Pros +
- Elegant hotel, Gorgeous design, such well thought details, professional and friendly staff. Food was exceptional!
- The staff was very nice and our room was spacious. The hotel's design held true to its historical roots.
- The room was impeccably clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with modern touches that ensured maximum comfort. The bed was incredibly comfortableWhat truly stood out, however, was the attentive and friendly staff.
Cons -
- The lighting in the bathroom and shower area was dim and difficult to turn off/on.
- We were on the ground floor and it was a little loud (noise from other rooms) but soon quietened when it got late. The electric blinds were a little intermittent!
- Unfortunately, the unpleasant surprise comes from the hotel restaurant which paradoxically has changed in bad in recent times, with the change of menu. The concept but especially the execution does not live up to the demands of fine dining "wanna be" and this fact brings a major disservice to the hotel which by definition is a transit hotel. People want a simple menu with traditional dishes which fortunately have the Alsatian gastronomic celebrity at hand...

The room and the building were very nice! Very comfortable bed. The room facilities were also good - with coffee machine, a mini bar, fridge, a bathtub, lovely shower, a proper hair dryer and robes.

It is the perfect hotel for a 1 night stopover. Unfortunately the city does not offer tourist attractions to motivate spending a weekend or even 2 nights...

Our third visit to Liberty hotel. Very comfortable room. Friendly staff and very good restaurant Wasser und Brot. Close to the city, walking distance. Convenient for e-cars: charging station, 2.
Nothing!
Location
Air condition and the phone in the room was no working
Nice room and comfortable bed. The renovation and design of the building is excellent. The restaurant was a highlight, great food
The light switches in the room were very difficult to operate. No hair dryer.
Food and atmosphere where great.
The service in the restaurant.1 hour at table before food arrived.
Nice design of the exterior and the interior of the hotel. Cozy and comfortable. Parking is right in front of the building.
It was cold in my room (highest floor). The bed was too small.
Fantastic room with amazing attention to detail - shoe horn, chocolates, newspaper already in the room and a welcome letter addressed to me on arrival with all the information I would need. Beautiful space and facilities

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Had good service from the restaurant staff. I liked the unique hotel design
The lovely experience of my stay was ruined when I checked out by the receptionists on dutyThe staff mocked me in front of my face when I casually asked if I could keep one of the pens as a souvenir. I thought it would have a little cute lock symbol on it like the pencil in the room. The receptionist attending to me sarcastically said it's a ganz normale pen and mocked my voice with the other receptionist on duty while I was still standing in front of her. Pity the highly disrespectful and disgraceful behaviour was a front face for an otherwise nice hotel.
Definitely have dinner at this hotel. The cooks are such gourmets. They prepare all the dishes carefully, the food is very tasty. Of course, all the other hotel employees were also very interested and helpful.
I liked the idea of creating a hotel within a once prison, keeping that character, entering the space you do not feel in a hotel because of the restaurant and the bar on the mezzanine floor.
The fact that the hotel guests do not have any kind of priority on the Wasser und Brot restaurant.
Very clean, very modern. Interesting and cool idea. Parking good.
Restaurant overrated. Very pricey. Food ok. In general, nickel and dimed for literally everything.
Very nice design overall and well thought out. I found out that this used to be a jail where many Jews were imprisoned. While the leaning into the prison details nice design-wise, I'm not sure it's considerate. However, its functioning as a hotel overall is pretty impeccable from form to functions. While there's a surcharge for dogs, it's the only hotel we've been to that actually set up a nice little corner for our pup with bed/mat, bowls and a bag of treats. It's such nice little details.
Sauna and pool facilities are actually the public bath a few minutes by walk. While close in distance, we didn't feel that to be convenient. However, keep in mind that we're not originally from Germany or around and are not very well accustomed to the public bath culture in there.
Amazing design. Beautiful, comfortable and in my case extremely quiet rooms. Excellent kitchen and good breakfast. Breakfast service staff is top. Perfect location. Great place for business meetings too with a very nice meeting room and all the facilities one needs.
Nothing. What annoyed me a little is that I couldn’t reach anyone over the phone in 30 mins. Yes, there’s an announcement to leave a message or to write an email but that’s not what I wanted.
All i like about the hotel is the reception stuff as they helped us change the room at 2 am because we were not comfortable
It was very dirty, not comfortable
Confortable in this unique hotel. Bravo to the architect and interiur decorators.
Adding orange juice, jam and butter for the small breakfast.Paying 10€ for unguarded parking space.Restaurent way TOO warm.
Passable
The second night , the hotel held a party at the reception ( hotel lobby )tell late at night. It was too noisy and loud.
