Hotel-Restaurant Zum Schwalbennest

This is a small place that doesn't get a lot of foreign tourists and where there isn't that much English spoken. Really appreciated how the team took care of us, even if we couldn't speak with some of them! Particularly grateful of flexibility when we discovered that we'd booked the wrong dates and were leaving earlier than stated.

Location was great. Nice German feel to it.

Room very basic and boring, but i wasnt looking for anything else so it's ok.

Rooms were very clean, comfortable and a very quaint hotel

I would say that the accommodation was clean and the staff very kind.

Fairly speaking, I asked the receptionist to give me a room on the first floor where the internet works well. Still, I don't know if they were having it or not, and in the end, I got it on the second floor where the internet wasn't working a bit I had some office meetings as well and it turned into a disaster. Secondly, so many people were going around and making noise, breaking the silence at night.Lastly, the room was quite good but it was really hot and there wasn't any way for air to pass.

Quirky hotel. Newly renovated. Friendly. Good breakfast. Mattresses and toppers good.

No hooks in bathroom for towels, clothes. Drinking glasses too small. New shower doors didn’t stop water spilling. Could have a few spare pillows.

Accommodation was good but room was so small with roof.

Previously, I had a stay there it was good but this time it was not good because there was a restaurant within the building and I was smelling food all the time which is not good for any traveler. Also, room was too small and there was no access to the internet to the floor which is very frustrating.

Staff, room and breakfast were good.

Foyer and corridors could do with some update and lifts need a repair.

Great place to stay. 5 minutes walk from the old town. Staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean. Good choice for breakfast at the buffet. The hotel has a fantastic beer garden that also serves great value for money food.

No air con . But we knew that when we booked it. Noticeable when we were there because it was very hot. Maybe a fan in the rooms would be good. But that's all..

Location was good, but everything is pretty close in Alsfeld if you're driving.The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the food at the restaurant / beer garden was great too.My room was large and comfortable, and very quiet.The free wifi was fast and reliable.

No complaints really, but the room tended to get a bit warm at night (weather was hot)The door key was sometimes a bit fiddly.

we booked at the last minute and arrived quite late. The check-in was very quick to allow us to eat

I am sure the staff worked beyond their hours to accommodate us

Nice hotel with a soul. Big plus for an outdoor/ indoor restaurant which serves huge portions of very tasty food. Room was comfortable, bathroom clean.

Good place, good breakfast, comfortable beds and clean. Nice Biergarten.

The hotel was near Alsfeld city. Very good breakfast. Nice restaurant and beergarden outside the hotel.

Hotel was little bit old and shower was little dirty.

The staff were amazing

There was no tea/coffee facilities in the room.I was with someone mobility impaired, on the 3rd floor and the lift broke.

Location was all right.

I had to wait for some time for the service at the check-in and I didn't get any smile or apologies for this. Otherwise perfect service.

Stayed one night on route to Chamonix. Nice and comfortable. Seems to be a favourite place for bikers, a little noise from traffic outside but did not bother us too much. Nice restaurant that was quite busy during our stay but service and food was very good.,

Location, we we’re traveling through Germany and it was one of the options when we needed to stop for the night. For the same reason, it was nice that there’s a restaurant in the hotel. Good food and lots of options for dinner, including several vegetarian entrees and appetizers. The breakfast buffet was also good, with a variety of typical European food such as cured and regular ham, various cheese, jam and butter, bread and pastries as well as yogurt, fruit and cereal. Milk, juice, coffee and tea. Hot items included meatballs and scrambled eggs

The fitness center was dirty and the equipment was old (although in working order). Staff was friendly but quite slow, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. The only dinner service was outside in the beer garden, where a lot of - if not most of - the people were smoking.
