Best Western Nya Star Hotel

Nice older hotel. We stayed one night during a layover to a destination wedding. We stayed 1 night

I don't know what was going on but the seagulls were right out our window all night. It sounded like cats fighting every 5 minutes. Our view was of the flat roof, a square where the rooms were around. My adult kids were on the other side of the square. They were totally fine, just wanted to be closer to hang out some. The staff is very kind

Great breakfast with many healthy small creations, and shots - apart from the usual stuff. Brilliant heating containers for egg and bacon. Unusual and cost/appealing setting w huge panorama windows.

Very friendly personel - brilliant breakfast In before I had a look to comments about the hotel - and I was thats why not sure about the choice.But now I can say - also when it is partly not a very mondern hotel ...It is nice to stay there - in relation to the pepole etc. And it was a very good choice and we will come back !

Only as remark - for sauna (bastu) you have to do a reservation - but that works fine ...

The hotel feels like a strange little time capsule from the 1980s - although everything is clean and in good condition. I found the room perfectly adequate and really quiet. Great location in the centre of town with a shopping centre right underneath and other shops and restaurants a short walk away.One thing that came a little bit as a surprise is that the breakfast was really impressive with plenty of choice of fresh and tasty food.

My room could have done with more lighting at night.

Hotel is not worth this price.

Location is in the center, but very difficult to find the entrance. The door was locked. The hotel is not cozy - dark and with low ceilings. Breakfast is meager.

Bad, dirty and have not been renovated for a long time.

The breakfast had no lactose free alternatives, oat yogurt. The location is central but har to find the entrance. No one at reception, had to make a call. The room was small and dirty. A lot of spider webs dust on the ceiling on the floor. The toilet, sink and shower was covered in lime deposits. The toilet had not been flushed. The pillows need to be changed all lumpy. No pen or notepad. No staffing later then 9pm. I cannot recommend this hotel and will not return.

Hotel has a very good location in the city center. Breakfast buffet had a nice variety and everything was fresh. Friendly staff.

Room wasn't clean on arrival. A lot of noise coming in to the room from the corridor and other rooms.

COVID-19 restrictions in the cleaning of the room. Sweden has no restrictions about COVID-19 since 7th February but the hotel has no cleaning facilities because of the pandemic even the 25 February! six nights in the same room without cleaning service. the previous week I was in Mora, same landstighet but there was daily cleaning service.

Ok bed. Friendly staff. A decent (borderline good) breakfast. Located rather near a (free) parking space.

A bit hard to spot, needed to use Google maps to find location (no big "BW" visible from afar). Reception desk not located by the entrance, but one stair up. Room with obviously old and worn interior, poor ventilation (whole room fogged up in the morning), cables hanging lose from the TV, light switches not working (not connected to anything?), shower compartment glass doors seems to just have been taken down from the frame and replaced by a cheap generic curtain. Certainly not worth 120 EUR per night! I would roughly value the experience at 65-70 EUR.

The staff were kind and helpful and the breakfast was to die for.

Nothing special with this hotel, it served my needs.The selection of food for the evening was far too expensive for the limited selection and the quality.
