    • Such a beautiful and calm place. There is warm welcome, help and good reachability of Wageningen amenities. Perfect as a calm base for further Netherland tris.
    • Exceptional

    Cons -

    • Last 2 times i didn’t like the toilet and shower. It’s for disabled people and maybe they should keep it for them.
    • poor night door service, broken room window to the extend that it could be open from outside while being asleep
    • The check in was completely chaotic. Only one employee for a long line of guests. It took half an hour to finally get to the room.

Fantastic view and location. Very comfortable beds.

It was disappointing to have asked for 2 single beds 19 weeks previously and for this nit to be taken into account. We couldn't be moved on the first day and had to push to be moved for subsequent days, which did then happen.Towels were thin and worn..could do with updating. No shampoo.Would be nice to have proper cups for coffee rather than paper cups in the rooms.Weak shower.

Nice location. The hotel and rooms having a modern interior.

Reception staff not really flexible and not even friendly. We arrived 45min. before the official check in, but the room was not ready, the receptionist not even offer to us to wait in the bar until the rooms are ready.I'm frequently traveling both business and private reasons - usually every month - , but some solution was always proposed by the hotel staff everywhere in Europe. One of the nights a party was in the hotel. We weren't informed about it, and when I asked the receptionist when it will end she told me 00:30AM. Its madness in a such 4 star hotel where many older people also stay. When I told her we weren't informed, she told us during the check in she informed us, which is a pure lie. Both my daughter and my self are not remember about any word from her about a party/event or something till midnight. The receptionist just handed over both card for the rooms and nothing else was mentioned by her.Such a behavior unacceptable from a 4 star hotel receptionist. The music was so loud that we could not sleep, the noise in the room of my daughters was extremely high, the cabintes and also the celing was extremely vibrating.Altough the party was known by the hotel I payed full price for the rooms upon arrival, but my disappointment cannot be compensated.Every morning the same breakfast, even it's a buffet breakfast few things are normal to be different day to day in a 4 star hotel. The bathroom cleaning and the small bugs - Silverfish - in both of our rooms are not usual in a 4 star hotel. The bed was too soft for me, but it could be comfortable for others.

We liked the lunch we had on our first day and the beverage selections were nice. Breakfast was delightful and very relaxing. We enjoyed walking each day and imagine the grounds are absolutely beautiful in the flowering seasons. It was a nice walk along the river and walk into the lovely town. It was great that the bus stop was close on the days we used it.

That we had only 5 nights to stay at your hotel and be treated so well by your lovely staff!!!

Stayed in October as well. As per previous review:Great view, (strangely) on a hill so the room had a really good view over the river and countryside. (enjoyed the sunrise)The hotel is situated in a forest which was pretty and good to take a walk in.Staff were friendly and helpful.Clean and stylish room.

    Abysmal - stay away

The people are not thinking with the customer, very bad experience. I hate the place&people. Before the arrival there was disconnected contact about arrival earlier. Nothing was possible, no other options given. I had to call them to hear there is a early check in. In my email I mentioned I would return late to the hotel due to a PhD defense and celebration. No heads up on how to get back to the hotel outside the city. When calling them at night they could send some numbers i.s.o. arranging the pick up by taxi. How do you handle a list of numbers via phone? Sending by email was also not possible. I had to walk from the centre to the hotel. It was not a happy stay. Due to less sleep (no taxi to hotel) I missed breakfast. They promised returning the fee, however have not received any money or confirmation about this. Furthermore, the lady behind the counter needed me to write down the bank account details, whereas, typing it over from my bank card she made it clear she was too good for. No hospitality whatsoever. I remember better service in hostels than at this place.

Nice, spacious room with a fantastic view over the river. No noise from outside or from other rooms. Breakfast was good with fresh fruits, fresh warm bread and pancakes and waffles as extras above the standard. Sufficient free parking. Possibility to make coffee and tea in the room.I have been in this hotel many times before and then it wasn't always so great, especially with the way the hotel was run, but things have improved a lot.

I know it's almost impossible to avoid, but there were silverfish in the room.

Lovely location next to forests. I recommend trying their dinner: very good quality and tasty options. The staff at the restaurant are lovely. The luxury rooms are spacious and overall comfortable.

The beds are too hard (I notified it but nothing could be done about it). Breakfast is average and not varied. Cleaning is not up to standard: I stayed three nights and my room wasn't vacuumed once (same bits on the floor), beds are only made but not aired (you can find the same hairs, etc., after). The toilet room smelled really bad when I arrived (of old dirt) and it wasn't mopped during my stay. Housekeeping also threw an expensive cream sample to the trash. The staff at reception are polite but disengaged (unless you're a Dutch tourist). The rooms are worn out/ needing updating and too expensive for the facilities they offer (only a all-purpose product for hands, shower gel and shampoo). It gets noisy at night if you're on the first floor and there is music playing until midnight or even later in the halls.

I appreciated the beautiful scenery and the modern interior design of the property. The breakfast was excellent—fresh, cozy, and enjoyable. I would also like to thank the staff for the thoughtful tea corner with ginger, lemon, orange, cinnamon, anise, and mint near the coffee and tea machine.

Unfortunately, my overall stay was disappointing. As a solo traveler, I did not feel welcomed, and I was not clearly informed about the hotel facilities. After paying extra for early check-in, the first room I received smelled strongly of smoke and had no telephone, making it difficult to contact reception. The second room was an improvement, but the safe did not operate properly, and no one was available to assist in person.Later in the day, I found that the bed sheets had not been changed, and I was told that housekeeping would only address the issue the next day. I also discovered that certain facilities advertised online—such as the spa—were not available. Only one staff member I encountered was genuinely helpful.Additionally, the entrance area was very dark at night, and as a solo traveler I did not feel safe walking there, so I had to rely on taxis from Wageningen station.

People friendly. And views and nice area

But waiting to be served and rooms not clean or getting cleaned.

    Location and the breakfast

We had a very uncomfortable rudimentary bathroom. Also on the morning we woke up to a power shortage meaning no lights in the bathroom and no TV. Management never apologised nor offered to make up as we had already paid ..
