- The room was a bit funky, it was a great size, but the drain smelled. My favorite infrared sauna was not working.
- Hi. You wrote that you would like feedback. I often review trips and have specials in the Harz. Hereby, I would like to give you feedback. In general, the staff is friendly, but they have difficulty with English and therefore there are major misunderstandings. In general, in my review, I will dump the hotel despite it having good facilities. The price is too expensive overall for the room, parking, breakfast and taxes from the city. Compared to other hotels in the Harz, I experience incredibly poor rooms where it is quiet. The breakfast buffet was small because you pay about 20 euros. I experienced a misunderstanding about parking. An employee knew I had a parking space and I was charged more for parking in the price. Here, the hotel should have shown itself to the customer nicely and paid the remaining amount. The staff is friendly but would rather avoid the customers. The rooms were very quiet from the traffic outside, to the neighbors. The overall assessment that comes in my review of the hotel is a poor grade. This is the worst experience I have had in the Harz so far in 10 years. The hotel is particularly poor on the total price for a stay. compared to other hotels which are also in Bad Harzburg and Goslar. I recommend that Danes stay away. My recommendation to the hotel is that you give a total price package from the start so that customers can see through your hotel price. The hotel should be there for the customers, but it doesn't work like this.

Cocktails at the bar were not the best ones
We liked the spa, the pool was at a good temperature and was a nice size for the 10 or 12 people who were there with us. Any more would have been difficult. The saunas were amazing. Breakfast was exceptional, although a little pricey. The staff in the restaurant were really friendly and helpful.
The mountain view was not what we imagined it would be. It was literally that the hotel was built on the side of the mountain and the view was of a clump of trees and dirty flat roofing. The first night my sleep was disturbed as it was freezing cold. We discovered the radiator for the second night, which was better. However, a thicker duvet and more blankets would have helped. The pillows were uncomfortable.
It is nice cozy property , good bus connection, big and clean rooms . Pool and spa facilities are excellent
-the sauna services were excellent and definitely exceeded expectations -the swimming pool was rather lovely as well -the room were well managed and clean -the staff was courteous and friendly and actually cared about our feedback
Nothing to complain about here!
It was a very calm environment. Perfect for resting. You were able to declare that you don’t wanna be distrubed during the stay and have privacy in your room which worked pretty well. For not getting room service you got a free water. It was quiet during the night and the room was comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and perfect for vegans as well. We were surprised. There is a private entrance to a hike trail on the property of the hotel and you are able to join a guided walk on some days. Free water and apples all day. We went during christmas and the decorations were very cute too.
The pool is not separated from the spa area, so people are walking through the room every time they are trying to get to a sauna or spa activity and a lot of people were resting next to the pool which can be intimidating if you just wanna go for a swim and not into the spa. On Saturdays there is a party which can lead to people being less mindful when coming back to their room later in the evening.
Quiet room facing towards the woodland. Very accessible by public transport. Good starting point for hikes or longer walks. A positive note would be that the hotel noted the room issues and supposedly delisted the room from use.
Careful, the bathroom (1980s decor) had black mould in the shower and certain parts of the bathroom and the room weren't cleaned. Especially areas which are only reached with a bit of effort (behind doors, underneath furniture, etc.) weren't quite sorted out.
Excellent staff very friendly and helpful. Facilities are very good and clean. Rooms are comfortable. Very good value for money.
Tea in the room wpuld have been good not a coffee drinker
room and spa saunas
parking is an issue
The staff were incredibly friendly and affable. They were comfortable speaking English. The location is beautiful. The amount of thought that was put into the ergonomics of the hotel is astounding. Even a hallway is a beautiful lounge with comfy sofas and great decor. I just was so impressed with the love and thought that was put into this place. Furthermore, The amount of activities within the facility were beyond any expectations. So many different lounge areas to cool down after sauna, each beautiful, comfortable, and unique. There were so many sauna rooms with a temperature for every comfort level and even in different locations throughout the ground, all clean and well maintained. A really nice swimming pool... Just not enough can be said about this place. I think it's worth mentioning that the food was average but i wouldn't say it's a deal breaker at all considering how close you are to many good locations to eat. I will undoubtedly visit again and again, i really loved the experience. I'm really impressed with the hotel and have already recommended it to my friends and family.
This is hard to fill out because these things I will mention have to be taken in context and the truth is did not in any way whatsoever detract from my or my wifes experience. (I wouldn't even necessarily say i disliked them outright, but don't know where else to mention them.)The rooms are laconic in nature, and it's actually a really good thing. They provide you with what you need. A bed, a clean shower that works well, and... not much else. Truthfully, I respect that decision because you should not be staying in your room. The entire hotel is your "room." That's the feeling i got at least. The room is just where you sleep and shower, so the decision making to not overdo it on the bedroom is truly the right call. Then there is the obvious one to anyone who has seen. The outside of the building, there is a quadrant of it that's quite ugly and wasn't present in any of the photos. When driving to the location with my wife, (i had booked this hotel as a gift to her for her birthday and she didn't know about anything in advance,) when I saw the building I said out loud that i hoped that i hadn't booked this hotel... it is that bad. So not showing it in the photos of the location is a really good idea because i likely wouldn't have booked it if i had seen that. Furthermore, I talked about it with a staff member and they know how it looks and are planning a renovation in the near future.
nice location, room, spa.

It was a perfect short stay in proximity to the Therme and the main areas of the town in a cosy hotel which surprised us with excellent own spa facilities and easy adjacent parking. Very friendly and effective staff, clean and nice rooms. Bathroom appears a little old-fashioned but still is functional.
The rooms facing the main road are a little noisy, quiet enough with the double window, but with open windows during the hot season difficult to sleep with. It was a little confusing to orientate oneself in the spa/pool facilities. (Slippers would be convenient with the bathrobes offered by the hotel.)
The location, swimming pool and sauna was really great.
The bathroom in the room was not really clean and it was so dark, and I felt trapped when I was in there.
My partner and I had a wonderful weekend at Harz Hotel & Spa Seela in Bad Harzburg. The hotel’s charming ambiance and exceptional spa facilities made our stay incredibly relaxing. The location was perfect for exploring the Harz mountains and local attractions. The breakfast and dining experience was superb, with a fantastic buffet selection. We highly recommend this hotel for a delightful and rejuvenating getaway.
The only issue we faced was that the bed and pillows were too firm for our liking.
Friendly stuff, clean, nice location.
Television at room 323 doesn’t working at all. We inform reception but they said that there is no one from technic to fix it. No signal for internet. Cold water at swimmingpool. Paid parking. Overprice.
Sauna and cosmetic services Staff at the reception ?Food ??
Could be better with sound insulation and wifi in the rooms
The location. Breakfast was good. Pool was a good size.Staff were very professional and friendly.
Room was very small and outdated. Funny smell. Spa area was far away from the room, having to walk through the restaurant with towels and bathrobe. The outside door for going around was shut by 7pm instead of 10pm as stated. Very frustrating.
Food - Dinner & Breakfast Very big Room Sauna & Swimming Pool
The breakfast was superb. Also the spa facilities were nice. The hotel is within walking distance of many great attractions and the city with many cafees.
The dinner at the hotel was nothing special. Also the staff was not so welcoming.
