Decent stopping point when driving through Germany. Cloppenburg not too big or small. Parking good. Great place to sit out on a warm evening.

It's not the gourmet place suggested on the site. It's changed hands since then. Food average, wine below average. Beer choice not good.

We were only in town for the night, and did not have breakfast. Nothing to complain about with the room. We arrived with bikes, and was able to store them in a locked garage, which was great for us.

The Appartement was clean.

I would not recommend the restaurant (bernds bistro). It was not value for the money we spend. The facilities in the bathroom are from the last decade. The pictures are not showing the real property.

A simple small hotel, but very clean and perfect location. Breakfast was good. Ample parking lots.

There is nothing we did not like. If anything, a minor detail, a coffee machine in the room would have been great.

The only positive was the location.

The room had no coffee making facilities. The sink didn’t even have a plug! I paid for an apartment and was given a single room. The cost difference was £60 per night. I will be contacting and demanding a refund for the difference. The owner only understood English when it suited her. WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.

Helpful staff, beautiful apartment, decent bar downstairs, onsite free parking, delicious breakfast. Just the job!

Very well maintained family hotel, large rooms, confortable beds and armchairs, perfectly clean, large and spotlessly clean bathroom, two restaurants in the hotel (brasserie option, wine bar option), superb outdoor terrace for dinner, almost romantic, good overall decoration although very classical, nice welcoming staff, good breakfast, right in the center of the village (the main pedestrian shopping street starts in front of the hotel, free parking in the hotel (outdoor). All perfect

Bathroom is small and cramped. If you are mobility challenged you could have problems into the shower and getting out of it. The base is high and there are no grab rails. Check this when booking. Parking is limited and we just got the last space.

Late check in possibility. Staff was freindly.

Beds were awful. Tiny room.

The Hotel Manager on reception made us feel very welcome. She was particularly helpful and pleasant. The bed was very comfy.The room, bathroom and kitchen were spotless. If you are self catering there is a good supermarket 100 metres away. The breakfast was of a high standard and eggs were cooked to order. I would most definitely stay again. It was very good value. There was a lock up garage to store our bicycles safely overnight.

There was nothing not to like.

Room was a little cold (heater was provided but not easy to operate), pillows rather uncomfortable.

Really nice breakfast, environmentally friendly (not single use packages with e.g jam etc. A big family room.

Not very clean, no toilet paper in the room, last guest had forgotten clothes that the cleaning staff did not find.

Don't expect too much

Both the hotel and the restaurant are too pretentious. Instead of being a good 3-star hotel with clean towels and mighty breakfast, they are trying to be luxury while they have not enough financial means for it. As a result, you have to wait too long for the waiter at the restaurant, because there's only one waiter for the restaurant, the bistro and he's also the hotel receptionist at the same time. The black towels in the room were supposed to demonstrate the sophisticated taste, but the only use of the color was to match it to the black mold between the tiles in the bathroom (why not use white towels, just like everybody does? Those can be washed at the highest temperatures and give the guests a fresh and clean feeling. Mold in the bathroom is unhygienic for any hotel).And the list with this kind of things goes on. It’s just a lot of tiny details showing this accommodation is trying to be something which it is not, in the cheapest way.All in all, the place is OK to stay for a night if you do not have high expectations. But there are cleaner and more comfortable hotels in the area within the same price range.

Breakfast was very good. The upgraded room very spacy and good.

Rough start when nobody was to meet us although agreed on the phone that we arrive within one hour. Phonenumber did not answear either. Finally found staff and got the room (first was not cleaned). Upgraded so all ended well. But being tired after travelling for many days, it was a bit long waiting before we finally got a room (about 1 hour all-in-all).
