Mercure Hotel Offenburg Am Messeplatz

Reasonably priced.

They left the window open before I went into the room. It filled up with tones of flies and a couple of bugs. Had to spend the first two minutes killing bugs, but after that the room was fine.

Location. Pleasant room.

Expensive breakfast

Swimming place and sauna were very nice! The breakfast was very good. The beds were good to sleep in.

The infrared sauna cabin did not work, fortunately the Finnish sauna worked just fine

For business, it is an accessible area

Location is just about the only thing positive Plus, window can be opened for fresh air.

The property is run-down. Looks extremely outdated.And the Wi-Fi is mission impossible.

The room is clean.

The staff was not so pleasant. I arrived 20 minutes before check-in, and they made me wait until 3:00 PM sharp to check in. At 9:00 AM the next day, a staff member who didn't speak English knocked on my door to find out what time I was leaving.I asked for a glass of water at the reception desk as I was leaving, and they refused. They literally said: sorry, there's no water here.

It hadn’t been updated for years. Pillows were bad and no extra.

Breakfast was worth the price. Fresh bread every day. The location of the hotel was also good

Room was not very clean enough. We found nail clippings under the desk. In the bathtub and on the floor there were a few black hairs. The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed enough. Cobwebs in the corners. Dust on the furniture, grease stains on the brochures. The most irritating thing was that every day at 9 o'clock the maids would knock on the door of the room because they wanted to clean it and it was like that almost every hour until 12 when we left the roomWe had to ask at the reception for coffee, milk for coffee and toilet paper because it was not replenished. Our stay lasted 7 days and I think that paying 12€ for parking for guests is a bit much when you have already paid for the room. I think there should be some kind of discount for people who have a longer stay

Location is hard to reach by piblic transport, but the cheap rentable bikes offered a good solution

Very avaraged place with a shower with a nylon plastic curtain, dirty and oldish.Very avaraged room, not nice stuff in the reception (at least in the morning that we left) and expensive parking. Don't know why they called the room that we got- privileged...

Big room ,verry clean, good value for money and verry nice staff.

The hotel need some renovation

The willingness to accept, that their performance was not good and the "promise" to improve...

Welcome and treat guests with respect and professional. Do not blame "incompetence" (first clerk could not find the two bookings I had) on the guest! More accuracy to invoicing - parking shall be charged by the number of parked cars - not by the number of booked romms! The hotel and the restaurant is a bit run down. A major overhaul is required. Including elevator - if broken: fix it!

Fine property

The property looked outdated and could use some renovation. One of the towels on the room had holes. We had issues with the room key which we received 5 minutes before as the door first didn’t open. The parking is nit free.

Available swimming pool and sauna but those facilities were accessed by non-hotel customers too, rather unpleasant people…

The hotel is worn down; airco did not work properly; one lamp in the bathroom did not work at all; reception staff not really friendly

Location as a stop between Italy and home.

The hotel is old and needs refurbishing.Checkin was supposed to be at 1500. We were early and iso making sure our room was cleaned in time we had to wait till 1540 for our room.The restaurant would be open according to the flyer in the lobby ad of 1400 but was only open at 1600 which left us sitting in the lobby with a coffee machine that was not working.The rooms are dusty anf have old bad beds.12€ for parking, ad if anybody gets there without a car is basically a cheeky price increase.All in all, good enough for a quick stopover but disappointing for the rest.

Good breakfast but ordering possibility for fried eggs would be welcome if those who prepare the buffet areable to do it.

A vastly limited choice in the Restaurant and on Sunday reduced to only one item: Flamkuchen.
