Everything Even room main door was not closing properly with clocks. Nobody to help with wifi intercom wasn't working heater wasn't working in short shitty place from safety perspective

Very clean and great location

The AC did not work

Location is very convenient. Smack in the middle of the town. Working fridge. Daily cleaning. Nice staff. You get what you pay for.

Bed linnen was dirty the first night. Bedbugs not making it easier for me. Badtowels in need to be replaced. Some of them were getting greyish when they were white originally. Rooms are not soundproof so neighbors can hear you and you can hear them

The only thing we liked is the renovated bathroom.

Day 1: Upon arrival, we were placed in a room without functioning air conditioning during warm weather. A small fan was provided, which did little to alleviate the heat. Additionally, extensive renovations were taking place on the ground floor, both inside and outside. Starting at 8:00 AM each morning, we were woken by loud drilling and construction noise—making rest impossible.Day 2: We discovered multiple bed bug bites on both our bodies, clustered in specific areas. The bites were severe enough that I had to seek medical treatment. I documented the bites with photographs and showed them to the receptionist, who also took pictures. A quick search on Google Maps revealed that another guest had reported a similar bed bug issue just four months ago, indicating a recurring infestation. I immediately requested to be moved to another room.Day 3: In the new room, the sheets and pillows had not been replaced, we had to request fresh linens ourselves. Basic supplies like toilet paper were not replenished, and the towels provided were rough and limited to just two per person. The room itself was in poor condition, with visible cracks in the walls and an extremely cramped layout. Aside from the shower area, which appeared recently remodeled, the rest of the room was far below acceptable standards. In my opinion, this hotel does not merit even a one-star rating.This experience not only caused physical discomfort but also emotionally impacted our holiday. If needed, I am prepared to share photographic evidence of the room conditions and the bed bug bites.Day 4 / End of Stay: Despite the ongoing issues, I was unable to secure a refund for the booking and, unfortunately, could not arrange alternative accommodation. Left with no viable options, my wife and I had no choice but to remain at the hotel until the end of our stay, deeply dissatisfied and disappointed. On google maps you find more people complaint about bed bug bites.

Third year in a row that we are staying at Cataleya in Almere. Great small city near Amsterdam, very easy to get there from the airport. 5 minutes walk from the train station and very well situated in a commercial area. Prices are well lower than what one would normally pay for this location.

Good bed. Nice TV. Strong location. Friendly staff.

Mould on hair dryer. Shower leaking water onto bathroom floor from underneath. Broken socket next to my head. Dirty walls. Bad quality body gel/shampoo. No air conditioning remote.

No daily cleaning, the room was small, no desk for work

The location is nice.

It was beyond dirty.- There was urine on the toilet sear.- The floor was sticky- The main light didn't work.- There were 1000 flies in our room, it was so gross. Behind the curtains, in the shower, on the wall, everywhere.- The refrigerator didn't work.- The staff didn't allow us to change rooms despite what we told them.- The lightning in the shower was not bright enough.- Black stains on the wall everywhere. Probably from killed flies.It was so bad, I got goosebumps the entire night and didn't want to touch the floor with my feet.

Good location as it is in the city center of Almere and close to public transport. There are lots of shops and restaurants around.

The room is very small. Hardly have space for a large luggage. The clubs nearby have musics thru late in the night on weekend so you’ll expect quite some noise.

5 min walk from Almere central stn in the main square. loads of restaurants & bars outside the hotel. Beatrix parkrun 15 min walk.amsterdam central 20 mins by train staff were helpful.room was clean

Don't book it!

1. The cleaning lady stormed into our room, without even knocking. She saw we're inside and just casually left without saying a word. When we told the reception what had happened, they just said, “Well, she doesn't speak English”. How is this relevant with her not knocking? 2. Dirty room3. Very noisy in the morning, don't count on a good sleep. The stuff was being too loud since very early in the morning and doors were banging constantly.4. Since we could hear everything, every morning with no exception, at 11:05 the stuff would go to any room that hadn't checked out yet and would almost kick them out. They were very rude.5. Located in the central square, a pretty loud area until late at night.6. Hot water takes ages to start running.

Hotel was nice and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was near metro and city center.

Room was very small and heater didn't work well

Deluxe room size is fine. Bathroom is good. Bed was pleasant with a nice mattress.Location is great and direct trains to Amsterdam Centraal and Schiphol Airport are great.Staff was really polite and we didn't ahve any issues.

If you have loud neighbours - you will hear everything. We were lucky and had neighbours only on one night.It was a bit cold even with Climate Control turned on.Other than that there are not a lot to complain about especially for this price.There are a lot of restaurants nearby, but almost all of them are closed early, so we planned our breakfast in Amsterdam.

the staff and the place very pleasant

The walls were not very well insulated acoustically, we could hear a lot of people next to us even if they were just talking.

All fine. Hotel located at the edge of main square in Almere and just five minutes on foot from railway station. Under normal circumstances train brings you to Amsterdam Centraal in 25 minutes. Compared to Amsterdam, prices are much lower at Almere. The room was spacious and bright - nothing to complain at.

Next coffee shop - if somoone doesn’t like smell of marihuana is everywhere, by shower water was not hot and they didn’t on and didn’t tell me about airco - it was so cold first night at the room. Small room - no chair. Terrible curtains.

Bad

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. My mobile phone and other belongings were stolen from my room, and unfortunately, the hotel management provided no assistance whatsoever. I believe the staff might have been involved, but my concerns were completely dismissed. I felt unsupported and unsafe. I do not recommend this hotel due to the unhelpful management and the untrustworthy environment
