    Pros +

    • This is the place to stay in Sighet when visiting Elie Wiesel's boyhood home and museum, the Memorial to the Victims of Communism, or the Merry Cemetary in Sapanta. This is a beautiful, modern, newly renovated hotel with historical significance.
    • Beautiful hotel surounded by nature. Friendly staff and very good restaurant service and food.
    • Ease of check-in and check-out.

    Cons -

    • Room was skanky. While the bathroom may have been renovated in the previous 5 years, the main room had not been renovated most likely since the 1970s. The carpet was old and stained including a bleached stain near the bed. There was dim lighting. There was only 1 chair to sit on. The pillows were old and not pleasant to sleep on. The elevator prioritizes the 2nd floor so if you are on floor #1 with luggage to check-out, then you have to wait for everyone on the 2nd floor who want the elevator to go down first. Yes, I told the front desk.
    • No elevator between second and third floors. Was difficult with heavy luggageParking spots are limited
    • The portable A/C is not enough. It was too hot during the night in September. The service at the restaurant- everyone was very nice but the service was very very slow.

The location is good. The place is beautiful and the view is astonishing!

The portable A/C is not enough. It was too hot during the night in September. The service at the restaurant- everyone was very nice but the service was very very slow.

the room was big and comfortable. the balcony was facing a garden and mountains. stuff in the reception were very friendly and helpful. location is very nice (but involves a bit of walking from.the center, which I didn't mind)

no aircondition or cooler in the room. because there are no nets on the door leading to the balcony, if you open it because you are hot, mosquitos will go inside the room.there is no kattle in the room

The hotel is located in a park like setting. Very pretty. Our suite is huge. We had supper twice at the hotel’s restaurant and the food is very good. We enjoyed dining on the terrace overlooking the grounds.

The lighting in our room is very, very dim. It wasn’t enjoyable staying in our room. The carpeting in our room and in the hallways has stains. The elevator only goes up to the second floor. Our room was on the third floor so we had to carry our luggage up and down one flight.

Lovely property, spacious room, good breakfast. Close to park. Short drive to main part of town. Parking on site. Good Value.

This hotel exudes old world charm in a leafy natural setting with a river running by it. The rroms are will appointed, the staff accommodating. We enjoyed excellent meals--the breakfast was especially ample in the handsome dining room.

    10ElenaPosted on: 4-14-2025

The location! Is near by the forest, so quiet, the air is so fresh, the staff is very friendly, and the rooms are so spacious.

The only things more disturbing are the smell in the bathroom and the noise of the refrigerator:) otherwise everything is impeccable

    10LauraPosted on: 4-13-2025

We had an amazing short stay. The apartment was spacious, clean with fabulous views. The meals in the restaurant were great and the staff couldn’t be nicer.

    9MosescuPosted on: 1-28-2025

I liked the courtesy of the personel, the food, the cleaning and the value for the money.

The room didn't have balcony, there haven't elevator till the last floor and the lightining was very poor.

Beautiful, cozy and warm hotel with a great breakfast and the most amazing view you could want, in the middle of quiet, peaceful nature but at the same time close to the city.

    10VasilePosted on: 1-5-2025

Very kind and professional bar and reception staff, tasty and varied food, very comfortable rooms, parking and location.

Some bar customers, maybe locals, vaping indoors, despite denying - checking camera records could put things in order with customers who disrespect the right rules and the other customers. Some breakfast brown bread would help.

    10MondocPosted on: 1-2-2025

Quality facilities and super professional and attentive staff. Really cozy and exceptionally clean.

    9Mia S.Posted on: 11-11-2024

We really liked how clean and friendly the staff was, as well as the fact that they have foreign colleagues working there, you don't see this often in this part of Romania.

we didn't like that the electricity stopped as we took the card out, because the fridge was a bit noisy, and we took the card out but our phones would not charge either
