Hotel Zugertor

Hotel was an 6 minute walk from the train station. My room had a balcony which was a bonus and the bathroom had a heated floor.

Although my room had a kettle, tea bags or coffee wasn't provided because I didn't book a premium room and breakfast didn't start until 7am, 8am on the weekends. I understand not everyone is an early riser.

Great hotel, about 7 minutes walk from the train station. Good and comfortable room. Shower was also amazing. Staff were super friendly.

Only one pillow in a queen bed. Breakfast was good but I was not informed I could order eggs. Juices were also not fresh.

Very nice cosy hotel, rooms spacious and clean. Reception was very welcoming. Also, they have a restaurant which is highly recommend, fine food and fine service, we had a great stay.

Comfy and quiet rooms, pleasant ambience, ample breakfast options, and right by the bus line to the lake (runs every 15 min and takes just a few minutes to get there). Extra touches like a freezer stocked with ice cream you can buy, guest umbrellas, and towels you can grab on your way to the lake made for a great stay!

Very friendly staff. Great food at the restaurant. Great location (a 15-minute walk to the center or 5-minute bus ride). Nice and clean rooms.

The room was too warm, no possibility to turn the temperature down.

The Hotel was fine, just really overpriced! And we still had to pay extras for parking the car + children tax upon arrival, on a already very expensive value per night.

Breakfast had no eggs available and when I asked for some no more were brought out. So, no hot option for me as I don't eat meat.

The location, close to Zug train station very convenient.Cute hotel, we were upgraded to a larger room.Theres nothing really not to like. Just book this, we did our research and you really wont get a better value room with car parking and close to the station in Zug!!

They forgot to add extra set of towels for 2, only had 1 set for the two of us. Most likely due to the sudden upgrade. So not an issue we got a set pretty much straight away.

Great staff, allowed me to check in a bit earlier. Bed very comfortable and clean room

I might be wrong but I didn't see sockets next to the bed so I had to use the one next to the desk

Location just a tiny bit far from centre but excellent free transportation so really no problem at all.

Really nice, convenient hotel with wonderful rooms. Given the price relative to other options, I was expecting much lower quality. We arrived late due to air delays and checkin was no issue. Parking spot was right out front.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel location a 10min walk max from station. Helped us with the free local transport offer with buses every 15mins. Also free Lake Cruise which we took up (£40 per person otherwise). Just remember every journey (boat or bus for example) you take on the app you have to select which family members are travelling on that particular occasion - each person needs a virtual ticket for each trip.Hotel had great air con , spotlessly clean, superb breakfast included, and triple glazing so no road noise when windows shut.Lovely and breathtaking area - went to harbour a few times which is stunning. Obviously expensive area in general as you would expect but well worth it. Local shopping centre was great too. Went up Mount Pilatus - great experience on the train and cable cars.
