pizza and drinks out there were fantastic.
I wish the shuttle would run past 11pm into town especially because most individuals eat a later dinner here. We had a fine dining reservation for an anniversary dinner at 930 pm which caused us to miss the last shuttle, and we ended up having to pay a taxi what I thought was an excessive amount for the 8 minute drive to the property.
From the moment we entered it was five star service. At checkin Adel, Tamara and Nicolo were very cordial. The views of the river and beautiful hills made it hard to look away. All of the resteraunt’s were excellent and especially the very lovely staff. I would especially like to thank Vasilis for his great food recommendations and conversation.
We have stayed at Villa La Massa previously and returned because it is an exceptional property in a unique location. It is a peaceful haven in close proximity to an historic city.
Everything. The rooms are spacious, elegant and luxurious. The grounds and pool area are very well kept. Excellent indoor and outdoor eating areas serving excellent food and beverages.
Amazing luxury wonderful staff amazing views lovely food excellent spa and gym
Beautiful & many old features kept even though the property had been modernized
Bathroom really big & light with show & separate bath tub & bidet & double basins, a lot of long mirrors in the dressing area so you could see back & side views
The place is amazing. The view is beautiful, the pool, the garden and room are super clean. Food is great. Even the burger was top level. The room is cleaned and organized twice a day. They offer shuttle to the city (Florence).
A bit expensive
Villa la massa was amazing, the staff went above and beyond with their level of service. The restaurants were both very good, breakfast each morning overlooking the river was fabulous. The spa therapist gave a wonderful massage and facial. The chef came out each day to ask everyone if they enjoyed their meal. The hotel rooms are gorgeous, the bathrooms were spacious, everywhere is absolutely spotless. The pool area was very well maintained, always someone to get you water, a towel. All the staff were just so friendly.
Unfortunately for most of the days it’s just fine dining on offer, we enjoyed the fine dining restaurant but don’t really want that four days in a row. The more casual restaurant was only open one of those days and it was empty. There’s nowhere to walk to so you do need a car to reach somewhere more relaxed. The spa area allowed small children to jump in and out of the jacuzzi, scream and shout, I went for a spa treatment, arrived early to relax but sadly I had to leave with all the noise. I asked the staff if there was another area but was told outside might be quieter ( it was 36 degrees) . When I went back at the time of the treatment the children were leaving. In all the 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in it simply wouldn’t be allowed, a spa is for relaxation, you are paying €125 for a massage and shouldn’t have to listen to screaming, there is an outdoor pool for that type of behaviour. Don’t think that it’s going to be a complete tranquil haven as there were many very loud family’s and children staying so around the pool was pretty noisy, balls and frisbees flying about. I’d left my children with my parents as I didn’t think it was really a holiday for kids.

Beautiful property great customer service
The price for a glass of wine $37 very expensive food and wine
the property was pretty but very small.
The staff was kind but no one showed us a tour of the spa facilities, so we never got the opportunity to use hot tub, gym etc. even though we stayed for four nights.
