Bad staying thanks to shower without enough hot water

We stayed in Kreuz, while it was not comfortable that hot water got gradually gone in the shower. Called the staff and was told to wait for 5 minutes. It didn't work at all, after one hour, and even worse it was still the same In next day morning.

Rooms were very clean and the area is beautiful.

The village lacks a lot of shops. No bakery, no cafe, no bar, only two restaurants with very few opening hours.

It was a great location a very clean room and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

Settled in a small village square in Schwarzwald surrounded by typical old german houses.

Compared to the fotos of the rest of the rooms in the main building, the coffee house apartment is not as nicely furnished or has a nice atmosphere. The kitchen is super basic and you can cook or prepare a meal, or boil water for tea. The restaurant, which looked quite lovely too, was closed unfortunately.

Breakfast service was ok. Some items were out of stock, but we still had enough to choose from. Bread was fresh and tasteful. We were lucky to not be in the main building. The churchbell is across the street and chimes every 15 minutes. Even at night. Beds were ok. Mattresses were medium firm, pillows too soft.

We had room 4. The shower in our room wasn't used for quite a while. The water was foul smelling and I had to run it for a while to get better (and warm). Seemed fancy with lights and Bluetooth, but rain shower was very dirty. We didn't have proper curtains, and our room was next to an entrance so everybody could see in. There was a curtainrail.. just no curtains. There was a light fixture above the mirror in the bathroom, but no switch to use it. Airco was a bit noisy, cracking and buzzing every few minutes for no apparent reason. Basic room, I think it's overpriced and won't visit again.

The place is spotless clean, very spacious , we were given a whole apartment for the three of us, it had all the amenities you would expect, apart from fans, their stuff was very polite and went out of their way to help us

Location is great only if you’re travelling in the area by car, since it’s off the cityUnfortunately, we were there during a heat wave, and it is understandable that there is no air-conditioning, but a floor fan would have been much appreciated

Spacious property located in the Black Forest. All facilities (biergarten and breakfast) placed in different buildings close to each other.

There are some pain points :(- fridge had food from previous guest (water and pizza)- amenities were very poor and hard to open and use.- bed quite uncomfortable, had back pain and i never have that. My husband too…!!!

High quality, modern rooms. Good traditional beer garden.

Breakfast is taken at a cafe just across the road and is fine but they will not let you use their wi-fi, petty. I was travelling by motorbike, the deep, fine gravel of the car park is very unsuitable for bikes, I parked on the footpath outside the hotel which was OK.

The town was so pretty and the hotel also was very nice. The gentleman that checked us in was really helpful and booked us a table for dinner. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent as well.

Unfortunately, the air-conditioning in the room did not work correctly. We had it on for 30 minutes when it started making a loud noise that prevented us from sleeping. We spoke to reception who said it was releasing condensation and if we turned it off it would stop making the noise within 20 minutes. It continued making the noise for over an hour. This impacted our sleep a lot and the room became very hot and when we opened the windows the church bells rang all night! Obviously, the hotel can't help the church bells but I think they need to fix the air-conditioning especially when it is over 30⁰.

We stayed there one night with our dog. Very helpfull and nice staff. We called them when we could see that we would arrive 30 min past check in, they said it was no problem and kept it open. Very nice room. Very lovely and cute little city! Nice little detour, not too long, from the highway on our way from Denmark to Switzerland. Nice little breakfast. Will definitely recommend.

The price wasn't bad, and it looked clean.

The shower drain backed up and flooded onto the bathroom floor, very disappointing.

Very beautiful hotel with nice decoration.The room are spacious and the bathroom perfect with this shower.We preferred to stay in this beautiful village -take a walk behind the river it is deserved- due to the prices at Baden Baden and we didn’t regret at all!

Maybe the breakfast need more variety or to low the price.

Beautiful Hotel, very quiet. Friendly staff and very clean room. Will defenetly book this Hotel again. A special thank you to the friendly guy in the reception who answered all my questions.

- The modern standard of the spacious room and the bath room.- Wooden floor.- Free parking in front of the hotel.- Hotel restaurant with ample outdoor seating and a high standard of what the kitchen provides - full marks for my dinner!

- Breakfast across the street in a Coffee place that belongs to the hotel was just ok. but nothing really to home about.

Great location in the heart of the Black Forest easy reach for different places and directions, hotel is in a small little village with nothing else in village but other towns are close buy to get to by driving, hotel has parking at back and street parking, on arrival staff are welcoming helpful and friendly, room was lovely all new think it had all been renovated, hotel was clean & tidy, room was lovely clean & tidy with snacks and drinks in room, nice and spacious, bathroom was amazing shower was great, bed was comfortable, had a lovely meal outside in the beer garden, breakfast buffet was ok could have been better and you have to cross the road and go to another building for breakfast

Breakfast could have been better, a tea pot would have been nice instead of a very small cup I had to keep going to fill up ,
