Breakfast and dinner, limited food selection dor UK visitors, no breakfast cereals, no uk sausages or tomatoes or uk bacon so we wasted the meal money we paid and ate outside. Will not book food again.

Clean comfortable room good breakfast

The staff service was not very good, they dont help with luggage even though we had a lot of luggage and the elevator is very small and takes a long time to arrive. Their air conditioning was not good even in the lobby. The cleaning staff take a long time to get to the room to clean. I leave the room early morning have breakfast and go out for a short period and come back and they still havent started cleaning even though the cleaning trolly is outside my room.

Location was good. Nice view too and the pool was also relaxing. The gym was also higher quality in comparison to the rest of the facility. The outdoor seating also had a nice vibe. The bar had some nice drinks and food to offer. Staff and people were very kind! Just the hotel itself was disappointing.

Rooms were a 1/5. No slippers, bathrobes. Horrible low lighting. Safe was 3 EUR per day! For a 4 star hotel and the safe already being installed, this should be part of the money being spent. Very disappointed upon finding out about this. The rooms had hardly any furniture which made it very dull. The bathroom was really dull and boring too. No ambience, horribly low lighting and a shower door that does not extend. Parking - Super expensive than the rest of where we went to in Spain. Not part of the hotel and so you have to pay a lot for a few hours. Free parking alongside the road however. The lobby was deceiving showing a nice atmosphere with so much seating that was hardly ever used, and the rooms were a complete let down. A pool table or snooker table in a little corner would be a really nice idea.

A bit noisy outside at night

Wi-fi coverage was not good, it was failing all the time on my laptop. Also, it was the first time that an hotel charged me for the vault in the room. In my trip returning home we stayed in another hotel where the use of the vault inside the room was completely free.

I cannot fault this hotel at all. It was amazing from start to finish. The room was spotless and honestly the entire hotel was immaculate. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, always happy to help. Facilities were excellent and the pool + outside lounging area were fabulous. Breakfast each morning was gorgeous with plenty of choice. Would 100% recommend and definitely stay again!

Have stayed at the hotel several times, and as a spontaneous short break this came to mind. Booked due to availability however also have a family booking in May 2025.

Air conditioning at times a little temperamental. The introduction of breakfast times was useful, however we like the flexibility of overall personal choice.

The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Due to staying in a Barcelo hotel previously we were treated as VIP with extras. A nice touch. Room bright and clean.

Needs a lower powered light in the bathroom for night time use. Food not up to our last Barcelo hotel.

So clean , easy going, central.

Fabulous variety and quality of food for breakfast, spacious room, bathroom & balcony, immaculate pool & sun loungers, well serviced.

Some communication difficulties with staff, some information regarding laundry service unclear and some food orders forgotten.

Plus: Our room on high floor was nice and clean, comfy bed, modern clean bathroom with good power in the shower. Breakfast was good, but I can imagine very boring if staying more than 3 or 4 days. Minus: a charge of €3/day to use the in room safe is criminal! The tiny lifts were very very slow and often already full on arrival. The corridors were quite basic and bare. The minimally equipped gym was ok but treadmill wasn’t working and the leg press wouldn’t adjust so both were useless during our visit. We didn’t use the pool as the weather wasn’t really great, it did look well maintained though. The location along the sea front was good too.

Rude waitresses at breakfast trying to kick us as out as running late At breakfast. Rude bossy verbally not allowing us to enjoy our expensive paid breakfast. Another 4**** nearby which cost less than half price to stay at OccidentalFuengirola did not hurry late guests at breakfast and allowed them to enjoy their special breakfast & just cleared up & laid up other areas whilst allowing remaining later guests to eat at leisure even saying thank you on way out & not making us feel guilty or uncomfortable being later eaters.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff are friendly and helpful. The mattress was to soft and the pillows were awful.

Stayed in Junior Suite ,lovely space and great view of Beach. Balcony was great to sit out relax ,have a beer and glass of wine in evening before dinner,this what a holiday is all sbout.

Most comfortable bed and best shower I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. Staff at breakfast lovely. Reception staff need re-training on customer service and politeness though I’m afraid. On day of check out had a late flight. Reception area very noisy with large golfing groups so asked for a quiet space to do a conference call for two hours - two rooms off side of reception- which were free and not used whole 6 days there. Would not let me use unless paid 50 euro! Instead of acknowledging a noisy reception and making a customer happy and able to work whilst staying with them (having paid 1000 euros to stay already) the room stayed empty and I was furious.
